  • Hey!

Can anyone tell me how to make the effect at 0:50?

  • I think i just got a hard on from the 69 Shelby O.o

  • thats one rare classic shelby....

  • im surprised he called it a hood and not a bonnet

  • i wonder just how thorough the restorations were on those classics. simple things like modern bushings will make a noticeable difference on handling. getting down to brass tacks, theres nothing more satisfying, or sexier than a classic car. i think these new cars just lack the soul that the corn fed originals do. maybe its the absence of american blood and sweat.

  • LOL. watch 8:00 into the video. the Mustang say a corner and didn't know what to do. Silly American cars.

  • @WeThePeople2020 Wow, thanks for that great post. It's so relevant!

  • @DodgeChallenger426 Completely relevant, it proves yet again that 1) American cars go fast in a straight line but can't corner for shit and 2) American drivers are some of the worse on the road.

  • Comment removed

  • The only problem with both old and new versions is that they are all too big! Especially the new Challengers, feels like i'm driving in a Dodge Ram lol

  • @brhaacke yea... well my modded supercharged v6 looks better then the v8 vertion, is quicker then the v8, more fuel efficent, cheaper to insure. and quieter.... because that low deep hum is actually very anoyying....after 20minutes. and bought for the same price as the v8 vertion. but i guess im a poser right? thats what your gonna argue when i beat your uglyer lesser of a car....because i saw the real value in the V6, and you though with your dick....

  • @CemetaryGatesML Wow, don't get mad man. Have ou thought what happens if you supercharge the v8, it will pbviously smoke your supercharged v6. With a muscle car you need a v8 man, if no go with an import they are quicker as v6 models.

  • The older cars have a style that cant be replicated or matched. You can always throw in a modern engine and upgrade the suspension components of the older cars. And you still have that style. The newer cars are heavier and have no style compared to the older cars. I dare say the older cars are far superior because they are much lighter and can be extensively upgraded to easily outmatch the newer counterparts.

  • I think they were the good old days because the old cars were alot more affordable to the average 20 something back then. So people enjoyed the power and style when they were young, thus the great memories. These new cars are priced for late 30-40 somethings with deeper pockets who have a little more money to blow. They are nicer cars, but the memories can't compare to when you were in your teens/20's. I think that is the major difference between the generations.

  • @donnis618 amen

  • @donnis618 Yep.

  • CHALLENGERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Theres a good thing we see here though, How all the modern takes pay tribute and imitate the classic styling

  • what was the song that was playing during the challenger intro?

  • new one camaro is to big in my opinion

  • I have a 2010 SS LS3 and this one chick showed me her dad's 69 Camaro. Looked sweet but I prefer my car better. In fact, I prefer all this new muscle cars over the classics. To me they look way better and they totally out perform them. And if that wasn't enough, the newer engines have better gas mileage. That's my preference and opinion to all those rabid classic crusaders.

  • Who's that hot looking whore that comes out in those T-Mobile commercials before this clip?

  • The old cars don't stand a chance but if it weren't for them we wouldn't have the awesome cars that we have today. A lot of old timers need to see this article and realize how fast todays cars are

  • they say they got the best of the old did we forget the 69 camaro ytc! 427 ci 425 hp!!

    and the 70 cuda 440ci 470 hp!

and did we for get the king! the 62 shelby cobra 427ci = 2.9 sec to 60!!!!!!! no one likes to remember the old kings they always half ass everything

  • I wish they would have done a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T vs it's modern equivalent.

  • i would take any one of those classics over any modern euro trash car

  • A true American V8 fan will have their favorite brand, but still drool over the others.

  • I'm up in SLC, and I see the same problem. Guys buy the v6 car thinking it is cool. It ruins the image of the muscle car. Posers man. V8 baby

  • @brhaacke V6 for my girl V8 for me (big Daddy) :D

  • @brhaacke doesent matter

  • @brhaacke Yeah, honestly they shouldn't have made a V6 option. Of course, the car companies sell out to those that just like the style instead of the car's whole purpose and legacy.

  • @brhaacke the classics were available with 6's as well. I know what you're getting at, but the poser thing isn't new.

  • The style of the classics.

  • Challengers all the way.

