@nasence Canada RCMP changed the classification on this one in Canada because Zoraki also makes a rubber ball shooting version with the same frame. Thats's no-no in Canada.
@ironlungdtoker nvm :( :( my nabors a cop n said i cant have it cuz its illigale in canada ... big disapointment but id rather b safe then sorry .... at least he wasnst a dick , he just told n then took it away ..
@ironlungdtoker The Zoraki 914, 925 and R1 blank guns are not illegal in Canada but you will need a prohibited permit to own one now as they have been reclassified as prohibited weapons. Being prohibited does not make them illegal, owning one without a prohibited license is however illegal.
OMG finally somebody who legally sells blank replicas in canada!!! Will i be able to own one of these in BC without any fuzz trouble if it's just for fun in my back yard?? Really looking forward to buying some off your website so let me know, appreciate it and thank you! Also, lets just say a cop finds this on you would there be any consequences if it's not been tampered with and can only shoot blanks? thanks again
@loolsos The Zoraki 914 and R1 in this video are no longer available in Canada but I do still sell the EKOL blank guns, you can check them out on my website "ReplicaAirguns(dot)com" The blank guns I sell on my website are fully legal in Canada.
@Bluestarcinema The R1 is prohibited if you have the 2.5 inch barrel version like the one in this video. If you have the 4.5 or 6 inch barrel then it is Restricted according to Canadian gun laws.
so what happens now everyone who bought them is gunna get hastled?? how are the police gunna know who bought them are they gunna go and get purchase records from all stores that sell these?
@lukenadtisha I believe the police are mostly concerned with stopping the sales of these guns and not so much hunting down people who may or may not still have them, that is very time consuming and realistically most blank gun owners are not criminals worth chasing down! It is illegal to own the Zoraki R1 and 914 now without the right license or permit so keep that in mind, if you are caught with one you can be charged.
The Zoraki Models 914 and 925 blank firing pistols have been identified, based on criteria set out in the Criminal Code, as prohibited firearms. Businesses in possession of either firearm must register the firearm, providing they are licensed to do so, or surrender the firearm to law enforcement agencies. Individuals have no option but to surrender the firearm.
fucking ridiculous...
say goodbye to ALL blank fireing guns in canada...
@ninja6kid The problem with some of the Zoraki guns is that they have similar version that use the same frame and shoot rubber bullets. The rubber bullets travel over 500fps making them regulated firearms in Canada. Even though we can not get the rubber ball version in Canada, the frame is the same and that is the problem. This effects the R1, 914 and 925 to date but so far not the M906 and we will have to see about the 917??? EKOL blanks guns are also not effected .
This is indeed ridiculous. Sec.84 Criminal Code clearly states that the weapons "designed EXCLUSIVELY for signalling, for notyfing of distress etc.etc." are deemed NOT to be firearms. There is nothing about "frame" there. The Zoraki R1, 914 and 925 sold in Canada are designed exclusively for signalling. Their barrels and slides are completely different than those firing rubber bullets (hardened steel). This decision should be challanged in the court. But who is gonna do it?
@varinra In Canada the part of the gun that is licensed is the frame where the serial number is. That way if you order parts for a gun like a new slide or barrel you don't need to get permission or license the parts by them selves. The frame on the Zoraki guns that have been classified as prohibited according to this ruling are the same as the rubber ball shooting versions. As ridiculous as this all is, it is still justifiable according to our Canadian law.
@switchingtomac Thanks for the explanation! I didn't realize that. Than I guess the Zoraki made a mistake by numbering both frames with the same number. This way they lost the Canadian market. Although that may be just peanuts for them anyways. To the best of my knowledge Ekol-Voltran does not manufacture any rubber shooting versions of their blank/flare hand guns. Does anybody knows better?
@reubzodt Up close, these guns have a lot of energy, people have died from blank guns but it is not common, treat a blank gun like a real gun and you should be safe. They are not toys like a cap gun.
@switchingtomac I hear zoraki is better build quality than Ekol... how does the firat stack against the 914 in build quality and realism.... is the compact version j ust as built and is it good size? bigger htan the 914?
@xTheMeanBeanx Google it and stop asking stupid questions.
Oh, and because I am nice: NO, it does NOT shoot ANYTHING. Just goes "BLAM" and that's it. It's really loud, not like the video because the microphone of the camera supresses everything louder than voice.
@JackCarver10 my questions are not stupid. the gun looks fucking real soooo im just wondering if anything comes out if it.. and apparently there's a mettle rod in the barrel blocking any bullet if sumone puts a real bullet in there BUT it can be removed soooo why dont u make it into a real gun
@xTheMeanBeanx Well, they're made out of zinc die-cast and that stuff is freakin' weak. A real bullet has muuuch more pressure and the gun would explode even if the barrel was clear of any rods. Also you would not fit any 9mm cases in there because the BULLET is 9 mm wide, the case about 10 oder 10.5 mm (and that's too big). Also these barrels have predetermined breaking points to prevent removal of the METAL (not mettle) rods. If one still tries that, he hopefully gets killed by it.
@MrKmace Blank guns do not fir real bullets, will not fit in the magazine or chamber a real round. And if you could the gun is not designed for the pressure of a real bullet.
can the kimar 8mm ppk fit 9mm rounds because I checked the website and it says it can fit 9mm blanks but 5 instead of 6 is this true because i want to buy the ppk even though its a 8mm gun and plus its cheap I hope the build quality is strong beacuse I heard mixed reviews how it is strong and hows it is easy to break. I think its worth trying out
@craigpig123 In Canada we really on have front firing Blank/Flare guns. They have to be able to shoot flares in order to be legal so they need to be front firing. Kind of a bonus!
@CosmicDestroyer99 Canadian laws allow us to fire out of the front, it's actually the law because our guns need to have the front Flare adaptor sold with them to be legal.
@switchingtomac Ur lucky..Us American folk have the stupid ATFup our ass not just about guns but they have to have the top firing blank guns..I'm still trying to find someone to import one that is front firing..I mean I already own I real gun but I just love blank guns for some reason aswell as airsoft and air rifles
@evanzarsazproduction 9mm blank guns are about as loud as a regular 9mm gun. If you want something a bit quieter, look for blank guns that shoot .22 cal. crimped blanks. We have a Zoraki R1 that shoots .22 cal. crimped blanks over at the "Replica Airgun Store". The best part is it holds 9 rounds instead of 6 rounds and is much cheaper to shoot then a regular 8mm/9mm blank gun!
Switchingtomac, can you tell me if blank firing pistols are illegal to own without a license in Canada? Every website I visit gives a different answer! I'm thinking they are not considered firearms by the law?
@TPS996 Blanks guns in Canada can not be considered replicas, they can look similar but not exact, most legal blank guns imported into Canada come in as "flare guns" they are usually front firing (include flair adaptor) and don't closely resembling a real firearm. The problem with many blank guns is they are considered "replicas" which makes them prohibited. The two places that I have purchased my blank guns in Canada without a license are: "canadaammo)dot)com" and "vinzersports(dot)com"
@honeyNUTZcheerios I was away on holidays for a couple weeks, I always have plans for more videos! I just got a new Zoraki 925 Deluxe model with the 26 round mag. I will be doing a review on this blank gun shortly.
@Shazee083 It's really loud but I would not say dangerous unless you point it in the wrong direction (point away from you and anything else important)
@bfgguns Yes 9mm P.A.K. in the revolver and yes loud! I wish the blank ammo was cheaper, I would definitely shoot more and more often, That's why I only fired off 10 rounds in the Zoraki Mod.914 and not the full 14+1 it can actually take :)
So how loud are they? Equal to a real 9mm? They don't seem as loud as I expected in your video...anything you think you could compare the noise level to? Thanks for another cool vid!
@theairgunsource They are loud!! It's hard to tell because my DSLR video camera auto-level (compresses) the audio so the Mic won't distort. I was inside my pool-house and wearing protective headphones but I shot one off without the headphones and it's loud!! The little 8mm PPK replica is actually the loudest as it vents out the top and has very short barrel because of the top venting (like having no muffler). If I was outside you would have heard the echo.
@thegod098 Blank guns really don't have much recoil because they are not pushing against an actual bullet. It would be like pushing against a wall vs pushing into the air. The wall will make you move backwards, the air will do next to nothing. That said there is always an opposite and equal reaction and in the case of the Full-Auto Zoraki 914 shooting 8 rounds in a fraction of a second... you can see and feel some recoil. Not so much with Semi-Auto blank guns.
hahaha! they're like cap guns on steroids!!!

