This is standard CCFL, it's just a LCD with LED back-lit or edge-lit. Real LED, called OLED, is expensive as hell, today you get an real OLED tv 15" for about $1800. The lifetime of OLED screens is about 3 years.

I think people should know the difference :)

@DetroitPC313 Between LCD adn LED, I picked LED for the plasma-like blacks, adn a better color gamut. I didn;t go for plasma becaseu they suck for gaming, and I have a computer i'm goign to hook it up to.

@AbdallahProductions Plasmas have the best black level and film-like quality to the picture. Then LCDs with LED Blacklit, then regular LCDs. But Plasmas are a power hog, so his choice of an LCD with LED backlit is perfect, IMO.

LH90 only come with 80 Dimming Zones and 960 LEDs

Both LH95 and 8500 = 240zones

One Question if you can answer for me? How do you hook up the audio to a stereo. I have a ps3 hooked up to it via hdmi, but cant get any auido to the surround sound system. What gives?

depends.. see on your TV if it has an Optical input, if it does then get a optical cable and put it in the optical output on your surround system. whatever is on your TVs screen the cable will send signals towards the surround system and you will get the sound. also depends on your surround sound system and i dont know if PS3s have an optical output/input if they do then connect PS3 to surround system.

me 2, I cannot tell the difference between my lcd's 120 hz and the led's 220 hz. I mean, plasma tv's have had 600 hz for a while and i couldn't even tell the difference with them either.... I think the whole motion hertz thing is a sales gimmick, come over and check out my 52" samsung lcd playing a blu ray in 1080 p and compare it to any led and show me a difference that is noticeable. I dont think their will be many, lol.

Widescreen is better esp. if u have a widescreen TV. W/S allows u to C more of the originally movie the way he director shot it. Fullscreen is formatted to fit ur standard def TV :( but it u get a W/S DVD u will have black bars top/bottom if ur TV is a standard (BOX) TV and u will not c the whole movie as was originally shot.

Dude, thats an amazing tv, however looking at where your gonna put the tv, i would leave it right where it is...put the frame thats on the tv now and place it where you wanted to put your tv. You have a nice size room as well when you do add your surround, it will sound better. In the other place the sound will not sound as good. Take my word. I will be posting my tv today, i have the 52" aquos 120mhz. and my surround sound system. Great job, i hope you take my pointers.

The Samsung is a little bit more sharper of a image.. but the LG has deeper blacks.. overall the my Samsung beats this TV in specs

Great purchase man. I have the 47" LH90. Are you going to get it professionally calibrated. Make sure you put the brightness above 52 so the LEDs do not turn completely off when the screen fades to black.

yes infact i paid the extra 300bucks for them to come out a hook up a calibration system to it and suposivly it well make the picture more sharper and lessin the blur!?!?
