  • this is not extended!!!

  • @NinjaBabyOfDeath yes it is, moron

  • @StupidBoyComics Short*

  • Epic fight scene! Shirt and sweet with some really good moments.

  • the only add on was Lurtz licking the knife arragorn threw at him but stil a great fucking scene.

  • The only thing extended in this video is my penis

  • 46 orcs watched and disliked this video :D

  • theres nothing extended about this scene

  • @Syatek2020 the only difference is he licked the knife

  • What part of this was not in the regular version?

  • Fun fact: Deflecting the knife throw was not meant to happen in the original script, the knife was supposed to miss and hit the tree behind Aragorn. But due to the restricted vision Lurtz actor, Lawrence Makoare, missed the target and threw the knife directly at Viggo. The director decided to keep that scene rather than the originally planned scene, as he did just barely manage to knock the dagger away.

  • @Hades0794 Is there any thing Viggo/Aragorn can`t do???

  • @singhisking853 Fun fact: No. :p

  • You know how hard it would be to find that dagger?

  • 0:14... BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 57 seconds would be a great 3D moment

  • this is not the extended edition

  • seriously this is one of the best fight scenes ever imo

  • Doesn't anyone realise that this isn't extended edition

  • @mniyad Yes the licking of the knife is extended, the rest isn't.

  • @lewischawko I think your right, but i just saw the normal version on youtube and it did have the licking of the knife (i guess that was probably another extended edition because the title didn't say extended edition) and i don't remember it being in the bluray version i've got.

Anyway, i love this scene by the way, so sad for Boromir but it was an honourable death.

  • @mniyad yes me

  • if the guy had hit aragon lower instead of the head he would hav dieed

  • NOM NOM NOM BABIES

  • Aragorn must have been trained by yoda himself!

  • like a fucking jedi.

  • The part when Lurtz throws the knife was suppose to just miss and hit the tree near Aragorn, but the actor's mask made him miss and throw it right at him. Pretty much Aragorn actor had to block that knife in the take...so they kept it since it was a better scene really. XD

  • 0:19 whoooooo tha would have been game over

  • Horatio! The victim was found decapitated!

"I guess he..." -dramatic pause, puts on sunglasses- "Lost his head."

    YYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Still one of the high points of the trilogy! Great films all of them, but in my opinion the first was never surpassed

  • This isn't extended :(

  • @Standa95 The Extended Edition of FOTR adds the shot of Lurtz licking his own blood off Aragorn's knife.

  • Like a BOSS

  • LMAO. 0:53

"I just sawed your arm off."

    "Tis but a scratch!"

    "You looney!"

"Aw, it is just a flesh wound."

  • @InsanityComedyM The Black Knight always triumphs. Have at yoU!

  • Lurtz FTW!

  • took a sword to his knee! but that was a pretty long sword

  • this isn't from the extended version i have the normal one and it has this bit complete so this isn't from the extended version

  • 0:03 instead of just standing there growling, why doesn't he just shoot?

  • 0:53 wtf lurc doing he want kiss Aragorn or what

  • @lordabe

This is NOT extended version. Title your video properly, bastard!

  • @utubesqueeze U mad bro?

  • He didn't throw it off target, that was initially supposed to happen but the Uruk-Hai costume fucked with his aim so they decided to just throw it at the tree. The actor actually did it perfectly and shit went to plan. =)

  • When Lurtz throws the knife at Aragorn, it was meant to miss him and hit a tree behind him. Lurtz's actor (no idea of his name, sorry) threw it off target, straight for Aragorn's actor (no idea of his name either, sorry) and Aragorn was able to deflect the knife with his sword. True story.

  • 'Twas only a flesh wound.

  • @Fraugee

better than a arrow in the knee :-)

  • @Fraugee OOLLOOLLOOLLOOLOLLOLOOLOLLOLOLOOLLOLO

  • it's a magical fucking sword that jumps back into your hand. there happy ?

