Never had a doubt that those covers would hold up to that type of abuse.Which really isn't much.Grass and saplings. Noticed you didn't let him throw the scope against rocks though.That would have broke the covers.If the covers actually came in contact instead of the scope body itself.Better yet throw it on some concrete. Have seen dozens of the BC flip ups broken in saddle scabbards and gunbearers on back pack hunts.
