Guess what, naruto had way more knowledge on Pain than jiraya, he knew the 1 that could heal, absorb chakra, and the one that controlled gravity crap. He also knew that there as no real one.... IF jiraya knew all of this at the start then Pain would be dead....
jiraya is way stronger than naruto the only reason naruto didnt die fighting pain is because he is the main character,and if he didnt have the nine tailed fox then he would have been dead from the begining of the series.
Yeah naruto WAS winning but he didnt want to kill Nagato because that would have just continued the cycle of revenge. When the Sage/Kyuubi mode activated you could even see that Nagato was scared.
