  • SUBSCRIBED!!!

    Love your videos Joe.

  • big turtle! but your estimation was most likely wrong! A turtle that size is 35-45 lbs. My buddy has caught a 62lb 13oz. Snapping Turtle but nice catch!

  • @BooMWildLife

I didn't have anything to measure it with. It very well could have been much heavier than I estimated. Most people don't know that I'm 6'1 and weigh 250+ pounds. I make everything look small. Thanks for watching and commenting on the show buddy.

  • i love you joe

  • Dude Joe, I love your show man, Im tellin all my california friends about this. Its cool how you give away the spots, a rarety in Southern California. I wish someone would do a show like this in California. Keep up the good work bro.

  • Hey, Joe. I fish a few "private lakes" where the turtles are that size & then some. When these suckers surface, there are times they sound like submarines hitting the surface! LOL!!! Thanks for posting that big dog! It's always fun to show folks the "other critters" we run into while fishing. Fish on!

  • what parts of ohio you fish in/

  • What ever part I can fish in. Thanks for watching the show.

  • I was fishing, and about the same size turtle swam up to me, so I decided to try to hook him using worms, got him too :)

  • Theres one in the retention pond by my house where we catch bass. If that one is 25 lbs this one is atleast 30+. he ate a whole bluegill once. He ate a bobber too.

  • the dude thats doing the commentary sounds like a robot

  • my dad reeled one of those in to it wuz a little bigger than that one but the funny thing wuz he had stepped on the hook instead of biting it.

  • I had two 24" pike on my stringer, but a snappng turtle about that big ate one of them and started on the other.

  • i caught one like that on cut bluegill

  • my dad when he was my age caught an 80lbs snapper in diamond lake indiana im 15 and i love to fish

  • lol nice vids in florida we normally catch way bigger fish but thier all still fun:) i found a pond where i can fish for an hour n catch atleast 1 7pounder plus

  • Where is Deer Creek Lake? Does that have a dam controled by the army corps of engineers?

  • Deer Creek is near Mt. Sterling, Ohio. It's got a control dam too.

    Thanks for watching the show.

  • nice what kind of boat do you have?

  • that turtle is a baby compareed to what we catch in massachusetts, i love the vids though.

  • dood one time when i was fishing at the lake at coney island by the bumper boats, i hooked a 3 foot turtle and like two feet wide. iwas scared to death. but you can catch some good catfish, bluegill even crappie.

  • Why are you netting 10 and 12 inchers?

  • sometimes even small bass can get off the line easily.

  • dam we got snappers like that to up in ny kid got his achilles bitten wadin in the wallkill river

  • Ouch!!!

  • dont expect no grand kids

  • Nice fishing tape Joe. Rick Brooks and I made a tape of our fishing in the Ohio river back in 94. We had a lot of nice fish.

I was living in Florida for 11 years and fished with another Ironton boy, Dave Kriebel. We fished a lot of tournaments together out on Kissimmee and other Florida lakes. I moved to Georgia about 3 weeks ago and am pond fishing on the property I live on. Have to try out Oconee, Sinclair, and Clarks Hill when I get a chance. tight lines

  • Bassangler33880,

Thanks for the kind comments. You gotta luv Georgia fishing. Tight lines.

  • I was Trapping Turtles fith my buddy and we caught two snappers that were monsterous!

  • hey Joe. I always go down to muskingum river to fish at my grandpas cottage and i have caught big catfish about 15-20 pounds. i have also seen people catch muskies in the muskingum river but i have no clue what bait they use..nice videos

  • well i always go down to the muskingum river and fish and i seen people catch huge muskies but i have no clue what bait they use. and i love ur videos !!

  • You never know what youre going to catch on the Mighty Muskingum. Thanks for watching cutiekk96.

  • Thank you Joe,I'm more worried about not being able to fish there than the move,I'm not after monsters but just knowing that if I want to go fishing after work for a few hours I can.Getting back into freshwater fishing is another story,I'm currently in Cape Breton N.S. so giving up fishing would kill me.

    Thanx again for your time.

  • Hey Joe I see you got the fun part of fishing mastered,I was wondering if you could give me some advise,I'll be moving to Fairborn in Augs and I know very little about the fishing there, like is there, how far do I need to go, and just getting started what gear I should get first to get me started.(rod, real, line and baits). thanx for your time and great shows.

  • If youre near Fairborn by Dayton the fishing can be tough. Concentrate on the Stillwater River north of Dayton and the Great Miami near Tip City for stream smallies. Those arent the only places but, they are some good places.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • that turtles tiny....we caught a 50+ on our boat...we just cut the line..

  • Thanks for watching Dekam77. A 50+ pound turtle is huge. I'm sure they get much bigger in some parts of the country than they do in Ohio. I just have one question. How do you know the turtle was really 50+ pounds if you just cut the line?

    LOL.

  • lol. i caught a snapper that wouldnt fit into the net on 8 pound line while fishing for catfish with cut bait.

  • been watching ur videos. it is odvious u know whats going on.

but i gotta quesion ...do uever catch any big bass?

  • i catch about the same size bass as Joe, the lake i fish does have 5 pound+ bass in it but ive only caught a couple 5 pounders. i fish in ohio and the bass dont get very big compared to more southern states.

  • Looks like Turtles are ever where right now my little girl got one the othere day when we was out fishing,Video soon on it

  • Thanks for watching. I'll be looking for your new turtle video as well.

  • Thanks for watching the show and thanks for the heads up on Ross Lake.

  • Joe, that was a dandy snapper! Ever clean and fry one up? Of course they taste like chicken; what did you expect? I bet you did have a blast with mini-cranks; were you in a feeder creek of a lake? Doodles

  • Its been a long time since I've had turtle soup, from what I remember cleaning a turtle can be a lot of work. I did have a blast with the little crankbaits and I was in the feeder creek. Thanks for watching Winkiedoodles.

  • Great Turtle! Every time I go cat fishing at Alum Creek I usually catch at least one! Watch your fingers!

  • Thanks for watching Horseshoebender and thanks for the good advice. I'll be sure to keep my fingers where they belong, right on my hands.