  • Everyone wants to use the drum rhythm from movie "Ronin"

  • The new Ponycars may out perform, but the styling of the Classics are unmatched. I'll take the Classics any day :D

  • @PimoAn01 not to mention the beautiful growl of an old school big block

  • @PimoAn01 All you hear when you hear a 70 Challenger Is:Chalangerrerrerr

  • @PimoAn01 V6 ponies are the ALTERNATIVE from IMPORTED V6/I6 like 350Z, G35, Supra, or E46 M3.

  • i like the old challenger more then the new one.

  • damn wish they would have done the G.T.O.but poor dodge that challenger looks out dated already.

  • i had to suffer with my dads old car,

no aircon, faulty radio, no power steer

no traction control. but im happy with it

  • Emissions regulations ruined the muscle car. Not that being able to see LA now is a bad thing though..

  • lol soooo... no comparison on the old charger and the new? lmao.

  • Obviously the morons at MotorTrend have no fucking idea of what is a HotRod.

Those are great "MUSCLE CARS" no hotrod.

  • To qoute the great Jeremy Clarkson while he talks about american made cars: ''They were rubbish then, they were built by idiots, and they are rubbish now'' enough said i think...

  • @ColdplayBest1 are you serious? ha ha wow jeremy clarkson has a dick up his ass, he is by far the biggest hypocrite, he'll say shit about any car in the world whether it be french, german, sweedish, or american he will say something that's total bullshit about the car. Old american cars are not "rubbish" they are beautiful pieces of art. The man knows absolutely nothing of cars, he can only bitch about them. HE DOESNT EVEN KNOW HOW TO WORK ON THEM!! and you're trusting judgement from him?haha ok

  • @mmmmhonda Shouting never got anyone anywhere...

  • @ColdplayBest1 and the zr1 vette still smokes imports.

  • @PGROSYE02 Not in reliability

  • @ColdplayBest1 funny. clarkson owns a zr1.

  • @boostnsrt Not true...

  • @ColdplayBest1 ahh i stand corrected after a little researche he owns 2 american cars, both fords, one being an escort rs and the other a ford gt.

  • @boostnsrt true that, but he sold both a while back. the GT was fucked up by UK-based Ford dealers to try and make it legal on European roads (making it extremely unreliable) and the Escort was sold because he got an insurance quote for 22.000 pounds ($34.210) the car itself cost 38380 pounds ($58.142).

  • dear santa.

if you can get me a 70 Dodge Challenger:D

  • It's cuz they cost so much. You g guys can't afford a 50k car. The new 392 cost 50k. Convertible gt500 53+. And ss camaro list for 30ish but good luck finding one that cheap.

  • Around here it's all old ladies in camaros. There's only a few new mustangs in town but there are rich old ladies in camaros everywhere. There's an eighty year old woman driving a challenger rt also. I drive a 2011 gt mustang which is kinda rare in my town.

  • Well in 50 years, todays modern cars will look just as classic as the old timers here

  • they should do an episode on deloreans

  • so many nice cars

  • they looks great but cars as performance cars are bull. handling is the worst and there is no performance car without handling. and that v8 is unnecessary. build quality is like in any american car- bull.

if going whits reason never buy it but if you go by beauty and price its no. 1 in usa. in eu we cant even drive it- to low safety and build standards, only oldtimers

  • My gtz would woop ur ass quad u putonghua

  • Whats really fun is out racing both Ricers and Mustang GT boys and girls in my '94 Olds 98. 3.8L supercharged! Man do they get upset when that big 4dr sedan pulls ahead and stays ahead...

  • @GMdrivingMOPARguy the 1970 challenger 318 with a a833 weighs 3900 i know cuz i scraped a 73 challenger with the 318 833 4 speed, and the new base model challenger weighs 3640 the srt8 probably weighs 4100 but i am 100% positive the 70 hemi challenger with the cast iron 833 not aluminum weighs over 4,000,and they do make a 850 holley throttle body mine is a 850 holley commander they also make them up to a 2000 cfm,go to my profile and look at my website under performance you will see them

  • Time capsule expensive Muscle VS Plastic peace of shits...thats a good compareson allright..Imagine with the 1969 GT500 you all three of those new cars..

  • Comment removed

  • i think we have the first generation of attractive, powerful muscle cars since the 60s and early 70s.