hey there, i have a question about ammo, is the difference between 6mm and 9mm rounds different or not?
CDA441 3 months ago
@CDA441 The reason one is called 6mm and one is called 9mm is to indicate the size difference. This measurement is the diameter of the ammunition.

That full auto looks like fun.

F*cking awesome. But the guns sound not that loud but I know without hearing protection you would be deaf for a few seconds. :D
You fired 9mmPAK with the Revolver right?
Full auto blank guns are nice but the ammo cost much so maybe semi automatics are better for the small wallet lool.

The video I've been dying to see... ;)
So how loud are they? Equal to a real 9mm? They don't seem as loud as I expected in your video...anything you think you could compare the noise level to? Thanks for another cool vid!

@theairgunsource
9mm blanks are not as loud as real 9mm rounds more like .22 or 6,35mm.

@switchingtomac Thanks, just curious:)

does it have a lot of recoil
thegod098 1 year ago
@thegod098 Blank guns really don't have much recoil because they are not pushing against an actual bullet. It would be like pushing against a wall vs pushing into the air. The wall will make you move backwards, the air will do next to nothing. That said there is always an opposite and equal reaction and in the case of the Full-Auto Zoraki 914 shooting 8 rounds in a fraction of a second... you can see and feel some recoil. Not so much with Semi-Auto blank guns.
