  • i gotta tell you steve, its so great to jump on here and admire andy's car even though he's not with us. THANK YOU.

  • the car is clean no doubt but i dont know how can you make these cars look good i mean u seen one you seen them all lol

  • Well, i'm not a Chevy guy, I think that most Chevy muscle cars look like "bricks". even more so when you look at the clean lines & good looks of PMD cars of the same years.

With that being said "you drive a F150" what part of a 1/2 ton pickup looks better then this car?

    O_o

  • well to be honest with you i wasnt comparing my truck to this car lol there just to different vehicles. i have my opinion just like everyone else. i think that this body style on monte carlo is kind of un attractive but dont get me wrong i see some that i just fall for. unlike you im not a one brand kind of guy im into all kinds of cars/trucks but i can relate to the pontiac becuase i love the 70-73 trans-am's. dont let my truck fool you i also got a 71' lemans t37 that i think is better looking

  • PT1

I admire all types of cars and trucks.

The front of the Monte doesn't do much for me, the rear half of the car does offer "muscle" like appearance. Would I buy one? Prob not, would I invest in it as a racer No Way.

I grew up around PMD & Dodge, In the 80s as a kid I watched & learned as my father tuned the tri power on our 389 66 Bon Conv. However when we got a 74 T/A 6.6 my PMD faith was forged.

We also owned a Scout, F150 (3 on the tree), AMC Gremlin, Harleys & a Honda 750.

  • PT2

My first car was a 72 LeMans. At one time I owned a very rare 1998 LX Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 360ci engine.

My other rides I dont post on the net.

Being true to PMD is no different then say being a Steelers Fan. I feel that PMD designed a better engine then the SBC & had PMD had a truck line things may have played out different.

Hold on to the T37, they are mighty rare!

  • cool lol my first cat was a 89' rs camaro i bought for $25 it was a very nice car then i got a 87' trans am gta but soon my dad told me to get rid of them cause i needed a truck. so i went an bought a 80' 2wd shortbed dodge d150 with a 440 and 727 out of a 70' dodge charger ever since then i fell for modding trucks. i know about the monte thing my grand ma has a 71' monte ss that i love to drive but hate to look at lol

  • The funny thing about the Monte is that it's no bigger then other extended A body GM cars but for some reason it looks "huge", in some ways it reminds me of a Ford LTD, I even have a hard time picturing younger guys driving it, it seems like a 40s mans family car.

When they are quick it seems strange, almost a sleeper car.

This car really twists the frame on launch, it runs sometimes without the hood & you can see everything "tweek".

Sounds like a nice truck, what about your F150?

  • well i love my truck i dont race to much with it thow only with other trucks. its weird people see you drive a ford and they think its the slowest truck on the road then when they see i have 22in rims they think there going to kill me but usually my truck stays up with just about anything american even older hemi's . i just got a 07' gt mustang that im starting to work so i leaving the truck alone for awhile

  • This car is so damn redneck. IMPORTS DO NOT NEED RAW REDNECK POWER TO BEAT MUSCLE CARS. Muscle cars are all about putting the largest engine in a car and expecting it to go fast even though they top out in the 120's to 130's because of push rods. The Japanese are 10x better at making engines than american.

  • Hedge6504's channel is devoted to Sponge Bob, it has all the ear marks of being one of many user names she uses.

How is a 1971 Monte Carlo attached to cowboy hats, the deep south or sun burns?

Jap engines suck for racing, just ask a import owner how races and gets her ass handed to her by a 30 plus year old car.

    Wow your Jealous!

Go play with your cartoons jackass!

  • lmfao!

  • Making engines yea, but not making power. Leave the power making to good old American muscle!

  • ..............imports suck, stupid asian shit sowin machine car wana bs

  • imports suck big donkey dick. american muscle power all the way!!!!!!!!!!

  • imports suck, go muscle!

  • Right on!

    Fuck imports!

  • srry that was my cousin, i had this video marked because im working on making my own monte carlo video, and you have really good transition work, nice video

  • No problem at all.

The program I used was Pinical shortly after I bought it my PC that had a warranty via Best Buy craped out, since it was a laptop & Best Buy gave me credit for what I payed for it for another PC I bought another laptop however it's Vista loaded and low and behold my $230 Pinical dont run on it. I have had some projects running & not the time or money to build on my Therma Take Super case XP Pro system. Thanks it was fun, but rendering took 2 hours! I removed the comments.

