@ivanbro1011 I was at that concert man. New Trier orchestra really new what was up. Nothing compared to Count Basie Orchestra but they had a good feel for what they were playing If I remember correctly. but shit do they have money. all of the booms and cameras used to film this video were their's. and the crew was also New Triers.

@ivanbro1011 So wrong, so wrong so wrong. I am the musical director with CJA in Chicago and I also teach private trumpet lessons and jazz combos for New Trier. I have been there for the last 6 years now. I can say that teaching on the west side of CHicago is totally different than New Trier, but the love for the music is still there. I was backstage all night watching the show and the kids who were in that band played their asses off.

Respond to this video... There are kids in that program that have a little more feel and knowledge than the norm. Those kids even performed this year at the Jazz Showcase as a quintet and killed it on a main night. I'm just saying
