  • @PRUSAterritory Did you know that PuertoRico is not even half of the half of cuba. Did you know that the simple fact of getting the West of PuertoRico was a miracle, due to the tortures and masacares by the simple act of reunion and to the little space, (Unlike Cuba) that We got to make clandestine reunions. Did you know that it was because a dirty snitch that the Spanish knew before the Revolution took place, so they had to do it before the date & the weapons did not arrive. From 20 a 1000 plp.

  • 4 gatos jajajaj si son tan patriotas pro q no dan un golpe de estado y cojen a l afuerza el gobierno? ais es facil viviendo d tio sam

  • PR, PRESENT - FUTURE. NO OPINIONS, JUST FACTS.

-STATE: Remaining companies & business pay Federal+State Tax=move elsewhere for cheaper labor. 99% unemployment, public sell land move to USA.

-COLONY: Slowly to statehood, taxes, federal voting, representation in USA Congress. Businesses wont invest in PR, invest where labor is cheaper. Population grows & unemployment fall.

-INDEPENDENCE: Leave US Dollar, compete on int'l level, more foreign investment, employment rises, self sufficient country.

  • Puerto Rico esta levantandose! veramos a ver lo que viene.

  • Thank You, Gracia mi Hermano

  • Escuchar hablar al Sr. Rafael Cancel Miranda. Yo estuve alli y no me canso de escucharlo aun debajo de la lluvia...

  • Juan Ruiz Rivera was the Puerto Rican general in the Cuban army had boats ready to land in PR but was told to backed off by those that were pushing for AUTONOMY because they knew Spain was going to give in soon. Spain is was an empire they were only willing to give as much as they had to. If they didnt give into those that wanted AUTONOMY they would have had to deal with another war like the one they were losing in Cuba.

  • Spain let PR have Autonomy because they feared, with good reason, that PR would soon go into a full scale rebellion like was happening in Cuba,

  • But the detail are not relevent. By any account, wheather pro-indendence, pro-colony with US or pro-statehood, Puerto Rico was a colony to the repressive Spanish government. There are few that would suggest Spain was a good colonial master. Statehooders and Commonwealth both praise the US for saving them from Spain in the Spanish-American war.

So if only one person stood up and called for freedom even at the possibilty of being jailed or hung, than they deserve to be honor as a hero.

  • Well I was supported by many people, but Spanish intellegence found out and started to crack down the groups, the Lares group wasn't support to start nor head the revolution but since others been caputred they moved the revolt up, the Dominican and Dutch goverment also stopped a shipment of arms that were sent and man that were sent to be part of the revolt.

  • yeay no one remembers the ponce massacre or el grito de jayuya for some reason lares seems to be more famous
