  • what kind of train is that.?? i didnt even know we had trains like that in cicago.

  • My favorite Flxbles are the 6000 series (1995 models). I have driven a MAN Americana and they are cool to drive. I also enjoyed the MAN Artics from Seattle. They did not last long here in Chicago. Strange enough, the NABIs did not last that long either in Chicago.

  • cta bus leave the memories alone

  • I don't know about retired, but the buses on the 53A route on Pulaski are older then dirt, and in the Winter they break down...

  • Come to the northwest side and the routs that operate out of Forest Glen garage still run Flxibles. Also there are no plans to soon retire the 2600 series El cars.

  • The sad thing is the 2200 series El Cars already had plans to retire soon which are my favorite CTA rail's fleet, but I doubt it next year since CTA still having stupid budget issues for the last years.

  • Great Video, I will miss the Flxibles, I live in South Bend, IN we used to have some 87s & 91s.

  • Yeah I remember those. But Kalamazoo, MI Metro Transit still got their 94s Flxibles, but not sure when they are retiring them, but I really miss their GMC RTSes.

  • Actually Kalamazoo has one 1993 Metro & 2 1995s all are 35ft long. They are part of their contigency fleet. They plan to keep them till at least next year unless one of them needs a major repair, then they will be junked. This is direct from the maintenance supervisor of Metro Transit. Also Muncie, Lafayette still have a few Metros left. Along with Gary possibly one or two.
