  • it's all about the oil...

  • Big Bang Theory references.... really guys?

  • Самолёт, блять, в кратере!

  • Its a shame our space program is being totally de funded. First the shuttle, now planetary exploration. We spend far more money on pizza, which causes obesity, and gambling, which destroys lives, than the space program.

  • самолёт в кратере видели на последних кадрах ?

  • This is fake.

  • @damnt3iktai I know the mission is real but this image is very fake. I could make this in mudbox with very little experience.

  • @CrimsonVanquisher "I know the mission is real but this image is very fake. " What do you mean by 'very fake'? What exactly are you suggesting is 'very fake', and why to you think this?

  • Dark side of the moon.??

  • 何かCGに見える

  • And where are the stars ??

  • would love to see it more "subtlety"

  • これぽっちかよ!

    提携してる宇宙人基地が映るからあまり公開できないんだろ!?

  • @partonace statements like this shows your IQ and states that you shouldnt be talked to because you have nothing intelligent to say.

  • @mypont so you show that you're not intelligent enough to cope with complex topics and therefore begin to bragg about some fictional characteristics of the person that's opposite to you. nice to see that people like you always show their intellectual inferiority this way.

  • i didnt know ellen worked for nasa......

  • wheres the rest of the vid? all that traveling on tax payers money for 58 whole seconds

  • @mypont money ain't anything. either you can prove what services and products stand behind money - or you stfu.

  • @partonace omg youre stupid please stop talking to me until you get some sense. MONEY makes this country, state, every other country operate. We need less stupidity and more thought put into your statements. AND i still want more video whenever you get through..

  • @mypont you hear people talking while reading typed comments via youtube? if i were you i'd let check this by a neurologist.

  • @mypont after all: they do a service to you and pay taxes, too. so: what are you doing for them?

  • @partonace i will only work for those groups that have been subdued, robbed and murdered in the past. countries like yours or like the one i am in will get nothing from

me. tesla made such an error, feynman and many others did - and enabled the criminal groups to subdue, rob and murder even ...

  • @partonace ...more. therefore: i suck out as much money as i can in order to educate myself, then i leave the group i am born in and collaborate with the ones who have been damaged in the past. the group that paid for me and did services will get nothing from me in return. they can be happy that i do not to them what they did to the ones they subdued, robbed and murdered before.

  • FAKE

  • bueno ya saben que no hay extraterrestes en la luna

  • IRON SKY!!

    YouTube it....

    DO IT!!!!

  • a natural satellite always showing the same face to the planet earth, the structure of the moon seems hollow because any impact on the surface create strong shock waves that prolongate for hours, and also the ellipse of the moon is unusual, why?

  • Voice Off: Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler

  • @Veronikaynadamas She's a neurobiologist, not a astrophysicist. :/

  • @Annapaz25 Yes I know, But I m just saying that the voice (and the way she speaks) souds similar

  • @Veronikaynadamas I guess my reply sounded a lot like something Sheldon would say... lol

  • can you see nazi base ?

  • Decepticons!! D:

  • Still no HD footage?? this the best camera you can afford to put on a muti billion dollar satellite? Is it me or they don't want us to see the high quality footage because of dodgy looking things on the surface...

  • NASA mission and video shot with the cell phone camera?

  • That is nothing new but it is nice to be getting images from the side of the moon we can't see.

More action of the shaded craters in the south polar region please.

  • на 0:12 корабль Конфедерации

  • Dark side of the moon should be DARK, no? Seems internal illumination and well placed lighting might be involved?

  • @kworld01 The "dark" side of the moon receives just as much sun light as the near side. It should really be referred to as the far side.

  • 2012 and nasa still shooting in black and white film? space junk!

  • In face of this amazing disclosure, there is only a word we can say to describe such a magnifficent event:

    Bazinga!:

  • FAKE FAKE ULTRA FAKE

  • @elsepufreerider Insteed virtual shout, why you do not say why you think this is fake?

