@kljMN2 surprising because we all know her potential. not surprising as she went through a very tough and career-threatening surgery and is little by little climbing her way back. from 2009 now, she has had some displays of incredible tennis but never was able to do this consistently. 2011 was really the first solid season for her since the comeback and she got to a semi and a Grand Slam final, so I think we can hope for the best in the next seasons

Come Aussie Open 2012, it will have been four years since Sharapova's last Grand Slam title. A little surprising, I guess...