  • this is no extended edition this is the reular edition dumbass

  • @D4NG3R1993 no, the part when he licks the knife isnt in the regular edition, but anything else is pretty much the same

  • This fight could have been much better. A more solid duel would have been nice, rather than a 40-second fight with an anti-climactic finish.

  • 0:52 OH THAT'S BADASS!!!

  • PAUSE AT 0:18, looks like aragon is taking a huge shit, lol.

  • Mistake at 13 - 15 seconds, sword bounces off tree and then you see him holding it again,

  • Fun fact: the part where he deflects the knife with his sword was actually not in the script. Even more respect for Viggo Mortensen and his mad sword skillz :D

  • @WolfhoundMercenary

and that knife was supposed to be real right?

  • @FREEKILL117 It was blunt of course, but still could do some major damage to his face if he let that one slide.

  • @WolfhoundMercenary

    BUT NO

    He's Viggo motherfucking Mortensen

  • I think lurtz just wanted a fun hug from viggo.

  • 'tis mearly a flesh wound!

  • @s1lmona That made my day.

  • this wasn't extended edition

  • @jackboydownie123 0:38 - 0:40 proves that it is.

  • @Lahnapihvi didn't see that and that wasn't in normal bit so thanks for showing me that

  • 0:38 nom nom nom nom

  • everyone at the movie theater cheered when he cut his head off

  • @WhispersNz i didnt, i was sad.

  • Don't get me wrong I love Lord of the ring but some of the scenes are just too far fetched. kind of like this one where he slides out of the shield but before that he was stuck with the orge things threw it. but i guess that what makes movies movies

  • @funnybunny8575 You complain about that? Oh then the Giant fecking Fell Beasts, Mumakil, Balrogs, Orcs and Ringwraiths are totally realistic to the dull reality of the waking world? What about the elves that live forever if not killed by grief or war? What about the magic of good and evil practiced by heroes from both sides? What about the Trolls, Wargs, Goblins and Spiderlings? And actually, its not an ogre, its called an Uruk-Hai, and as they go he is meanest. Respect Tolkien fantasy peasant!

  • @ThePalaeontologist dude....calm down, I love lord of the rings and am a fanatic and total nerd, I was just stating my opinion. Everyone has one and can speak it.

  • The only thing that was cut is at 0:38 when he is licking his knife!

  • Do you know whats really strange?

This scene and especially Lurtz are just awesome but he isn't even in the book O___o

  • Best part is when Lurtz throws Aragorn's own knife at him and Aragorn deflects it with his sword, damn that awesome. Viggo is legit

  • @Ninety9Soulz that actually wasnt supposed to happen.

  • For some reason I think Sean Bean's choreography looked more solid.

It's probably because Sean Bean is a tanked out Northener and Viggo's a slighter build, because Bean's cuts seem to carry more weight and give more impact.

  • @darkwartexx

Well as in the books Boromir was renowned for his Strength.

  • the only extra bit was he licked his knife.

  • holy shit

  • this scenen is also in the original film dude

  • @hierlei

Yes but the part where he licks the knife was not.

  • @maky1588 ok maybe youre right than i just have the extendet version

  • keep an eye on aragons sword from 13 sec until 15 sec

  • @tree8813 do you mean as it flys out of his hand, then he has it again towards the end of the clip? If so the sword flies off to his right of the tree and he falls to that side of tree so he gets his sword again.

  • not deleted not extended

  • that is nort deleted scene

  • Of all the additions specific to Peter Jackson's movie adaptation, Lurtz is probably the best. The way that huge orc pulls the sword deeper into his own body just to stare down Aragorn before he dies is the definition of badass.

  • @jackkoffin1 I think he wanted to eat him XD

  • lol at 0:14 Aragorn drops his sword and at 0:15 he's still holding it.

  • @xBchify its a cut sceene

  • @xBchify maybe he caught it and then dropped it again...

