  • That was awesome!

  • When the the Book Of Awesome is written The Sweet will be on Page One.

  • and what we get on the radio is called music....got me fucked!

  • Responder a este vídeo... Sweet was about fun, not into this thing of taking themselves too serious, this movie defietely is not based on sweet in any way.is on the bands that used minor harmonies, trying to pass a very macho image.Sweet Passed the bisseual,or not well clear sexuality..I may be wrong...but is about Manowar Lol Saxon,Accept dont you think?

  • 'Shuddup' is something one might say to a friend, it's not the same as 'shut up'. Anyway, your point is taken - Sweet is not what the movie was parodying, specifically, but then that movie was not about one band. Case in point - there were a lot of bands who saw that movie and thought, "hey - that's us!".

  • @Zebonka I agree, its about a concept ,a posture,attitude...popular for sometime used by some bands, but got in decadence, became ridiculous after a while ...and thats exactely what the movie is about.using a genericalband to represent all bands that passed trought this dacay process..in my humble opinion

  • Yep, that's pretty much it! I didn't mean for the Spinal Tap reference to be an insult either way. Like I said, this is a cool song!

  • SWEET...The greatest and one of my fav songs.

  • Sweet was Giants in the 70s.

There was Slade,T.Rex,Purple,Cooper.......but only one SWEET!

  • @Zebonka Tap was a compilation of many bands yes it was a fun flick but not to be taken at face value.sweet were a great glam band that became a prog band with pop hits they have their own spot in rock and roll like T Rex or Slade and Mott the Hoople

  • @Zebonka Fucking idiot! This is PROPER music...and WAY ahead of Spinal Tap

  • Fuck off, will you? This is a great song. Having said that, it's exactly the kind of pap that Spinal Tap were making fun of.

  • Top freaking band!!

  • HOLY SHIT! Live music in a studio. Brittney and the rest of you, look listen and learn.

  • Until 2:26 there's only sound in the left channel, maybe you can fix it? (without deleting the comments etc) The clip certainly deserves it

  • Classic tune! love pretty much all sweet tunes....... but this has great appeal for trashing stuff :)

  • Bloody hell, Mick Tucker was a mighty fine drummer wasn't he? Blistering performance from all of them.

  • This was the first record I ever bought. I purchased it with my 11th birthday money in January 1974, I think it cost me 30p. I'm quite proud of this fact...although it's somewhat tarnished by the confession that I also purchased "The Wombling Song" by The Wombles on the same day....

  • A great frontman Brian Connolly, I was there in the glam rock days and remember it well.

  • always missing brian gorgeous sexy guy luv forever x x

  • so underated

  • I can't ever remember seeing them without makeup, thank you so much poster.

  • The GLAMROCK-HEROS of The 70ties.....EVER!!!

    End and Out!!!!

  • DAMN, they are kicking ass!!!!!!

  • The greatest band of 70`s!!!!

  • miss you Brian

died way too soon booze and drugs and awful combination!!

  • miss you Brian

  • The Sweet. Tonight (6/18). Sioux City, IA. Followed by Foghat.

Yes, I believe I will be there.

  • @MyMagyarorszay I think (kinder mok show) my be right

  • what means teenage rampage in german?

  • @MyMagyarorszag ramstien

  • this is totally live and what a great job boys you had it all man. to bad they imploded

  • O my god this is so cool.I love this song and this vid is a gem.I saw them in 1975,I was 14 this band was the best of glam and then as a prog band they rocked harder.

  • Why didn't TOTP producers let bands play live like this, it would have been a much better programme!

  • @ucammark that's what i would like to know too, so what if they miss a note? so what?? most of us were too f**ked up to notice anyway! and i know a couple of bands that screwed up in the studio, and they went ahead and left it on the album. for example mamas and the papas, "i saw her again" he accidentally starts to sing, "i saw her--- and stops, but they left it in the song. there's another band but i can't remember right now, but what is the big deal? it's all good, right!!?

  • I thought for playing live in a tv studio that sound was brilliant - the harmonies excellent - musicianship great - when you think there's only two instruments playing, the harmonies make up for it, they're like another instrument. Top band without doubt

  • Incredible talent overcoming incredibly bad sound/audio. Not easy to do.

  • wow i was 15 when this came out we had a riot at school to it and made the national papers lol the daily mail called us a bunch of urban yokels pmsl

  • So nice. I`m danish and I haven´t seen The Sweet on telly in my teenage years back in the late 70´ties. This is fantastic.

Funny to write in english again.

  • @SirJanChristensen Ha ha. I'm American and NEVER got to see footage of Sweet until Youtube.

"We want Sweet! We want Sweet!"

  • Imagine the sensation of teenage constipation.

  • yes Steve Priest is beautiful~

  • @iminthe70stang

    no doubt

  • Nowwwwwwwwwww!

