Thanks for sharing this. When I fist saw this back in the '80s I thought Teena Marie was a Prince protege. She was actually a protege of Prince's arch rival Rick James. I thought Teena's nose ring was very edgy at the time. You didn't see a lot of those in the '80s. I was also surprised she didn't have more hit songs. I think she got screwed by record labels and the music business.
