  • nice car....BUT next time, how about lowering the music? i mean, we did come here, to hear the motor? if it was for tunes, well, i have my MP3 player or PC. hahaha

'Let the motor be the music for our ears'! then finish the vid off with some nice trance or rave.

  • 4;00 mins of a waste of time.

I was hoping for a dyno result. lol...

    ark owns in genesis market....

  • next time stop the music for the runs

  • lets be honest, we all made fun of hyundais. i did. but after seeing this car with a different hks body kit, i knew it was the car for me. its only $22000 for the basic 2l turbo, rear wheel drive, with 210 bhp. 0-60 takes 5.8 secs which is very good for this car. the mpg is very good for its engine size. its around 20mpg in city and 26 on highway. there is also a v6 which has 300bhp for a few grand more and that is even more spectacular, what else can i say

  • It's funny to see the Hyundai-haters are losing battles each time Hyundai gets better and better.

  • Its funny fow when it comes to 4cyl from the aisan market 2.0 liter seems to be the agreed size

  • I like Hyundai more than Honda now. Hyundai is finally coming along very well. This Genesis coupe is sick especially since it's RWD and the engine has way more torque compared to a Honda...

  • the evo X motor is a 4B11T nota 4b12 idiot

  • Whats the name of the Music?

  • you cant compare honda to this? but anyways this car has a mitsu motor haha nothing Hyundai under the hood sorry ;)

  • xeg6x you fail the motor of the genesis is a world engine made by chrysler, mitsubishi and hyundai at Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance(G.E.M.A) and they don't have the same engine

Mitsubishi Lancer EVO= (code name) 4B12 mivec engine

Hyundai Genesis= 2.0T(code name) theta cvvt engine

so if you don't know nothing about hyundai stay quiet

  • No, you fail. The engine that was developed along side the "4B11" was the Theta II engine. The 2.0T is the Theta I, not the Theta II.

Where did you get 4B12 from anyway? lol

  • Actually you fail. The 4B11, was developed by GEMA, yes. But the brains behind it all was Hyundai. The 4B11 uses a Theta Block and other Hyundai engine parts. And btw the code name for the GC 2.0T is not cvvt, its G4KC. Chrysler, Hyundai, Kia, and Mitsubishi just took the engine and built it to their needs.

  • @CHASE06051990 the thing is am trying to tell some youtube users is that Hyundai don't have mitsubishi engine anymore and yes is 4b11 no 4b12 I for got and the genesis don't have a mitsubih engine like xeg6x said

  • What are you talking about? I'm confused. Hyundai hasnt ran Mitsubishi engines since like the 90's. All the new Hyundai is powered by Hyundai or GEMA engnines. Mitsubishi doesnt even make engines anymore, espeically when GEMA doesnt even exist anymore. Hyundai gives the basics to Mitsubishi and Mitsubishi just adds stronger internals and turbo charged it.

  • @CHASE06051990 I know that's Im trying to say tell'em to the other users please and you know a lot your are mechanic or something in the industry?

I like hyundai since I have an 2002 accent

    2.0T comming soon

  • I just read your comments wrong. My bad bro. And no I'm not a mechanic, I just build cars with my family as a hobby.

  • theta and lambda engines of genesis are made by hyundai. I thought mitsu don't make engine anymore. hmm..

  • @xeg6x fail...

  • @xeg6x lmao this car has NOTHING to do with Hyundai, the 3.8l v6 is the same engine used in the KIA Sedona MINIVAN ..(kia and hyunai are a joined company kinda like vw and audi or ford and mercury) ..The last engine Hyundai/KIA used was in the first generation KIA Sedona (98-05)

  • @TommyV246 Did you just say that the motor has nothing to do with Hyundai because it's a motor used in a Kia even though Hyundai owns Kia?Umm...

  • Its not a Honda. Its a Hundai.

  • Yet you fail to notice this is a Hyundai and not a Honda?

  • @lordsavior100 is a huyndai .... dumbass

  • I don't know what the fuck you all are babbling about. Iron blocks can crack, too. And aluminum blocks have sleeves. They are fine for building big power, just look at Honda's engines.