  • I'm not a fan of these old muscle cars. I my opinion they are tin boxes with incredible basic engines. That being said I do like the old Challenger :3

  • Seriously, give me any and ill be happy

  • well and you got to remember the old ones are made out of steel they are heavy tanks the new ones are plastic and weigh as much as a feather, now if you had a 426 hemi get 2 throttle body adapter plates for the 2-4 intake and put 2 throttle bodies on it and made it fuel injected it would be a car from hell 0-60 would be 2 times faster than the new one,the old cars were built with big old cast iron blocks big fucking carbs and big cams not computer chips and plastic valve covers, weightless shit

  • @JoeysFunFarm You do know that all of the new cars in this video are heavier then the old ones right? Its all that computor crap in them. And i have never seen a carburated engine switched to the tbi injection make more power, they make worse

  • @GMdrivingMOPARguy i dont know about the ford or chevy but accually the base model 2011 challenger weighs 3640 and the 1970 challenger base model weighed 3850 or 3900 if equiped with a cast iron 833 4 speed...., tbi injection gives you way more horspower i got a 77 dodge w200 with a 440 all stock converted to tbi holley 850 throttle body making 350 horspower thats 100 more horse than stock using factory 4 barrel intake with adapter plate,

  • @JoeysFunFarm I dont know where you found those specs from but they are false. The new Challenger is 4100+ pounds and the 1970 is about 3500ish depending on what engine. And by 850 throttle body i assume you mean carburator because Holley dosen't make a TBI with an "850 throttle body." And on that adding 100 horses you had to do somting else to the engine like a cam and intake swap. No single bolt on adds that much (Barring Nitrous Oxide)

  • @GMdrivingMOPARguy and i have a 1990 dodge ram with a 360 police package with a 750 holley throttle body and spacer plate thats producing 300 horse the last year of the 345 swirl port police heads has a lockup a518 trans non computerized overdrive,..was ordered for west virginia state police but was never put into use just sat at the dealership till an older woman bought it for hauling horse trailers,

  • the only reason the old ones didnt win is because of the massive tourqe of the big blocks melting the tires wile the new ones got traction control and can barrely spin the tires from a dead stop,if you put that 440 in that light new challenger it would haul ass it has so much tourqe the rear end would rip right out the frame would snap in half, i garanttee if you hook up 10,000 pounds to them the big blocks they will pull it like nothing wile the new cars would kill trying to pull it.

  • @aaabbbeee what if a women can drive like a man? my husband doesnt think its a bad thing, not many chicks drive cervini mustangs! but i do!! and plus a v6 shouldnt be called a "muscle car"

  • i think the old ones were cool but there crap I think new is much better

  • I compare these new cars to music on CD, and the classics to my old vinyl records. While the CD is clean sounding and consistant, it doesn't quite have the "soul" the vinyl has. On paper the numbers show a clear winner, but nothing can compare to hearing those secondaries open up on a big block as you downshift and roll on the sauce. Whats better? who gives a shit, give me a v8, a stick shift and posi and I'll have a blast while you guys argue about it

  • why not run the top chevy camaro and top challenger? The new cars run were all top and the ford, but the chevy had alot stronger engines and mopar had the hemi. Also why not run better tires on the older ones, bias ply sucked and didnt hook at all, stoping time and drag times would also have been better on the older cars.

  • I reject your reality and substitue my own... old cars are the best. It is much easier to upgrade them from stock, unlike newer cars where you have to deal with things like, computers. Old cars look better too. They also should have done the 1970 Chevelle SS LS6, that would have given those new cars a run for their money.

  • Well lets face it. Modern technology makes newer pony/muscle cars better than their gran-daddies in the performance field. However, due to increasing safety standards styling takes a hit. They still all look good. What I do miss is the ability to work on your own vehicle, and the sound that older cars have. Everything now is fuel injected and smooth sounding. I love my 2009 Challenger RT, but what I would do for an old C-body, lol.

  • the 69 mustang. really? one of the ugliest. no 67

  • This Australian dude makes me wanna puke.

  • eh idk bout the 69 gt500, i think the '67 is a better match, and better looking

  • So in conclusion, the new mustang was the best, and the old mustang was the best.

  • @AnonymoussourceL0L Lmao, gotta love it! Mustang rules the pack as always.

