its not about acting, its about life, and wat ppl go throug. u got the spoiled rich boys who gets wat he wants, the artistic best frend whose creativity gets squashed. the over done insecure grl who tries 2 hard, the grl who loves the wrong guys, and dylon who sees everything and is serieously underestimated because shes plain and invisible to everybody, its not about acting its about life! its not how u sell it, but ho u see it

I really do like this show...sure it's a little rough around the edges, but it's got a great concept. It's a lot better than most of the crap on television right now.

I don't think this show is shit at all. But I also don't think it should be degraded by comments like "oh mah gaw Im obsessed with this show!! jed is so hawt!!". Really, lets lighten up on those. Another thing, Lisa's coach is being honest. I think what he says is great. The show is just about the simple, yet over looked idea that our emotions are not what make us unique but what we decide to do with them that makes us who we are. And at this point in their lives, they haven't decided yet.

A profound drama, not to much black and white, lots of shades of gray and realism. The only thing I recommend as the story progresses that the characters are constantly under more stress. This way we see more of their character, plus more material to work with (a soapier, yet not entirely, drama. I think that's why some people find this boring, so to get to all audiences incorperate that). Keep that in mind as you continue making this series.

It's tough because the vlog plot device adds that whole interesting metafictional aspect to the show and allows some more creative choices, but I don't know how it can adjust to TV, or if it would be as interesting in that format.

It could just stay on youtube, which isn't too bad. But not much money in that. TV has to be the goal of this production -- it's relatively big.

Well, maybe not. If they start hosting it on their site, they can get advertising money, while still maintaining relatively low production costs and creative control. The internet is the new medium, it takes brilliantly made, internet only, shows to illustrate this, but its a growing trend. I think its great, because it allows indie artists to host their art (be it music, pictures or videos) without the limitations of big business and the ease of setting up a server.

The only part I didn't like (or more like consistently don't) is how indecisive and weak Dylan's character is.

Although I understand that this show is supposed to be about how they're all growing and learning about themselves I just don't think it's possible for someone (especially someone hoping to become a lead editor) to be so insecure.

how is dylan weak? she actually had the brazen to speak up when her boss stole her idea. she may have done it awkwardly, but an insecure person, like lisa for example, would've never even made into the chief's office.

I applaud her actually speaking up- that's great. But her approach itself was weak- come in, leave, come in, stand up, sit down (good performance by the way). To be so indecisive in front of her boss just screams insecurity. And honestly if she wanted to excel in her job and was excited about her idea she should of presented it to the boss herself.

Jed walking off is not true to life. When that really happens, those bad actors loose their jobs...unless it's family. Dylan's part hasn't lost it's fullness... hmm: Ally McBiel? Will Danny return to his true love only to find Jed's str8 and breaking more bed springs than he did with his ex(who is fantastic!)?

In this episode, though, I think Dylan's agonized mincing about before her boss is a bit over the top. I get that she's insecure, but it seems a bit implausible that she'd make it all the way into her boss' office only to stammer and sputter.

If nothing else, you'd think fear of seeming afraid would enable her to compose herself long enough to speak her mind, albeit in an insecure way.

Just my opinion.

Good episode! At 4:01 i was going "turn around and punch him in the face!". Lol, asshole. :-P

I like it how it doesn't hang around for 20 episodes before anything happens and the proffesional way the episodes are done. I also like how it brought us right into the plot and has the girl talking to the camera but shes doing it as part of her video blog so its not breaking "the 4th dimension" at all.
