btw, does anyone know if there's a vehicle list w/ the actual real counterpart of that car? Like for example, I know that the Speedcrafts are Ford Mustangs and Kohr Racing are Porsche.
@IVEMER Not sure if its the fastest in the game, but it should be. The car on the cover is a TVR Cerbera Speed 12. I don't know of any lists for this game though.
The 99' Lassiter is the fastest car in the entire game. Don't believe me?
Start playing the game with the name 'EvilRob' and get to where you unlock the A Class Lassiter McCloud. Hold R in the race to accelerate faster than the Excalibur Mystic or Falcon Interceptor.
I loved this game! The physics were very accurate, and you had to be a good driver to succeed(which I was). Although the cars you start out with are slow, once you get some of the gt1 cars or the mystic or interceptor the games starts to be really fun.
HAHAHAHAHAHAH! I did the last track again, but this time I used the Mystic, my total time was about 24 min. 2nd place got a total time of 30 min. I laped everyone like 5 times HAHAHA! It makes me laugh because all these team owners brag about how good their cars are, then I come in and kick all of their asses! HAHAHa. I crack myself up. HAHA.
I just beat the game again, the last level or track is Kyoto with 20 laps, I laped Meiden Krauss and everyone else Three times! God I'm Good!! It's also fun to beat GT1 races with a GT2 car or take the Excalibur Mystic to a GT2 race, you look and feel like a God.
I have a question. At the End of the Game when you beat not GT2 but GT1 or the "WDC Win Sequence" and your car is on the top of a building. The credits say Congratulations You have Beaten World Driver BLAH BLAH BLAH, but then it says "YOU SHOULD CREATE YOUR OWN TEAM" that's my question, CAN YOU??
I agree and Disagree. I agree that it is the BEST racing game EVER for N64, and it has the best graphics. 10 stars absolutely awsome. I diagree that it was challenging, because to me it was easy, the only thing is that it was long, not hard. Especially compared to Forza or NFS. And it is not hard to use an actual N64 controller either or maybe I'm just awsome.
Yeah when you ran this game in the high-resolution mode, it was probably the best looking N64 game. It did hit the frame rate rather hard though, but was still playable.
PS1 had the edge when it came to racing games... 'the grand turismo of the n64' is a desperate claim at best.

The best racing game of the N64 and one of the best that i ever played.