  • @AnonymoussourceL0L well, we alreay knew that

  • Good, now show us old British sports cars. The best genre of cars ever

  • If this video is about Old VS New then i want to see some handling test, some drag racing, this video was just about the looks and some specs whats under the hood.

  • I hate to say it but......The new mustangs are being ruined by women. All I see are teenage girls buying v6s and it makes the GTs and Shelbys look bad. I already see the Camaro starting to have the same problem. Maybe it's just in LA......

They should take a step back and make the Mustang what it used to be; a performance car for the working man.

  • @aaabbbeee hate to tell you, but the mustang was originally a secretary's car. How are they being ruined by women? That argument has no weight. So what if women like em anyway? Plus thats also a terrible business strategy. The mustang is still a badass muscle car, and always will be..

  • @kestkr HAHAHAHA badass muscle car? nooo. it is sadly now a car for posers and chicks. i see 10 v6s for every gt. and like 30 v6s for every shelby i see. its sad. the camaro is also unfortunately becoming like that because of its looks. the only real muscle car left in terms of demographic, looks, etc is the challenger 392 srt8

  • @kestkr Maybe i'm just grumpy. Two of my female classmates got v6 premiums for their high school graduation presents and I couldn't help but feel a tad depressed.

  • @aaabbbeee it's just in L.A.

  • @aaabbbeee thats not just a LA thing here in Texas the mustangs an camaros are being driven mostly by women an outta shape posers & geezers who wanna be hip lol ... an the Dodge Challengers are driven by men, as they should , i mean just looking at the car u can tell its more of a" DUDES CAR "

  • @kdog18ful Sont know what part of Texas your in, But Ive noticed in western texas more men driving mustangs and fords in general. i see different types of people driving mustangs. And the people driving challengers are the older guys like my dad. But he still has a 72 Nova and 78 trans am...and you cant look at a car and say oh a man should only drive that. But then I take it its more diverse over here. But hell, I feel more happy in Texas.

  • @aaabbbeee exactly they need to make it ugly again

  • @aaabbbeee it's actually not that way in Europe. It's friggin expensive to own a Mustang, teenage girls drive Golfs or Priuses... I mean, you quite literary cannot afford driving to school or work with a Mustang through a city, because the gas price on average is about 2$ per litre, which is like 7,5$ per gallon!

  • @aaabbbeee nope its here in dallas texas too....

  • @aaabbbeee

    why so sexist?

  • @aaabbbeee its like that here in toronto also

  • @aaabbbeee Mustangs were made with women in mind. You got the story backwards. Men took a liking to them and made them what they are today. And there are plenty of women driving GT's around.

  • @aaabbbeee Car are becoming so user friendly anyone can climb in and drive

  • @aaabbbeee yeah im in la too, and the v6's are killing out camaros, challengers, and mustangs

  • @jampants1 looks more like what the new ones were based after, cause the 69 is when they started to drastically change the style from the original

  • they should've used a 67 or 68 mustang instead

  • the only car that looks the same from the past is the camaro

  • Old muscle cars are useless. They are only valuable to nostalgic sick old timers and investors hoping to make a quick buck off them.

  • @DONDIVA1969

yeah, sure, better thing is a 1.4 tiny block engine that pulls out 100hp...turbocharged

  • You guys should stop arguing about ford x chevy x chrysler, they're all awesome muscle cars and we are all muscle car lover,we should unite against those japanese rice-eating-hybrid-treehugger-shit or in the future we will have camaros and challengers running on batteries with no power at all

  • @wagnerpunk77 you left out european cars. for some reason you people only bash on japanese cars. white power?

  • @oiufo

i'm latin ;) and i was talking about the "1.4 turboed" fever we got now,not only because of japanese small engines, americans also has that (see focus and cobalt),also, you said about track times, vette ZR1 holds the second best time in nurburging, viper ACR holds the best time in american top gear test track and hennessey venom 1000 GT (twin turbo ls9) holds the title of fastest street legal car in the world

  • @wagnerpunk77 Thanks for the info. I wouldn't mind owning one of those cars.

  • I don't think that you can find spare parts for the high-tech electronic devices in the news cars in 40 years to keep them running like the old ones.