  • iron blocks can crack but not as easy as aluminum. sleeves work but you have to pay extra. iron blocks can hold over 20 psi of boost like the evo 9. the only good thing about aluminum is they last longer, example there are more older civics than gst eclipse on the road today

  • You're missing the point. An aluminum block with sleeves and pinning can be just as crack-resistant as an iron block. Yeah, aluminum blocks cost more, because aluminum is more expensive, but they're much lighter.

Boost has NOTHING to do with cracking blocks. Blocks crack because of preignition at high power levels, or just high power levels if there is a casting flaw in the block. Boost is a meaningless number when it comes to power production.

  • As for the Civic vs Eclipse GS-T argument, the reason for that is that there was a hell of a lot more Civics sold than Eclipses of ANY model. Plus, with the frequency of crankwalked 4g63s (again, a production flaw), some of those cars got junked when the owner didn't feel like paying for a new block.

Aluminum blocks don't "last longer" than iron blocks... look at all the old Ford and Chevy engines still running. I had a Ford straight-6 with over 300k on it in my first vehicle.

  • ROFL boost is not what breaks an engine you idiot.

No the advantage to aluminum blocks isn't longevity, it's weight.

    Now shut up.

  • what kind of rims are those?

  • advan rims

  • module?

  • RS or RZ, not too sure though ... hard to tell ...

  • turn the fucking music off for a dyno video idiot, we don't watch these videos to be amazed by crappy techno

  • *agrees*

  • 4B11 motor belong to Huyndai manufacture since EvoX came out, that to cut down on budget for Mitsubishi,Aluminium Block and head is strong but is not as strong as Cast Iron Block to withstand anything over 1000Hp according to Japan AUTO RACING AND SOME OF TURBO MAGAZINE INDICATED,nothing can beat bulletproof 4G63.,same thing as old skyline inline6 & turbo supra, those are cast Iron block,if someone want to spend over 1 million dollars for Aluminium block than is fine, but normal consumer NO

  • All Japan and Korean Motor are verygood now a days with reliable, but not as strong as old forged Cast Iron Block as the old days....

  • of the millions of 4g series motors manufactured only 50-100(?) have been built to run those power numbers so it makes no sense for a manufacture to spend/waste millions makings motors that strong. This new motor will fullfil 99.99999999% of users requirement for the 4g63.

  • why don't you fly over to japan and tell talk to all this Japanese peoples who's been racing for years thats Aluminium block is better than Forge castiron block?see what they thinks of your opion?Like I said, there is a way that the Manufature cutting down of High price demand of 4g63b,thats why they relible to Korean to make it cheap labors ,than instead cont. to produced from Japan with 4g63B,This company born to cut cost on demand,Every Vehl. comeout on production is Mitsu is cutting cost!!

  • Mitsi do not care if you cant build a 1000hp 4b11 motor. They have no interest in you doing that. Alloy is a better race package, thats why Toyota never raced the JZ series and Nissan went to alloy v6 as soon as they covered the cost of the RB. Iron will always handle more power but alloy is better for handling.

  • If I was thinking like you ,probably my business went down the drain until now hahaha!!!! did you see Mitsu sell any good motor in the last 9yrs?including V6 eclipse??? or they buy all 4g63 when Evo8 come back?and where did you got the Idea thats 4G63 is not forge alloy anyway?.Try run an Engine for 25 or 30 miles with blown head gasket to home and see thats Aluminium can do for you,.Don't talk any more ,just try thats with 4b11 and see,you can't proved to me ,I been with Mitsu since 1984

  • We have all done time working for Mitsi (Adelaide, Aust. plant 2000 to 2006). I dont think you know much about big business as Mitsi are moving to the 4b11 to save costs and stay in business. No point debating, we all know an iron block 4cyl motor will take bigger numbers then an alloy motor but there are not enough people running those big numbers to justify Mitsi supporting them. There are great opportunites for the tuning scene to support this new motor, lets hope its 3/4 as good as the 4g63