  • @elsepufreerider Right.... like that footage won't be manipulated before the public sees it....

  • @elsepufreerider its really sad to see your conspiracionist world blow apart isnt it?

  • Ellen has a part-time job other than her show!? Why didn't she tell us.

  • I agree that money could have been spent to a better cause?

But we need to go back!

    What a hermaphroditic statement...

If I believed that the price of truth were givien to us,

    per- price of cost...

    For The Mission...

This is your blind spot,,,. It's time to invest in us...

    HERE; NOW!!!

God.. Would you allow love to wither on the vine..???

  • Image in color in 21-st century, pls.

  • The moon has pizza face.

  • 0:47 Can someone tell me what is that airplane-like thing in the creater on the bottom of the moon?

  • I call bottom, the south to study of course.

  • Well, they showed very lucid pictures of the earth's eastern hemisphere today..

    Well...

    Money to BuuURN..

Space what a place,, to throw taxpayer's money in..

  • @Jove3321 I agree that money could have been spent to a better cause. The problem is the moon has been the object to wonder at since time began. Is it made of cheese? Is there green men there? Can we put a home base on there? We took a picture of Earth from there. We need to go back!

  • interesting ;-)

  • i wish to finally see CCG images of the back side, in full resolution, or we have to wait another 50 years?

  • Awsome

  • And the resolution is worse than the 60s Apollo missions! Wow the public really are sheep...

  • @wildone106 if it was perfect hd you would be like "its too clear to be real! wow the public are sheep..."

  • I like 3D models like this!!

I want that graphics on Ps4!

  • @ganymedeIV4 lol... I don't think I would, but nevertheless, I wasn't implying anything fake on your uploads, just that I couldn't find the impact video you mentioned, so started searching for other people's uploads... And man, quite some forgery, there. RE-lol... I don't get the letters in the name remark... sorry... If literal, know that we spaniards use both mother and father second-name... but sure you didn't ment that. ;) I insist, I really want to see a moon impact!! link pz?

  • @Virakotxa oh yup : )

sent you the link im a message, check your inbox

  • @ganymedeIV4 Oops "Not like i've got more letters after my name, then you have in your whole name"

  • How many secrets are hidden there?

  • No giant robots/nazi bases/super top secret soviet research center? Awwwwwwwww

  • Comment removed

  • us and them

  • minnulcoustchians?

  • 0:47 is that an airplane in crater? XD

  • @matijas2608 nope, thats a human face. Also you can see aliens, robots, masons and FBI secret bases - they are hiding it from people. There should also be some reptiles.

  • Half of the moon is dark every night, thus indeed there is a dark side of the moon. These images are from the far side of our natural satellite that always faces away from us. So there is both a dark side, and a far side of the moon at all times.

  • español!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well done to NASA for editing out the two moo bases in the bottom right corner....

  • @ShropshireUFO No joke. I would have loved to see some space cows... ;)

  • А че там гигантский самолет делает в кратере на 47 сек, в самом низу?

  • @sasharaze1 transformers is hiding

  • Трансы хитро спрятались)

  • what if it is another celebrity elite whos working for projects.?

  • Swamp Gas

  • There is no dark side of the moon, the far side gets just as much light as the side we see.

  • 2 months till we get the images, this should give nasa enough time to smudge and delete anything that seems artificial

  • there if a plane on 0:47 !!!!

  • @MankarW Nope, its Chuck Norris'es glider ;)

  • А где трансформеры?

  • @RedOrion1 пальцы вниз... MEME!!

  • Interesting how they " neglect " the dark side of the moon and focus on the other side only...I mean c'mon, nobody is curious enough to see what's on the other side in the DARK ? I bet they did check that part out and maybe even found something up there but it's classified and they just focus on the " boring " part of the moon for the public.

  • @ProdByMistake there is no "dark side of the moon" - there's only the far and near side. the near side is what we see every day (and night) in the sky. the far side is what you see in this video.

