I'm having to learn this piece for voice, so I'm really glad this is as slow as it is--it's letting me really hear the pitches in rhythm since my piano skills (or lack thereof) don't let me do that at the same time, haha. Very lovely!
Very elegant interpretation. The tempo is slower than we expect it today, but it lends an air of majesty that is often lacking. Schwarzkopf had such a special voice - is always a joy to hear her. Thanks to LohengrinT for recommending this to me :))
Ultimate perfection of singing, coloratura from Heaven sung with the main body of her voice and not with canary placement and Divine musicianship that makes the roullades and fioritura sound like sung from Handel himself