  • mine probably wont be that good but hey ill try........... one question.... what would you do about my car, you say you want to knock out all small blocks, but i have a 400 small block

  • to Feathercrafter who cares domestic beats import anyday chevy mopar they are all good my fav is the 68 gtx

    nice monte

  • i really liked the video but was a little offended at the end whe it said reall racers no car under 400 cubes so my uncle who is a street racing legend that beat everybody back in the day with a chevy vega with a 350 in it or his 350 corvette or my dad who had a 390 cougar or 350 vette my dad is also making a name for himself again with a 281 mustang and i am climbing up as well with a 305 camaro are you saying we are not real racers

  • I'm happy that the vid. I created the car club "The400AndOver" for people with over 400ci because it cut out all the small block Chevy and Fords and the like. It made for a "unique" car club. When we are recognize people know that not one of our group have under 400ci. I dont think its any different then any other group that does say mustangs, and no it does not mean that anyone under 400ci are not real racers, it only means that we are loaded 400ci and more.

  • sorry man my bad i just misunderstood i really like the monte in the vid though

  • NP, The truth is we can make acceptations for people who have under 400ci but they must stroke or get at least 400ci within a time period, however we only used it once so far. The engine was being built while the guy had 355 in the car. We kinda stay under the radar, so not to piss off the Erie Police. As one cop put it "I dont care if you do it on East 12th as long as you dont fucking do it over here (state ST)".

  • We dont post pics and vids cuz they can be used in court if something went wrong, we dont get "stupid" and we go to the strip as much as we can, one in a while we light it up, but its more of an 1/8 mile thing, we dont blow down the road at top speed. We all must have 6mile radios & safety gear, we even use night vision! Nobody runs without seatbelts & expanded first aid group, tow truck numbers, and lookouts. I will be erasing some of these comments.

  • love the sound of the m22..i love that sound so much

    get rid of the music!

  • That crusher and Jackson drive at any given speed and RPM drown out everything in the car. Even at 30mph. It's different because gears are louder then the exhaust, as with most other cars the exhaust is of prime sound. Thanks for watching!

  • that car rocks, not too sure bout the color though, but thats just me, never really liked yellow

    almost bought a 1970

  • Well yellow is not my fav as well, but this car seems to put off light under street lights! The car is sic quick for its size so quick that its getting stress cracks under the 1/4 windows, Roll bar time! The Crusher sounds great and it hooks up so good that it over powers the clutch, it needs a good centerforce for sure! We put the stick in the car, it was an Auto, most people think its a boat but its fast, stroker SBC Alum Heads Steel crank, he used to take the hood off on the street to race.

  • ya the monte carlos were always real quick, sadly i couldnt purchase the one i wanted cus i had to pay for college, but i later found an awesome deal on a 72 gs with a chevy 350, so i know what u mean about drivin a boat

  • lol on the boat, Buick made some dam good cars, and you dont see many around, hell my GTO is a rare site try and find a Olds or a Buick aroudn the same years! I think they should have kept Olds alive at GM, i'm sure Buicks next. What happend to your GS?

  • still have it, things amazing for what i paid for it, runs and drives, carb sometimes gives ya crap, its just SOOO massive, i went to a friends party and ended up making 3 people move cus i could turn it out of the drive way, lol, but i dont have a lot of money to put into it, originally it was gonna be a stunt car for a movie and totaled but when i picked it up it was just too cool and in too good condition to wreck

  • Do you know what movie it was going to be in? I know I seen the GTO from "Punisher" on Ebay, it was dogshit beat up but it had all the stunt car stuff in it, hell even with it banged up it still would have been cool! I also seen thee yellow Camaro on Ebay from Transformers with all the stunt stuff in it.

  • no i was gonna use it as a stunt car, im an indie film maker, its now been bumped up to hero car status, although i did try to get my hands on one of the original general lee's, but as u can tell the bidding kinda went outta control

  • Thats cool you do film! Do you have many films? getting an original Lee would have been crazy, what is more crazy is how many of those Dodge they destroyed as well the making of Smokey and the Bandit killed many limited number "T" top T/As then again the movies helped sell the car and make it a legend.

  • ya right now i might be able to trade my trans am to a guy for a 70 charger, which ive always wanted, there just awesome

the problem is cars now a days are either really nice and rediciously expensive, or affordable and need heavy restoration

  • The 70 Charger sounds fun, I think Dodge made a dam good block putting the crank up in the block rather then attached at the bottom. Your correct about prices, in 93 I graduated from HS and you could find stuff kinda easy, 68-74 chevys a boat load of 67-74 Pontiac's A,F,B and even G bodies now its tuff to find anything "saveable" by bud just went to look at a 68GTO project and yea it was rusted with a powder coated frame ALL APART! I did my car from frame up, if you have the space I say do it.