  • @xBchify maybe he caught it again

  • @xBchify Didn't you know? Aragorn a jedi

  • lol they rlly had to cut out lurtz licking the blood off the knife?? i was expecting like a whole extra minute of fights or something lol

  • Thats not extended i have the dvd, and thats on it exactly the same

  • @iNFeCTioNZzv lol i think you must have a specila version of the DVD. i mean...i think the "extended" part is when the orc guy licks the blood...Which btw is disgusting...and then the rest of the fight happens. :P

  • how was that extended it was part of the first 1 on video

  • Aragon dropped his sword at 14 sec and he got it back in .01 sec...cool

  • @tree8813 umm no he didn't he dropped it, dodged Lurtz, stabbed a knife in lurtz's leg, Lurtz kicked him, took out the knife, and Aragorn picked up his sword. I don't know what your saying?

  • Where does the name 'Lurtz' come from?:/

  • @ImInUpendi he's not in the book.

  • @TheBadgerslayer I haven't heard the name in the movies either..

  • @ImInUpendi If you want to learn about Lurtz, then go to the Lord of the Rings wikia

  • @ImInUpendi lotr.wikia/wiki/lurtz is the link

  • @Sithguy77 Thanks!

  • Woohaaaaa Lurtz RULE !! The Shield Throwing was LEGENDARY =)

And would be magnificient, if he finished the job at that moment.

Nevertheless, Lurtz probably scared the SHIT OUT OF HIM...Especially while they were close.

He must have thought that Lurtz could bite even eat him right over there =)

Oh BTW, 1 Punch at 0.27... Wow man just WOW !!

Didn't see a Punch like that, since Clubber Lang happened in Rocky 3 =)

He totally knocked him out =) Too bad, Lurtz wasn't fast enough to put an end to him.

  • the way the orc licks the blood off the daggers sooo arousing...im jus kidding, thats effing gross : |

  • ew! 0:38

  • 0:14 Aragorn gets tossed against the tree, and throws his sword to HIS right,

0:16 Lurtz throws his shield to aragorn, while aragorn holds his sword..

  • @LawlVideo nice spot work dude!!

  • He licked the knife......

  • 0:16 that was pro

  • and the extended is...??

  • the first time i saw the movie, this scene was still in...the other 3 times it wasn't...

(am no freak, most of the time they play those movies once a year)

  • 0:39 thats fucking gross no matter how mutated you are

  • best fight scene of all time?

  • lan aptal bu extended edition degıl amk evladı senı :D bu zaten filmde var amk cahılı. sıktır gıt burdan lıselı

  • On another deleted scene he pick's the head up,and kick's it like a soccer ball.

  • 0:51 Lurtz is all, "Ha, ha, doesn't hurt!"

  • the only thing in this that isn't in the movie is when he licks the dagger

  • @TheMinarus its not his sword, its his dagger

  • Lurtz wasn't tough. He was a coward who only killed Boromir because of a nice, convenient, long-range bow and arrow. Aragorn decapitated him in 1 minute and 5 seonds.

  • @tonypap1 Movie making lesson 1: Make the audience hate the villian no matter how cheap...

  • @tonypap1 You're right. However, when Aragorn and th others were fighting the other Uruk-hai, no single Uruk lasted as long as Lurtz did against Aragorn, and they had the advantage of numbers.

  • @tonypap1 Do you realize how long that is? How many other enemies lasted more than ten seconds against any of the Fellowship's fighters one-on-one?

Funny how he's a coward because he killed someone with a bow, though. I seem to recall a certain pointy-eared someone using a bow pretty much exclusively for the entire series, and you're not calling his courage into question.

  • @tonypap1 how is he a coward? He took on Aragorn 1 on 1

  • @omniexistus

The way he shot Boromir from "long range". Nice easy pickings !!!!

  • 0:52 Lurtz: DAT SHIT DONT HURT ME CRACKA!

    0:55: DIS SHIT WILL BITCH!

  • I'm always freaked out at 0:04! Damn!

