  • Thnak for the nice review of Bruno's work. FWIW his last name is pronounced MA-TEY ... Thanks, john

  • got womens prison massacre after watching your tribute. Definitely one of my favorite movies of all time! Unfortunately i got the cut version. Im going to buy the uncut version too. Great stuff! Gemsers an awsome actress. Love to watch her.

  • Grrreat video dude :)

  • Bruno was awesome. Only he could get away with an Aliens rip-off and call it Terminator 2.

  • That was fantastic!!

  • great review man. I do enjoy bruno mattei's films. I feel that women's prison's massacre was his best also. If you get a chance check out some of my stuff.

  • Matteis movies looks amazing, thanks for the information.

  • I bought a copy of Hell of the Living Dead for something like 10 bucks several years back~ and i gotta say i was sold on Bruno at that point, WHAT A CLASS ACT.. I remember thinking.. hmmm this is KINDA LIKE DAWN OF THE DEAD.... ONLY NOT... if you told me Bruno made a movie with Jaws in a pink tutu with theme music ripped from Robocop i would in fact believe you... great tribute.

  • Hell of The Living Dead is one of the craziest, zaniest, and downright bizarre horror movie experiences I've had.

There's something to be said about his films, that are so bad yet so addicting, they come off as a form of art.

  • Awesome tribute! Island Of The Living Dead should been included though,it's a lot of fun.Great zombie cheese.

  • Great tribute dude :).I`m really looking forward to check out more of his work.I`ve only seen a couple of those Laura Gemser movies, and they were quite entertaining :)

  • that doesnt mean your not a list director

that your movie arent good i dint see any of is film they look entertainig

  • I cannot shake how many of Buno's movies I have actually watched! That one really caught my attention: 'Snuff Trap' I saw that one back in Russia, and for anyone who noticed that case was in Russian. That was the first snuff movie I'd seen. I would really like to see 'Cruel Jaws'

  • He did a hilarious Rambo rip off called Strike Commando......a classic.

  • I was given Hell of the Living Dead and Rats on a 2 for 1 dvd from a friend for my birthday last year(Whoa, hell of the living dead has a rat starting zombie armagendon) . The ending of rats changed my life, j/k.

Now i need to see Bruno Mattei's terminator 2.

This was a great homage to a great director!

  • Nicely done!!

  • I just got the uncut Women's Prison Massacre DVD. Paid $20 and it was totally worth it.

  • Quite simply the best worst horror / exploitation / ripoff artiste director to ever live . His memory lives on . I'm dying to see his last two films . JV

  • Good video indeed! But I´m concidered that what is your source in that Womens Camp 119 (a.k.a. SS Experiment Love Camp) is directed by Bruno Mattei? Cause in my exploitation digital DVD release says it is directed by Sergio Carrone and IMDB says so too? I don´t get that one really...

  • Garrone directed SS Camp 5: a woman's hell.

    Mattei directed Womens camp 119

  • Is RATS any good? I love HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD

  • Picked up and watched "RATS - Night Of Terror" and really enjoyed it. The ending is one of the best endings of all time.

  • I love the "Rats" ending. It's so preposterous, but it works so well!!

  • @thecinemasnob Dude, that ending tripped me out... I loved it! Can't wait to draw up that title card for The Bruno Mattei Show! ;)

  • fucking awsome man r.i.p bruno mattei

  • He's awsome. I have seen many movies by him and yes... they might be bad movies in most people eyes... but in my eyes... he is awsome :)

  • I wouldn't class Fulci or Mattei in the same class as Dario Argento. Argento pushes the edge without going to the depths that either Fulci or Mattei did. Plus Mattei is nothing more than a thief. Look at the original Dawn of the Dead and Hell of the Living Dead. The heros wear blue swat team jumpsuits, and even raid a group of militants early in the film.

  • @darkstar6909 your are,to quote a certain troll,a BITCH of the highest calliber

  • fallout's a great game.

  • Bruno is an excellent director, despite what people say. His main talent however was in film editing, which was his original profession before stepping into the director's seat. That's why his films are always entertaining as hell. He knew how to manipulate any movie given any amount of budget to keep people enthralled.

    RIP Bruno Mattei!

  • I want to see the Women's Prison Massacre one...

Never EVER show me the rat one...I have a bad phobia of rodents.

  • I love bruno RIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this was nice.. I actually own only his more known films (hell of the living dead, Zombie 3, Rats). They hold a special place somewhere in my memories.

  • Thanks for this...I cant really say I'm a fan of Mattei's work, but it's a well done little tribute, I'll give Women's Prison Massacre another shot some time soon.

  • I own copies of both Cannibal Holocaust 2 and Cannibal Holocaust 3(You said it under the other title Cannibal Ferox 3).

Basically Cannibal Holocaust 2 is a remake of Cannibal Holocaust taking place in the 2000's and Cannibal Holocaust 3 is not really a remake but it does steal lots of scenes/lines of dialog from Cannibal Holocaust.

Both really fun experiences to watch though they both have a old feel to them.

  • ....oh, and a great tribute, btw!

  • Post-apocalyptic for no reason at all? How about to cash in on the popularity of "The Road Warrior" series that was popular at the time.

  • A fitting tribute to a great man, nice work. Rats has one of the best soundtracks ever, while Zombie Creeping Flesh is genious!

  • I own "HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD" and use to own "ZOMBI3" in my opinion I think "HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD" is the best Italian "ZOMBIE" movie ever!

  • Zombie water! Zombie water!

  • Probably. :) The CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST DVD would work too, since it has the Animal Cruelty Free version.

Anyways-- I love all your videos, can't wait for more.

  • Very nice tribute to a cool director. WOMEN'S PRISON MASSSACRE lives on in legend...

  • Thanks! When I first got that, I accidentally got the edited version, so I had to send in a postcard to get the Unrated version. So just like with "Caligula" I own an edited and unedited version of the same movie. I guess that'll come in handy if someone with a heart condition wants to borrow them.
