Jacob and Bella laugh and play joke have a better relationship that Edward and Bella they just sit around in the meadow opening gazing into each others eyes.

Werewolves are so much cooler than some gay vampires. Also, Edward is somehow tragic. In the movies I just can't imagine how someone could have fun with this character. It's always tears. Also, werewolves rock. If he isn't in love with her, it sounds like a cheap way of keeping edward and bella happy together without disappointing Jacob.

I totally agree with you Bri. From the time that I read New Moon and onward, I thought Bella should have ended up with Jake. You're totally right - they have a friendship underneath and really... How can she NOT be attracted to Jake? (before Taylor Lautner was cast, I still thought Jake was better looking in the books) I mean... who would you rather cuddle up with? a stone-cold, rock-hard, pale vampire, or a warm muscle-y, cuddle-worthy sweetheart?? I pick warmth over cold ANY DAY.

=P Well... In my opinion Edward and Bella have a stronger connection in the books than in the movies it seems. I think the reason why Edward lied was cuz he just wanted to protect her and felt like he was holding her back from a regular teenage life. But yeah, I do think that your partner should be your best friend too. So... if I were Bella I would've chosen Jacob.

Though I do go from being on team Edward to team Jacob a lot, but in truth I've always been cheering for Jacob cuz he rocks xD

super true! Jacob is protective and so is Edward but they protect her differently. I remember being so mad when Edward just left her in the forest when I read New Moon, and I still get a little irritated at that. And Jacob was always there for her, he's such a cutie pie. =)

Despite my feelings of the franchise, it was a decent move to have such a turnaround, that way those who are into the series can hope that this is temporary, and a further buildup of tension between the two main lovers. I haven't seen the second one yet, but I'll give it a chance once all the hype's died down...
