  • Complete rubbish! Your story about 24 could be down to the fact you are just slow and not very clever. Plus, when you revise, you are much better off making your own notes as information gets digested better than just reading someone else's!!!

  • "winning by sharing"... she just discribed me. Wow, i didn't you could tell so much about a person just what generation they are from.

  • Nice Work Penny "Power On" *****Gene

  • This is very interesting, I am classed as "Gen Y", yet so is my 16 year old brother, and I will tell you, he can do savvy things on the internet I didnt even know existed! Im not sure if I should be stoked to be included in this savvy group or concerned that I seem to be lagging behind the younger of the Gen Y's!

  • Learn to have these people work for you :)

  • More good stuff from Penny...

  • I know Mark!! I'm last Century ok ok... had ya laugh?? good! :)

  • Bring back the amstrad and carrier pigeon

  • That's a very interesting point that Penny raises. I hadn't really thought about the differences in the generations before.

  • Thats really interesting point about the differently wired brain in the younger gen. I have just had a wee boy so I'll see this in the near future i bet.

  • It's amazing even what my 3.5 year old son can do with technology - probably more than my mother. :) Winning by sharing - perhaps a reflection of the social network culture?

  • "Generation Y children" I teach however am taught by these children. I laugh when I think about the basic computer functions I was learning at their age.

  • Being part of Gen Y I don't really understand how people can't be doing heaps of things at once, watching tv while listening to my iPod and doing homework!

  • That's just the point! How funny. You are evidence of GenY being different.

  • Haha! I remember giving my parents grief because they couldn't program the VCR. Now I have so many devices I simply can't be bothered working out how to use all the functions they have.

Anyone know how to get Skype going on a PSP?

  • Gosh! I've only just become really active with skype.. it's so convenient for work and keeping in touch with family while living overseas - but its difficult to get older people to use it and some just don't comprehend it at all. What amazes me is what the kids younger than me are teaching me!!

  • Jacs - you are SOOOOO last century. LOL

  • Penny is so right about the whole concept of learning from Gen Y, as they are very different form what I was like at that age. My sis-in-law for example, who is in her teens, has a completely different take on the way she is wired to technology. She lives and breathes it and always seems to be a step ahead! So if we don't keep up with them and serve them what they would be wanting, I reckon we would lose out.

  • Winning by sharing, I like that. If only I could teach my seven year old that. I really like what Penny has to say, I always find her view on things really interesting

  • I'm off to blog this!

  • No way!

My daughter was doing her first Skype Video Conferencing before she was 2.... not sure of what I make of her brain being 'wired'!
