I picked up this book from the sales table at my local book store, read the blurb, decided it sounded interesting enough for eight dollars and bought it. But decision I've ever made in my life. I'm definitely going to go get her other books. She's hilarious, and the characters are charming.

@AlicjaPrzybysz My personal favourite is "Can you keep a secret". I feel that all her books are really good and extremely entertaining to read. Just pick one and I guarantee it'll be a good read ;)

i finished the book in just one day, i was so addcited, i couldnt stop reading, this whole jon-lexi romance was very addicting and exciting. i wish some director would turn this book into a movie, i've read every single book that she has written, but this is by far the best

Sophie Kinsella is responsible for feeding the neuroses of an entire generation of "aspirational" (ie. whiny and deeply, deeply irritating) twenty-something women.

My girlfriend mentioned a "Mont Blanc"..? We were both extremely happy, multiply-orgasming our way through life, before Sophie Kinsella put this revolting idea into her fragile little brain. I can't think of a bigger turn off than seeing her with whiffy cream smeared around her gob.

Try reading some Chekov. Anything but this.

Ok, at the risk of sounding stupid, would someone mind telling me why she says (throughout the book) " She wakes up in hospital", shouldn't there be a "the" in between "in" and "hospital"? As is, she wakes up in THE hospital? I just don't get it, I thought it was an orthographic mistake, but I guess not.

If anyone knows, would you mind explaining? Thanks.

its british. when they talk about hospital in britain, for some reason they don't put "a"

@fanowood Well, it is possible not to have a "the" between the two words. I don't really know how to explain it. But it won't be possible if she says. "She wakes up in bedroom." That would seem really weird. But "She wakes up in hospital." is okay.

hm, i've read the book, and to be honoust, her other books are much better than this (in my opinion) i really like her style of writing and this book IS good, but i think her other things are better, like for example: the undomestic goddess;)

its my first book to read by Sophie Kinsella , i dont usally read these kinds of books but the review of her book kinda made me smile :) reading about politcs and history is fun for me but it doesnt put a smile upon my face i hope her book will do that :) i just ordered her book i cant wait to read it yay :)
