@JBurdoo ...I did not know Liam Clancy passed on? But he will live on with us in our music. I cannot believe he passed away! But as I said, His music will live on!
@SupaDeeXXX i don´t doubt you, with the big irish families, a good per centage of our hemisphere may be related to at least one of the clancy´s by marriage
I like this song because I grew up in Enniskillen, and although I now live in Belfast I still love returning there and visiting the Fermanagh Lakelands, certainly one of, if not the most beautiful part of Northern Ireland.
This is a good example of the passion of real Irish folk music. I have this album and most of the others as well. These fellows stirred the heart, they stirred my heart. I miss them. I'm so pleased that they are here on Youtube.
Typical, classic, stirring early Clancy Bros and Tommy Makem. Thanks for the posting

Liam Clancy is gone? Oh, man. Well, there's a new generation on the rise, and the Makems and Clancys will live as long as their songs are sung.

Tommy's sons make a good fist of this, worth a listen - (Don't damn them by comparison) so it's still being performed live.
You must be so proud of them Tommy
RIP, and Thanks for all those songs!!