  • Comparing 40 year old cars to new ones isn't really fair...they should just compare their impact, significance, and their performance within context

  • nothing beats the 60s and 70s you open the hood and suprise suprise you see a motor not a bunch of plastic and computers

  • I like the Challengers better new or old!

  • my tree favourite cars the old ones ;)

  • I love how theres so many comments bashing japanese cars....at the end of the day it's all weight-power-ratio and thats whats going to bust ANY car on its ass. As long as you got the power to pull it and it looks nice (not rice), it has my respect . Also who gives a shit about 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, take that heavy ass shit around a turn or try to dip with it through traffic and see how fast you'd be breaking . Just enjoy the cars, no fighting over stupid shit

  • How do you guys find time to argue? I was too busy orgasming when I heard the sound of those engines . . .

  • all the motor trend guys have voices tht are way too "matter-of-fact" sounding and they annunciate too much which makes th commentaries CRAP!! Top Gear pounds these vids into th ground. MotorTrend shuld jus stick wit their sights and sounds vids

  • All the Original Cars still have the looks like a lady with class.

  • NOTHIN LIKE NO OLD SCHOOL!!!

  • /watch?v=a8O4MyyjnXI watch dis fight!!!! its raw!

  • worst drift ever in the end lmfao!

  • yea i got a 2010 mustang gt and raced against a 1985 iroc and i blew it away easily.

  • this just shows how good of a program Top Gear really is...

  • I think there should only be one type of mustang, the 1967 fastback.

It's a shame that Ford made other version of mustangs. There shouldn't be any other mustangs.

  • just a few days until i get mine....

  • there r two kinds of cars...mercedes benz cars and the muscle cars..others r rubbish..

  • my dream cars.....all in here.....

  • ill take the old ones thank u very much

  • @jhaul21 then you test drive it and it falls apart and turns in to dust

  • @jhaul21 tell me about it...

  • We love the video

  • look up "gary carmike" beast 19y white rapper

  • put that new mustang out there with a 429 SCJ. then tell me which is better.

  • the new camaro is ugly.

  • @mrincredible26 the new new camaro is pretty cool

  • New muscle cars sucks. They are vulgaris.

  • Great video, it was refreshing to have someone talk about how it felt to drive a car rather than focus soley on number.

  • American MUSCLE is the way to go.

  • Nothing beats the sound of an old musle car exhaust

  • If you truly love cars like me then you would love cars from muscle cars all the way to sti's to civics..

  • @SyLaRSaGe true, just the ricers are gay as fuck, tuners i give props cause they are real, not fake with just a fart canon and other dumb shit

  • Long live '60's big block muscle car Golden Age syndrome!

  • Comment removed

  • i have a big dick i juzt need a car like that

  • ..... WHY... do alot of u muscle car fanatic compare a car that has like only 160hp civic to a hmm 450+ mustang or camaro... and Ricer, is completely different from real JDM honda, nissan, ect... ricer, Only Looks, compare it to an EQUAL matched car like a GTR... which is probably faster and can take a corner with ease unlike majority of muscle cars, not all.

  • My dream cars together:) the roaring of those engines sounds inviting:)

  • CLUBNIK HAR8 TECKTONIK 2011(BY GOJO)

  • All i heard is blablablablbalaaaaaaaabablablablaaaaaaa. I dont fucking about the shitty details! I WANNA RACE!

  • Europe and Japan has it's own unique perspective in their respective automotive creation..

and then there's just A GOOD OLD AMERICAN MUSCLE.....

  • I want them ALL! :D

  • WTF? This are american classics and the presenter is narrating like reading a McDonald's menu.

  • new charger vs 69 charger you can tell me witch car is better

  • 38 dislike at the moment

  • now thats a car

  • HEY

  • American cars are shit. Therefore over 70% of the population of the U.S drives a Honda, Nissan, and even a Toyota.

  • Honda's are the best car in the world, thats why they are the #1 car producer in the world. They are the fastest, koolest, and most durable.

  • @austinp769

    fastest? The fuck you smokin?

  • @austinp769 They're annoying to hear on the streets when some teenager thinks it's cool to make his Civic sound like Fat Albert taking a shit.

  • @austinp769 sorry but one thing there not is fastest and coolest

  • i still like the chargers better then the challengers

  • i dont give a fuck about the inside! race the fucking cars already!

  • we want a fucking race !