  • Hahaha, you just a new comer,i been with this peoples since 1984 budy hahaha, how many vehicle thats you own in the past from Mitsu?another things Mitsu can't biult quality like its used to,and another things ,for your info.4g63 survived for 20 yrs and as you said"hopefully "YES "hopefully 4B11 will servived,HOPEFULLY hahaha!!!!for 20yrs,business or no business,4g63 motor was design by an a man from Renualt,he an engineer,Mitsu bought that motor for 3.5 million to patented and all other is Mitsu

  • if you could outlast my 4g63 for another 20 yrs than I belived you or 20yrs with 675k miles than I will buy 4B11,but if not ?than keep hoping ,hoping for miracle to happen,Mitsu alway cut budget and keep on cutting that why they will never larger than Honda,Toyota,Nissan or Mazda for that matter, but you're a new comer, and you can seat there and keep dreaming for new better Business, plus keep hoping the business stock go up better than Honda anh Toyota too hahahaha!!!!! your funny

  • numbers

  • yeah! what is the result!?!

  • YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS HKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • man I cannot wait to see what HKS has for this car!!!

  • why compare this car to one thats twice as expensive?

  • because i own one :P

  • Great you got money that doesnt prove anything

  • really nice looking car, saw a red one at the dealership the other day

good aggressive styling, and the seats looked very comfortable!

***what's the name of that song??

  • back to the car not the f -jap stuff this car is sick as fuck

  • Sorry to say but it seems like theres some racism going on here against cars, Whats up with that?....

  • Nice video. I would like to see the HP curve....

  • that is test in korea.

  • No it was in Japan.

  • @ConceptVBS no, its in china

  • That test is in Japan faggot. You Japanese do nothing but bash Koreans. Shut the fuck up, seriously its getting fucking annoying with you Japs. Dont even write back saying I'm Korean. If you Japs hate Koreans then dot watch Korean videos retards.

  • anyone know the song thats being played in the first part?

  • Theres pictures of this car completly done in super street magazine

  • which is better. the 4 cylinder turbo or the v6 model?

  • 4 cyl - 212 HP

    v6 - 306 HP

  • depends. theres a video of a turbo pushin like 360ish with a gt30 turbo with stock injectors. so with a lil over $1,200 you can make more power then the V6

  • thats wat im thinking, going with the turbo, to begin with u got 30mpg so lol next yeah throw 2 grand in it and its got 400 to 450 hp at the crank :)

  • It's very easy to get 260 HP from 4 cylinder with little tuning (It has been done already too), so that's my choice. But then, I'm very fond of i4

  • The Evo. 7-10 uses a Theta II motor which is built by Hyundai, but Mitsubishi did some tuning and turbocharged it so its called 4G63 or something like that now.

  • Nope ... it's called the 4B11, and it's the Evo X only, previous generations had the 4G63

BTW, The Theta II (AKA World Engine) is also turbocharged!

  • no it doesnt. im pretty sure like 5-9 use the 4g63..built my mitsu...10 is a new motor built by mitsu, that hyundai is using..

  • Hyundai doesnt use any Mitsubishi motors. Every motor Mitsubishi uses is either built by its partners or GEMA.

  • Oh yeah for example the Galant uses a GEMA engine, the eclipse uses a Lambda V6 which is built by Hyundai.

  • False the Lambda isn't used on any of the mitsubishi cars.

The Mitsu 3.8L doesn't have any relation to the Lambda. Just look at the bore x stroke it will clear your doubt they are completely different.

  • I urge you to check again. The 3.8L in the Eclispe and the 3.8L in the Azera are identical. They Make the same HP and torque, which also shows its basically the same motor. And BTW Mitsubishi doesnt make its own engine anymore, look it up.

  • The Mitsu 6G75 3.8l engine with 95mm x 90mm (bore xs troke) IS NOT THE SAME than the Hyundai Lambda engine 96mm x 87mm (bore x stroke). YOU SHOULD NEVER USE HP/TQ NUMBERS TO CONCLUDE IF ONE ENGINE IS THE SAME THAN THE OTHER.

