Intonation and good time transcend style. The guy's intonation is consistantly off. Were he to play a professional job, he'd be out in no time. I suggest you sing accurately scales for a few months, then go back and listen to this clip. You'll thank me.
I'm not talking about intonation, genius,I'm talking about his "STYLE" of playing....the way he approches music and handles the instrument.....two different things!
This was a prototype bass I found at a local music store. It is prototype in the case that it was one of the first 5 strings they made. It has no serial number. I had it de-fretted by the Bass & Guitar custom Shop in Austin, TX. It is a sweet playing & sounding bass.
Cool, good blues ... I just bought a Michael Kelly fretless acoustic bass... gonna take some getting used to I'm afraid... all that clicking and slapping noise on the fretboard is kinda shocking at first... plus it tends to feed back in front of an amp if you're not careful... got to adjust the bridge somehow too... having trouble with my g-string buzzing... (har har) Anyway.. thanks for posting that.
Oh my gosh, Look behind him he has a stick! that's pretty awesome.

Your playing style is EXACTLY like mine. The black dude who lives above me, calls me "Johnny Cash".

I hope not. He's WAY off with Intonation :-)

wow, if I knew Ovation made fretless acoustics, I'd have gotten one instead of the Michael Kelly I bought.