  • Taxpayers money and you give them a measly 30 seconds? Typical eh NASA?

  • By the way GRAIL mission is not the first images to show the far side of the moon. Look up "far side of the moon". In 1959 the soviet space probe Luna 3 took a photograph of the far side, so look up "Luna 3 ". The first humans to directly observe the far side with their own eyes was the Apollo 8 crew in December 1968 The crew aboard were, Frank F. Borman, II; James A. Lovell, Jr.; William A. Anders.

  • Dear Maria zuber why is the moonKam video not better than my films ? The moonkam your say was over the surface so it should be better closer than my films? youtube.com/watch?v=nNrUTV55TX8&sns=em

  • The moon does rotate on it's axis. It's just that one rotation on it's axis takes takes about as long as one orbit around the earth every month. This is called a SYNCHRONOUS ROTATION. Look up moon on Wikipedia, in the article go down to the section "Relationship To Earth" and read subsection "orbit". Next go to the subsection "Appearance from Earth" read the first paragraph and look at the illustration under it. There's a youtube video "Synchronous Rotation of the Moon" that shows an animation.

  • @bigboidai I love you

  • anyone see apollo 18?

  • Damn she sounds so much like Ellen DeGeneres

  • @NB5BHVL OMG!! She does.

  • Oh my god. It is crawling with aliens!

  • dark side of the moon baby!!!

  • Cool! Good job NASA!

  • Why cut their funding?

  • Why cut their funding?

  • ***STAR SHAPED MARE *** Note the 5 pointed "star-shaped" dark mare basalt basin about halfway down on left side of moon - about 270 degrees. Temperatures are probably below - 240 F. Absolute zero - 459 F in space. Awesome !

  • Good Job, amazing

  • What kind of resolution will these videos be getting?

  • Can big asteroid orbit the moon?

  • Comment removed

  • The moon's orbit and rotation are the same as viewed from earth. The moon does rotate on it's axis.

  • Comment removed

  • @LFCsoldier Not if the moon is between the sun and earth, like in a lunar eclipse.

  • @TableWolfMusic It was a dumb question. I know. I'm deleting it.

  • @LFCsoldier It's not a dumb question. I'd keep it there, but it is your choice. We all had to think it through at some point. :)

  • @LFCsoldier .. No, in a word! There isn't a "dark side of the moon". Just a side that we can't see from the Earth, because the moon rotates once in it's orbit. When it orbits over a part of the Earth that's in daytime, the side we can't see is getting sunshine.

  • @StonesDunedin The moon doesn't rotate or spin on an axis.

  • @LFCsoldier Actually, it does. Google: why do we see only one side of the moon

  • @StonesDunedin Don't feed the trolls... They are just playing to be conspiranoid people. Well... Maybe some are really that slow, but I don't think so.

  • @Virakotxa .. okay, fine .. cheers

  • @Virakotxa Yea dude... some of these people are legitimately that stupid and actually believe these things.

I've had people tell me my astrophotography was completely fake before, despite sitting next to the same 800$ telescope and even offering to let them look through it at the same things i've taken photos of in person themselves.

  • Ahh been waiting for the first GRAIL footage. Beautiful! Look forward to the future findings! :)

  • Thank you so much for this! Back in the early 90's at KSC I bought a Globe from the KSC Visitor's Shop of all places and sold it at a silent auction for charity for buko bucks ... I am really fascinated by the back side of the Moon. And by the way, I can't find a globe of the Moon anywhere. Hopefully LRO and GRAIL are helping someone somewhere make a better one!

  • You can't explain that.

  • Cue Pink Floyd

  • can we see the landing points of the apollo missions on this videos ???

  • Very interesting!!!!

  • Education about the moon?

    Someone get Bill O'Reilly!

  • The narrator sounds like Ellen DeGeneres

  • Transformers, where are you?

  • She doesnt sound happy in her work at all!