The numbers say it all they are not even of the same internal dimensions.

    Nice Try ;)

  • Even the 4G63 used in the pervious Evo. 7-9 isnt Mitsubishi built. It uses a Theta II block from Hyundai. Mitsubishi just turbocharged it and tuned it to their specs for the Evo., I'm dead serious go look it up if you think I'm full of shit.

  • Since the 80's the 4G63 was only made by Mitsubishi. I really don't know where you are learning all this non sense stuff. The EVO has always used 4G63 mitsu made engine. The current generation EVO use the World Engine that was made between three companies Hyundai-Chrysler-Mitsu. This is were the Theta, 4B11, 4B12 engines born.

Please erase everything about cars in your mind and start from zero. For your own sake.

  • First of all, if your going to disrespect me then this conversation is over. Dont fucking treat me like I'm dumb. LOOK IT UP! FOR "YOUR" own sake! I never said the 4G63 was a Hyundai engine, I said the 4G63 used a Hyundai Theta II engine block. Theta is a Hyundai development not GEMA. Lambda, Theta, Alpha, Delta, and the Tau are ALL Hyundai's. Mitsubishi doesnt build its own engines anymore even in Japan. Your wrong the 4G63 was not even thought of in the 80's. I urge you to study more.

  • Comment removed

  • Actually the 4g63 was introduced in 1987. Also the Theta engine is all aluminum and I don't of ANY 4g63 that came with an aluminum block. The first Theta debuted in the 4th gen Sonata in 2004.

  • as long as I know, the world engine is based on two or three hyundai engines. I am for sure that 4b11 in the evo x is modified version of hyundai theta engine.

  • Exactly. That faggot "Marbind" was trying to say different. He tried to make me look like a dumbass, but the only dumbass here is him. LOL. Dont you hate it when people talk shit, when they clearly havent done their research?

  • Hey Hey you guys!!!!!!! come down,Chryler /Mitsu/Hyudai still bought those motors was from Renault design for 3 million dollars back in 1986,when 1 french man was an engineer for Renault and he design that motor for weekend rally, now Mitsu bought it for 3.5 million at that time. But anyway still since all the years I own Mitsu since 1984 Cordia/Tredia?Eclipse -T or my Evo8,I never see thats Lamda was involved with Mitsu emission fuel system,I don't know what they used in Huyndai, but not Mitsu

  • fucingpwnz0rz : you sure don't know squat about DSM!!!

The Evo X is unsing it's own version of the World Engine ... the World Engine is a join venture including Hyundai/Chrysler /Mitsu.

The World Engine is based of Hyundai's Theta, so in the end, Mitsu is using Hyundai's engine design for the Evo X.

  • ignorance is bliss eh?

  • yea seriously right? :T

  • I think id still like to make a purchase for this new Genesis. But ive been looking at the Suzuki Swift Sport too. Man Cant make up my mind. I wonder how safe these cars are though? Any crash test ratings?

  • I just talked to a dude from Turbonetics in Hollywood, they have both test cars in. Since there designing new turbos for them, and keeping them smog legal. He states, " The internals are pretty simular but slightly different in specifications. Still a stong motor but the evo X still carries more potenial for extreme tuning." So with there turbo he said so far they can push the Genisis pretty good, but not what people are thinking comparing to an evo X. But I think we all know thats a given.

  • usless without being able to see the output readings the car produced.

  • Just be glad that they even have a video.

  • Is it true the motor is simular to the Evo? 4G

  • from what i hear the block is the same, now as far as the head and turbo i couldnt begin to say, but the block should be the same

  • same 4b11

  • yes, the block is a 4b11, the internals are said to be slightly different and the turbo smaller. it is not 100 % true but it is rumored that the motor in the genesis will be identical to the motor is the ralliart evo x's.

  • wonder if they took this to the wangan.. this car holds up to 29psi on stock internals...

  • Hyundai did a great job on this car! HKS is going to have some great parts out for it too!

  • ohhhh white one my favorite !!!

that's what im gonn take home, once that is out of street

  • sick lookin set up!
