Listening to it over and over, and yes while I know the new Batman movie coming out really doesn't reflect what I have to say.

However this entire track is like a Dying heartbeat until 2:37 when all of a sudden it begins to resuscitate. Its in a sense the mood of a film, where all the corruption, and evil while still present in Gotham city, dragging Gotham down to a point of death is ever slowly coming back to life because of Batman's intervention.

Hans Zimmer is the composer we deserve, but not the one we need right now. Until then, we will have to deal with the inferior soundtracks. Because we must wait till Batman rises again next summer. But Zimmer is not a composer. He's the Mozart of Movies. The Bach of Soundtracks. The New Beethoven.

@nyyank87 I disagree. Granted, he is very good at what he does, probably one of the very best in his trade. But there is little originality in his music when compared to Mozart or Beethoven. Their fame comes mostly from doing which was revolutionary at their time and turned western music upside down. Zimmer, on the other hand, plays it safe and makes music which "just works". No great experiments or anything. Skillfully crafted commodity products, but of little lasting impact.
