@MrJodete23 Probably want some more ram, might run, but could get laggy during large sieges and naval battles. You would also want to run it on high graphics, which means you need power. The better the graphics the more awsome this game gets.

Hey when i play the Empire demo it laggs like shit... even in the intro like when they say "sega" it laggs crazily much... I don't know why, my comp can run Rome and Medieval smoothly... So annoying. Gameplay laggs even more so im a little confused...

PlaystationNation2k9 is right about Napoleon Total War, it's worth waiting for that. I hav Vista and it requires minimum 3 gb RAM, XP requires minimum 2 gb but that's all the specs i know :S hope that helps a little

Empire total War is a great game, and it took me almost 6 months to fully complete the games different missions. Well worth it, and when Napoleon Total War comes out i will get the game.

either your RAM is fine

but as one of the most important factors of gaming, your graphics card is somewhat slow and I think you can only play it at low/medium settings...

Yes. If you are in the middle of a battle, if you press the "insert" key you can see them firing from below deck.

Oddly, you can't do that in replay. :\

They have pre-assigned names that correlate to the country they're from. For instance, in campaign, I'm playing as the Dutch, so I can't understand any of my ship's names. If I were to play as the British they would Have names like, "The Morning Star". Kinda off topic, but the Spanish ships have random names. One translates to English as, "The Revenge of Peter" XD

the only thing decent about naval battles in this game are the ship models. anything else appears to be from a land that reality forgot.

what you you mean the naval battles are bad. They move along side and fire. that seems to be exactly how they faught in the 18th century.

I wasn't critizising the tactics used, but the game mechanics. I realise ETW is no ship simulation, but they could really improve the naval aspect. ATM vessels behave more like motorboats, not like sailing ships. Damage calculation also seems to be off.

actually, some ships of that era could handle cannon fire better than shown in any game. if a ship was sunk after being shot once by a double-decker, then they wouldn't have built heavier ships with more guns, they would have built smaller, faster, and more maneuverable ships to avoid cannon fire. Your probably thinking of when ships where first using guns like that and they probably weren't designed to handle that kind of fire-power. but by the 18th century, its been out for awhile, so ya.

when i start i put my ships in this formation:

{} and the ships on the left go forward this way you will pretty much always flank the enemy and get an early advantage..also you should get your admirals ship a 1 rate and chainshot the masts..then go to their sterns and easy finish them off

My favorite tactic (coming from a reenactor though) is to use chain-shot on the masts etc. Then really like rats in a barrel. Few rounds of canister board 'em, kill 'em and you've got a prize also. Never show your stern to a broadside if you can help it..head on into fire is fine but never the hind quarters lol. Good video, great soundtrack ;-) 5*'s.

Haha yeah but when you have two free-thinking commanders who can do whatever they like tactics from paper dont work so well. I usually try to breach a line, think like Nelson..especially online you can use two broadsides one ship get's in the ass the other in the face. Thing is you have to turn quick or yours will be next lol. No I stick by it, great video :D i enjoy it.

I'm just not 100% sure how it works..if you can take a ship a prize etc. A little secret..if you have a ship like HMS Victory or something..a big ship of the line. Always take it head on or up the rear with chain shot because a few broadsides from one and your a gonner. If you disable it then it's easy pickngs don't even have to board. I'll keep an eye on your channel for more great videos ;-) ever need a Lt of HMS Endeavour let me know hehe.