  • ya i lucked out with the buick, 1,000 bucks on ebay, runnning and drivable, i havent done a thing to it yet, interior is fallin apart, the only rust i have is in the trunk, i set the choke manually and give it 20 minutes warn up time, and the thing runs perfect, its probly the most reliable car ive ever owned which is cool for the price i paid for it

  • Yea they really built cars back then, my first was a 72 LeMans LX I got in 93, 350 2bbl TH350, it ran like a raped ape for about a block, that 2bbl really took off. I had to replace the starter thats all, it ran great till I parted it out to put my 72 GTO basket case together. I bet your rust is on the right side of the trunk? The window corner on the right always rusts and leaks on A bodys and the drive side rusts from under cuz that the drive wheel on an open diff. Dam good cars tho!

  • ya, now if i wash any of my cars i use towels to soak up the water in the trunks, but i love that car, it rocks, old cars are the best, their not made to last any more, except maybe toyotas those things never die

  • I have seen where guys just drill a hole in the area it leaks and then just spray Rustoleum on it rather then pull the back window and fix the leak. I put my back window in, got the install kit, but it would not seal! I'm going to light weight race windows so I will fix it then. I think taking care of a car from the start will make it last, take Jeeps they just keep going even after getting the snot beat out of them! I love the way an older car door shuts, nothing like that today, w

  • ya, nothing beats old cars

  • What are your plans for the Buick?

  • im turning it into a hero car right now, sonce theres no room in the garage to do a full nut and bolt rastoration, new paint job, gloss black, and some centerline wheels for now to give it the racing stance

  • Dude this may come as a shock to you and I know I'm replying to an old topic but I agree with you 100% on this one! It seems as though you and I do think alike on quite a few things. Not everything,(like that red bastard Lemans but thats okay!) Peace dude, I know where your heart is.

  • This is my bud Andys 1971 Monte and his son who now owns the car, I did most filming 3:10 is his son fliming and learned quickly that I had to stuff the camera between the dash and the glass as that rock crusher backed small block stroker would push you any way the gas peddle went. He and I would argue over Chevy vs PMD history until I got my engines running, then PMD history became more "believable" for him lol . You just dont expect a big car like this to move so fast, a true street sweeper!

  • Awesome car. I had one with a big block though it was stockish with a 4 speed. When I watched the vid I knew there was an M-22 in there. My 69 Chevelle had one also. And to think I'm really a Mopar guy!

  • When you hear the gear wine it's either a Rock Crusher or a UPS truck, my copy of "Two Lane Black Top" you hear theV gate shifter rattle with the wine of the gears and its the same as the Monte with his Vgate & crusher! Mopar engines are race engines, great engines, my uncle is a big Mopar guy, I rem as a kid sitting in the back of his Road runner (non hemi) with Box Tops Letter playing, as well my grandma drove a 383 Charger, she used to talk about how people wanted to race her all the time.

  • So how much was the CAM2 fuel you were filling up with in 2001? Around where I am they want just about 8 a gallon for anything over 94 octane, leaded or unleaded.

The car is gorgeous, btw. Makes me want to finish up my project car for the warm weather (its a vert).

  • It was just above $3 and that was in PA. It was funny then but now it's upseting! Makes you start to think about HI-PO Electric motors. The guy in the vid was my best friend, he however died last year at only 45 from cancer. His son now has the car.

  • Wow I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm in PA and actually get onto your side of the state about once a month. Would have been nice to meet the man who made such a great car.

    Sorry for your loss.

  • oh and by "its a vert" i didnt mean a monte vert, just a convertible project car. Kinda want to relive my high school days through it :)

  • PT1:thanks, he was a great guy he served in CAP and the Air Force as a SGT. We were good frineds he even named his 2nd son after me. His other oldest son now has the car and he takes great care of it and has plans for it as well. He's a great kid, good head on his shoulders.

  • PT2: Andy and I worked on each others cars he knew my car as much as I knew his, and doing anything with cars anymore don't feel right at all, I know Andy would not have wanted it like that, I hope that working with his son with the cars erases the apprehension I feel about the hobby now.

  • PT3: You know some how I knew you were talking about a conv. tell be about your car project, I would love to hear about it. I have wanted to do a conv. for a while, I had a chance on a $200 71 LeMans conv. but I didnt have a place to put it.

  • Ok i'll shoot you a message about a few things I got goin on.

  • ok check your message box on here

  • yee-haw...

  • It we were in the south maybe but this was in Erie PA thats as far north you can get in PA, so it's more like "Fuck Yeah!"

  • KOCHO TOTALLY WANTS ONE

  • What?

  • "real street racers" ??? It would of been nice to see....

If your going to take the time to edit a movie and post it hear and then call it "real street racers" there otta be some racing or possably speeding and some WOT runs.

Nice MC but you should show what that car is really capeable of.

  • So sorry, if you happen to see this again drink some drain-O so you will not have to suffer any longer. Have A Nice Day:)

  • hahaha ive teased andy for years about stealing your goat!
