I have a thought. The galaxies are soooo large that even if the earth and our solar system was still around when this happened, I wonder if it would really affect our solar system? Like a bactirum really doesn't move that much if someone threw a big boulder in a lake. It would move but things near it would move in same location. See what I 'm sayin anyone?
glad i wont be around to see it ;d and there is a theory that the very center of each galaxy is a black hole so don't worry ... Earth will be long gone sucked in or flunget out of the galaxy before somethin like that happens ...
sorry for the mistakes but i'm far from being english ;d
what i think is realy amazing , keep in your mind this process goes so very very very slow , everytime i look at the timebars its more then 5000000 years per second i watch . could that mean if a collision happens , planets will remain intact?, anyone? , i am very curious , and others knoweledge is very welcome at my channel . offcourse i sub to your channel. thanks in advance for any anwser
@euphoritch Almost none of the matter in the two galaxies will actually collide with one another. It's all gravity. Though the solar system would be moved significantly, It will have virtually no impact on the environment of the solar system itself, thus all of the planets would remain intact (ignoring the fact the sun will be swelled up by than, and Earth would be a molten ball of lava).
@LeeRLang wow , that is mindblowing to think of ...i mean on highspeed simulations it look very agresive and destructive , 2 galaxy,s colliding . still there is like you say great harmony btween the 2 . man you provided me with some nice stuff do spin my mind some more . thank you . its nice when someone can give some clean anwsers about things like this . cheers m8!!
@euphoritch Because galaxies are mostly empty space, planetary collisions are unlikely (close to 0% chance I would guess). The Earth as we know it, without intervention, would be long gone by this time.
@twistedfool420 Wonder is good but the current models predict a very dark future as galaxies 'n things expand at an accelerated rate. The predicted Heat Death seems to be a cold reality as well.
Lol the number of stars colliding predicted for the crash is 6. SIX out of TWO HUNDRED BILLION.... Why? because the stars in galaxies are proportionately spread out like a few baseballs scattered across north america.
@IMAFISHYAY i found it so difficult to keep in mind what you say . what we see is soooooo damn large , and besides that . many times it looks like planets stay in tact . i mean is there any collison within the galaxy . like planets exploding and stuff like that? it looks like one great harmony , if earths galaxy enters a collision wil earth survive that? ( with or without humans ) ? . thanks for any response.
@LeeRLang u might be right about the tasting , it always looks like both galaxy,e like eachother . . there are even collisions producing new galaxy,s . fuckin amazing man . i like your vision. makes it possible to see the big picture
Its weird how people say that these galaxies will collide. When, M31 sits right next to another galaxy. M110. Why won't those collide? Or maybe they will, and all u scientists are just craving galactic destruction.
@KaitoKid10040 M110 is orbiting M31. It is a "Sattelite galaxy" and is much smaller than M31 (and m31 is andromeda, BTW). Its equivilant is the large magellanic cloud that orbits the milky way. Sciencepower!
@Tuathalful I could be wrong. The person who did this calculation thinks it would be catastrophic (assuming the Earth was saved from our sun's predicted expansion). disclose . tv/action/viewvideo/13230/How_The_Milky_Way_Will_End/
well you guys its not going to be fun when we get either sucked in the other galaxy or even thrown out of our own its not going to be easy going its two galaxies colliding we wont be fine xD but we wont be here when it happens so yea
@Celsius32493 Even they who are there when it happens will not notice much either during their lifetime, the sequence here took over 3000 years, and since our Sun will burn out at about the same time, they maybe are lucky to be picked up by another Sun, if it's not to late already.
Really? It better be. Then we don't have to worry then our galaxy just swallows Andromeda whole. Otherwise, if Andromeda is still bigger than us, then I hope it misses or gets swallowed by a bigger galaxy than it before it swallows up us.
he thinks his cool. he thinks it some sort of termintor that finished and excited mission with lots of explostion. but what we all what he reali finshed.
Well seeing that most stars are light years apart what would be the chance of two stars colliding during the mixing? About a billion to one? So even if Andromeda collided with the Milky Way there would be nothing to worry about. According to astronomers there are stars in the Milky Way that orbit the core opposite to other stars, plus bands of stars that orbit at different velocities. This suggests the mixing of galaxies has happened once before in the Milky Way. Check out the inflation theory.
Even when they do collide it'll just become a bigger elliptical or irregular galaxy. Anyway, the sun is going to swell up well past the orbit of mars in approx. 5,000,000 and take most of the solar system with it, including Earth
I thot the collision will produce an elliptical galaxy. I don't really see elliptical-ness coming about here, perhaps because the simulation lacks dust and gas simulation?
What's the background music?