  • Although its short, I reckon that has to be one of the best duel/fight scenes there is on film, simply because its two heavyweights going toe to toe as hard as they can. None of this 10 minute long shite we see in *cough* Star Wars

  • 0:56... WEEE :D

  • Lurtz is fuckin scary :L

  • Best thing about that scene is when Lurtz throws the knife. The stunt guy was supposed to miss, but in one take he accidentally lobbed it right at Viggo. In a split second, he managed to draw his sword and bat it away like the true swordsman he is. Dayum.

  • @TrufflesTheMushroom LOTR wiki for the win??

  • @TrufflesTheMushroom Technically Viggo's stuntman blocked the sword and the actual actor who plays Lurtz threw the knife. You have it the other way round lol.

  • @TrufflesTheMushroom for real? where did u get this info?

  • @MrShadeviperx Behind-the-scenes footage with the actors and some crewmen and stuff. I think it was 'Cameras is Middle Earth'.

  • @TrufflesTheMushroom did u learn that in the 26 hour behind the scenes?

  • @TrufflesTheMushroom SERIOUSLY?! I had no idea.

  • this scene was not cut?!?!?!?!

  • @TheJackinder the scene where lurtz licked the knife was cut

  • @Pallaking2 ahh good spot

  • Comment removed

  • @TheJackinder i thought it first to but lurtz is licking the knife that comes out of his leg, thats's the only difference i think,,

  • @barabos4 ooo yeah i think your right!

  • another fucking awsome scene that was cut.....

  • Now that is why uruk-hai are awesome

  • All that's new is the fact that he licks Aragorn's Dagger.

  • Its only a flesh wound

  • At 0:42 when Aragorn deflects the knife with his sword that was real. Apparently, Lurtz's actor was supposed to throw it at the tree behind him, but the mask obscured his vision so he accidently threw it right at Viggo Mortensen.

  • @Lazyguy22 Like we didn't know.

  • Reminds me of college.

  • The actor who plays Lurtz is absolutely hilarious. He was walking around with with a pompom on his head (while in Lurtz costume) going on about how the Urukhai should've been surrounding him and Aragorn doing a dance and cheer for Lurtz.

"Give'em an L! Give'em a U! ...GO LURTZ!" Haha, kind of takes the terror out of the character knowing what a swell guy he is underneath all that prosthetics and make up.

  • They are both such beasts.

  • I'd be glad if those, who say that there is nothing extended in this scene, carefully compared this video with the Aragorn-Lurtz battle from the theatrical cut before they write a commentary :) It is definitely extended

  • @TheMinarus the first sword he loses is an orcs sword he picked up the second one is his he draws after he loses the first one

  • wtf this isnt the extended edition its the regular edition

  • lurtz is badass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • 0:40 Aragorn's face he's like "what the fuck, sicko"

  • git owned, lurtz.

  • this isnt extended~

  • Comment removed

  • @LiberoMan yea, i didn't think so either

  • @LiberoMan Shut up! I'm watching a kewl fight scene!

  • @LiberoMan he dont lick the knife before throwing on normal edition :P

  • @LiberoMan He doesn't lick the knife in the regular version.

  • @Leonniket he does

  • @LiberoMan Ya, though it wasn't in the regular edition, either, except in the extras.

  • @LiberoMan

Yes it is from the extended edition, can someone thumb this comment down, it doesn't belong on the top.

  • @askjiir Oh, sorry... I'll remove it haha! xD Still - the licking sequence wasn't all that "extended" if you ask me.

  • Ive watched it 10 times at least on TV he does lick is blade I do bealeve. Because I seen nothign extended about this.

  • Well, it could be the extended version of the fight cause in the movie (which i'm watching right now) Lurtz doesn't lick the bloody knife... An extension of 1 1/2 second --

  • DAYUM NIGGA GOT BEAT.

  • I remember seeing this in theatres and everyone applauding and cheering after this part...so boss

  • After several years I think Fellowship was the best movie. And Lurtz vs Aragorn fight was even better than the huge battle scenes. Almost like watching WWE :)