  • AKA The dark side of the moon

  • Seems like the germand didnt't live on the moon after all..

  • It makes sense that the outside portion of the moon would take the majority of hits from asteroids and meteors given it's gravitationally locked to earth. If it spun, we would expect to see a more even distribution of craters since all sides would be equally vulnerable.

    Makes perfect sense.

  • @2eelShmeal Is the smoothness of the near side also a result of the constantly changing gravitational pull of the earth (as the moon orbits in an imperfect circle/elipse) stretching (then releasing) the moon's shape over and over again? Is that a factor? So to exaggerate this, one might imagine the "stretched" moon affected moreso on the near side so that it's like an egg shape, with the acute side of the egg pointing towards Earth? In reality it isnt that severe, but same principle.

  • @TableWolfMusic Good questioning. IDK that the near side is all that smooth. Maybe in comparison to the far side....

IDK that the earth has enough mass to influence the shape of the moon as it's a large satellite in comparison to the size of earth.

When a planet or satellite yanks on another, changing it's shape it's called tidal forces. The best example I can give you is the moon Io orbiting Jupiter. Jupiter's&it's moons pull on it so much it's the most volcanic body in the SS. Can't map it.

  • @2eelShmeal It does affect the shape a bit. Earth certainly puts the Moon under far more stress than the Moon does on the Earth's hard crust (a bit like pulling the ocean/sea). I figured that, like shaking a sand castle in a tray, eventually the craters would crumble a tiny little bit on the moon. I think the moon gets pulled (therefore distorted/stretched) more on the near side. Considering GRAIL maps gravitional fields, wouldn't this change in shape affect the rate of time passing?

  • @TableWolfMusic If that were true, I don't think time would change for us, only from the moon's perspective. To us on the surface, time would be the same.

As far as shaking and the sand castle analogy, I don't think that applies as gravity is a constant force that never lets go so I don't think there can be much shaking going on.

IDK that I believe the moon was molten and that the earth pulled the heavy metals toward one side, the earth side. (Like a ball with a weight in it heavy side's down

  • @2eelShmeal Yes that's what I meant, for the moon's perspective. So in the way manmade satellites orbiting Earth need a clock update regularly, for the change in time relative to the distance from the Earth's gravitational field, I guessed that the same would apply to the Moon's GRAIL satellites and that this too may be affected by the Moon's distorted gravitational fields.

As for the shaking thing, I meant more like just a change in features, like your unmappable example on moon IO.

  • @TableWolfMusic Very nice chatting. We're constantly learning and that's beautiful.

  • @2eelShmeal Of course I could be totally wrong about all of the above things I reasoned. :D

  • @2eelShmeal I've always thought the the same thing... If the side that's facing us (gettin "protected" by our planet) has all those impacts, the other side has to be even more filled with craters. Also... the ones we see... They had to be all near misses to our planet. Also find interesting that with all the shooting stars we see disintegrating into our atmosphere we don't have any footage of anything actually impacting the moon in our time. No voodoo, just saying...

  • @Virakotxa That would be cool footage... Very cool.

  • @Virakotxa I caught a asteroid strike not to long ago with my telescope while filming astrophotography videos.

Check my channel or PM me for a direct link, s@#t hits the moon all the time, it's just not anything significant.

I can also send you about three dozen other astrophotography videos from other users on the astronomy forums that have also caught asteroid impacts on the lunar surface.

  • @ganymedeIV4 Cool... Checking.

  • @ganymedeIV4 No luck... Please, do post the link. Since curiosity bit, I've been searching around, sad I only saw a couple of fakes out there. What's up with people and too much access to AfterEffects!? ...tsk. /DqrJ4cW6Z4c How lame...

  • is the other side made out of cheese?

  • The moons such a badass....

  • what about the south pole, nasa?

  • @MurkrazOfficial when you look at the end of the video, the south pole is right on the shadow-line, pretty much center-frame.

  • Isn't that a monolith at the lower right?