  • OMG.. how cute is Steve Priest!! Sweet... <3

  • whoah? never seen this one before

  • Seems to be a real live recording.

Awesome sound, heavier than the sissy sound on their records.

    This is energy.

  • Brian Connelly -- David Bowie --Divine __God -dificult to know who is number one

  • awesome. but what's with the sound? if you could fix it that would be great.

  • great music

  • Who was gay? I thought they all were...

    Great song though!

  • Awesome performance.

  • andy scott gary glitter and alvin stardust were all shagging each other in the70s, and engelbert humperdink was involved too. dirty perverted cunts

  • @rus524 Sorry wrongly informed. With exception to Gary Glitter all others were straight Heteros. l met them in the late 60's and the early too late 70's. Sorry mate great bunch. no blow jobs were given at the interviews

  • shame he was gay , wat a waste

  • @supernog1 lol

  • lol the drummer sounds better when they don't make em use tape he's so much better like he's got that bonzo sound he's more forceful

  • Just awesome to see this...thank you!

  • Oh to be young again.... Thank You for sharing this with us.

  • I think you can tell from this video the guys really know they have made the big time and didnt they just fantastic.

  • DEFINATELY THE VERY BEST HARD ROCKING GLAM GROUP ANYTIME !!!

THEY WERE THE PERFECT BALANCE BETWEEN HIGHLY ENERGETIC POWER CHORDS AND ANTHEMIC MELODIC VOCALS SIMPLY INCREDIBLY EFFICIENT

    THE GLAMGODZ NO LESS ...

  • These guys are fucking rock gods - love the finale when he breaks the mic stand over his knee. RIP Brian you are sadly missed.

  • recognise your age- one of the great lines

  • These guys were great musicians, vocally amazing, wrote some great songs. I saw Mick Tucker, Steve Priest touring as the Sweet many years ago. Still great, Mick Tucker was an amazing drummer/vocalist. They played the Cubby Bear in Chgo back in the 90s.

  • The shame is they were invited to back The Who at Charlton in the summer of 1974, and on this sort of form, would've given Pete and co a run for their money. Why didn't Brian keep his fists to himself during that altercation? Things could've been so different........

Instead Queen came along, and pretty much ripped off everything Sweet did. Frustrating.

  • they suck cheap posers tryin to be like NEW YORK DOLLS

  • @ayakush How? Sweet started first.

  • @TheWho58 Really. The Dolls sucked and still do.

  • @ToddSweeneyOnce I don't really care about the new York dolls, I like sweet better there song are catchy and kick ass.

  • @TheWho58 That's for sure.

  • If you watch the Crue in the early days they are, well, this.

  • Now I see where the Darkness got their influence This is awesome!

  • Sweet - Glam Rock best style. - Pity that Brian and Mick are no longer with us.

  • yeah.

  • Always it's great to see them LIVE! Thanks for the post. notice Steve (rarely in those days) without any makeup this time.

  • This is live isn't it? Fantastic! Connolly was such a good looking man pre the drink problems. Such a shame, they should have put that guy in movies.

  • awesome.

  • Who does the falsetto? It was always a feature of their songs.

  • @rotcafarg steve priest - bassist

  • @rotcafarg steve priest - bassist

  • @rotcafarg Mick Tucker, R.I.P. did the falsetto. Great voice, great drumming!

  • mick tucker was way ahead of anything at that time him and cozy powell and maybe don powell were all awesome drummers..........love sweet and what they gave to music................rock band for sure

  • Great band,,,,,,man how time passes by

  • the best¡¡

  • this song is boss :)

  • out of all the videos on youtube., i love this one the most. just the look of the band here, the singing and brian is awesome. i love to watch steve's eyes when he sings. i would love toturn back time and relive this decade. thank you for this video.

  • first record i ever bought. Record voucher for christmas... think it was 25p. i was 7....them was the days....

  • does anyone remember Suzi Quattro? she could fit right it w/the look of this band. thisband ROCKS, love their music.

  • Lets all go down to Devil Gate Drive! seems a long time ago that song now.Remember when she appeared on Happy Days?

  • Suzi Quatro's hits were written by the same people who wrote the Sweet's - Chapman and Chinn. They were all part of the same stable.

  • @rotcafarg It was in the beggining...after they did their own songs... like Action...is it good enought?? Completely!!!!

  • steve Priest , Hi was handsome

  • Top band great music the sweet will live on forever

  • Great band!

  • sweet die top band der 70iger jahre,da werden

    erinnerungen immer wieder lebendig echt

    super toll 5*****

  • brilliant band

  • you know wuts good about music now a days? Somethings gotta come along thats gonna get people excited about music.(Maybe even Wolfmother or Shinedown.) I just wish the teenagers would stop listening to the bullshit music they listen to now.

  • one of there best songs

  • kick ass great band !!

  • I can't watch this without thinking of Spinal Tap!

