mia wasikowska is an incredible actress. if you haven't seen it, watch season 1 of "in treatment" on hbo or get it on dvd. her performance will blow you away. she's every bit as talented as gabriel byrne and that is HIGH praise.

Good Lord, Alice can slay a Jabberwocky and save an entire kingdom, yet she's shy and fidgety in interviews. :-) It didn't help that Mia's mike wasn't working either, in addition to the interviewer fudging her last name and harping on her ethnicity near the end.

Your right her Australian accent only comes out when she says certain words. I'm guessing the area she lived in just didn't have a strong accent or she tones it down for when shes in America. Or was this interview actually in Ireland?