  • I wonder (and doubt) whether music as fantastic as theirs will ever be made again!

Oh boy! If taste visted you it would be lonely.

  • Sweet was an incredible band! I wonder (and doubt) whether music as fantastic as theirs will ever be made again! My other 70s favorites (to complete the top 5 in no particular order) were: Queen, Kiss, Abba, and the Village People, all so different, over the top and colorful.

  • On your knees, teenagers, this is the real thing. what do they got now? Taylor Swift?

  • Great memory!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of my favourite Sweet songs...nice to see a live performance instead of the usual miming of the 70s. Just wish the sound was better ;o)

  • Yeah, Sweet was so cool back in the day. The first true glam band!

  • Wow! It's really live! Brian is like a fire here!

  • Holy crap! It must be 20 years since i heard this.. So damn good I'm getting goosebumps.

  • I so love these guys! They are the guys who make the noise that make me feel so good inside! Nothing but the best from this band!

  • Damn, that was cool. Nothing beats LIVE!

  • This Is Fantastic!!! I wonder if the audience realized they were being hit by a MAC truck!.....LIVE!

  • lmao-totally wild,brilliant comment

  • Where in the WORLD did you find this? Absolutely incredible because as you said, they let the boys play LIVE!

  • Brian was so fucking good looking.

  • fucking good song. :)

  • @ivory631

he is the sexiest men not alive

  • @ivory631 uh huh :-)

  • Wow!!! Excellent:-)

  • There's a new Sweet 500 page biography available!

Visit their website (thesweetdotcom) and go to the discussion forum for all the info!

  • Great video version of this song! I haven't seen this one (& I own a lot of their stuff on DVD). Thanks to who-ever posted this. These guys are so awesome and talented! RIP Brian & Mick. Very much missed.

  • I'm going to see them in November. Can't wait!!:D

  • Sweet waren gut, aber keiner kam an Marc Bolan heran.

  • Super Song von Sweet ,leider in sehr schlechter Qualität, es funktioniert nur der rechte Kanal!

  • Is it spinal tap or the White Stripes? No, its SWEET!

  • used to be a teenager now have one myself what a nightmare great song

  • It's a teeeenage raaampage now

    =) =D ^.^

  • We Want Sweet!

    One of my favorite songs!

    Great outfits as always.

    I want Brian's gloves & Steve's shirt.

  • Yeah, wonderful !! It´s LIVE, it´s great, it´s fantastic ! It bring me back to the70´.

    Thank´s a lot for this !!!

  • that was pretty amazing. i wonder if they had any overdubs? there are certainly no keys and i only hear one guitar, but i wonder if there are overdubs for vox. they are really tight.

  • No overdubs on the vocals. These guys really were that tight. Even in the studio the backing vocals were usually all done in one take with Andy, Mick and Steve singing together at the same time, i.e. not layered tracks of individual harmony parts.

And this video shows that Brian was a great vocalist. No realtime auto-tune back then.

The Sweet were extremely talented individuals who never really got the props they deserved...their glam image overshadowed their talent

  • they were class right enough!

  • Am I learning? This rocks! :)

  • live ..loud..and fucking proud,,we want more sweet

  • This song is amazing.

  • The only problem with this performance is that it's too fucking great!!! Same goes for the band.

  • at 13 they were learning

and at 14 they were burning

i love it. am i burning?

  • sounds so much better than the studio tape!!

  • LOL<"We want Sweet!"

  • Memories !

  • me encanta esta cancion ya que soy fanatica de def leppard

  • brian war THE SWEET!!! schade das er von den anderen verarscht wurde!!!!!!!!!

  • Sweet was a great band that sadly doesn't get thr recognization today it rightfully deserves....lots of great songs......it was our teenage rampage!

  • He he me too :) It's never gotten any better in all the years, I still keep coming back to these guys, what talent for their time, there's nothing that can compare in the 21st century..

  • yeah they were a BRILLIANT band ive loved them since I was 11 years old n im nearly 49.

  • friggin Awesome.....Sweet ahead of thier time.....love you guys 4 eva

  • Ones of the best!!!! One of the coolest bands ever!

  • Awesome!! The first Metalband ever! Mick rulez!

  • That was brilliant and a totally live recording and Steve actually sings the right words (obviously as it was for TV)! He usually changed them live (imagine the sensation of teenage constipation etc ... and that is the "clean" version).

    Very Very good.

  • One of the SEXIEST moves that Steve does in this song and lots of others is after he sings, he looks down then to the right at Brian. It's really HOT. He's really HOT.

    ahhhhhhhh

  • Brian and Steve are soooooooo sexy in this vid...!

  • not only in this vid...!!!

  • there all gorgeous as always

  • Questa è bellissima!!! RIP Brian peccato che hai fatto una brutta fine, non dovevi!

  • very cool! muito bom mesmo!
