  • That part in the middle where it gets quiet and then Iommi riffs back in gives me chills. Geezer and Bill come in and lay waste with that heavy groove. Sabbath is still the greatest metal band ever. Modern bands just can't, or won't, groove like this.

  • which band are black sabbath covering here?

  • fo realz if anyone can show me more dark shit like this i would be grateful...the darkest i got in my collection is electric wizard...those guys are pretty badass so i dunno if you can beat those dudes!

  • @sleepoptimistic black sabbath the album born again

  • @sleepoptimistic Look up the band Pentagram on youtube for more 70s doom metal. They started in the DC area in the 70s but didn't release their first album until 1980. They have a dark doomy sound. The band is still around but only the singer is left from the original lineup.

  • its crazy to think that shit like this was popular, nowadays everythings crystal clean, theres no gritty cool as dark looking things that i can find anymore, i just woke up so thats why i sound weird...but yeah i wanna find more dark things like this!!!

and susanna hoffs looks sexy hanging out over there in the sidebar haha!

  • now i know where electric wizard got their kick ass sound...This cover is BADAASSS!!!....

  • Fun Fact: Warning was originally by the short lived Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation, in a much shorter form. Ironically enough, Ozzy misheard the song and sings "I was born without you baby" instead of "I was warned about you baby", which was the entire basis for the song and reason it was called "Warning".

  • @realityfrominsanity fun fact: regarding the name of the song i was singing "i was warned about you baby" for years.

  • @WelcomeToDetroitWimp Well congratulations, you're a genius.

  • tres bon vidéo se me rappele le bon vieux temps lollllllll

  • Who did this first?

  • Unstoppable solo!

  • you know your old when you remember dropping orange sunshine the day you came home wth this album

  • For many reasons my fav track ever. I was but a boy before I heard this way back in the day, but from then on I walked the true path of rock! I may be old now but but this is still music to my ears

  • Now the first day that I met ya.Yep exactly how i feel about this originators of the real rock we call metal no one comes close to Sabbath. So all who disagree on that issue I say Please GO FUK YOURSELF Thank You Thank You Thank You.My days would be so boring if not for relics such as the one we hear right now.So like I just said Please Go Fuk Oneself if u disagree

  • A great turning point for Rock music. 1970. The themes became darker and the music more experimental. This song sends shivers up my spine, no matter how many times I listen to it. Genius.

  • that's the 1970's

  • Such an awesome tune, love the guitar in this. First time I have listened to in almost 20 years and it stil ROCKS!!

  • Prayers and all the best to Tony Iommi as he goes for treatment for Lymphoma cancer

  • another piece of dose rock

  • A great Black Sabbath production. Like so many bands that have great productions obscured and unappreciated, so this one goes unrequited by the masses.

  • Chuck who?

  • The porn in the suggested videos has 90mill+ views, Disappointing horny mother fuckers.

  • Brum Blues; a beautiful product of its time... it owes so much to Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley. If you don't know these greats, replay and use y-tube to find the sources, just as i found y-tube to find my 16 year old!

  • @notthegingerone who hasn't heard of chuck berry?

  • @juanperez43 The same people who hasn't heard of Elvis I suppose. @_@

  • es la mejor musica pesada de todos los tiempos ....como dice theotherkikom..................

  • the feelings of this song were a little bit too strong for 14 people.

  • definitely awsome... - love this group...

  • tony iommi rulez

  • Happy 42nd birthday to Metal (this album)

  • FAKIN PRFEKŠN

  • In the 40 odd years I have been listening to Black Sabbath, this is THE song that sticks into my mind - like a cognitive tattoo.

  • @Claudius690 A cognitive tattoo, never read it put better, it feels as if this song has been with me for ever...and will never, ever leave..why would u wish it any other way..\m/

  • @Claudius690 I think the opening cough and riff to Sweet Leaf is etched on the inside of my skull, and possibly enterwined with my DNA too. Made a serious impression on me at 13.

  • Great song! :D

  • Holy crap,this is awesome! :D

  • TONY IS A GUITAR GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • will you people please stop reffering to this stuff as heavy metal ... it isn't and wasn't.

I was smoking when I first heard this in the early seventies and there was nothing ... nothing like this then.

The period threw up people and stuff and it was like wow ... what the hell is this!!!

Very fortunate times to be young in.

  • 9:25

  • anyone remember the first time they heard this album?

  • I love the true stereo effect!

  • If I could I'd fuck this song so it'd have children

  • First time I've heard this in 35 years.

  • @Entropy56 Where were you living? In a cave?

  • Ozzy's voice changed after the Paranoid album.

  • @Entropy56 It did, but it was still good.

  • Ronnie is probably the better and more polished singer. But there's no denying that Ozzy has an incredibly unique sound, and that Black Sabbath was way more creative and original during the Ozzy era.

  • It's actually a cover, originally done by the Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation.

  • Compositionally, "The Warning" wanders aimlessly about for over 10 min.....and you know what??" It plain fuckin' works!

  • Comment removed

  • i love OZZY !!!!!

  • So torn between this and Hand of Doom as to which is the greatest and heaviest Sab song....

  • I'm 13 yeras old,but I hear rock,metal and much more.I hate today music.So it's all!

  • @cappyorhappy don't start listening to metalcore, or any of that other emo bullshit.

  • @MrEmokiller666 I promise! :3

  • the best song sabbath ever fucking did & thats cuming frm there biggest fan. the song is like an orgasm in yer ear wen yer high as fuck

  • @cuminyorface

Ha, dude I love eating a handful of pills and turning this shit on. It's like the only thing you can think of is "wow"

  • In 1970 both the Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel split up, then this Sabbath album came out and over night the music scene went from white into the black. Saw them with Captain Beyond, what a show! Bill Ward played a little 4 pc. drum kit and I thought "Wow, Ringos drums never sounded like that." Oh Ozzy, just like Hershey's choclate we worship you oh dark lord. lol

  • All Wet

  • FUCK YEA!!!

  • This is one of my favorite Sabbath songs. This album is a must have!

  • @27thepusher I was in a music store the other day and found it for the 1st time and i was like ''MUST......BUY........THIS''.

  • That solo is epic.

  • I MUST COMMENT THIS AGAIN, JUST TO REMEMBER MYSELF: FUCKIN' TIMELESS SONG!!!!!!!!!

  • fucking sabbath

  • This is THE best heavy metal song of all time .... and there for the greatest song of all time :)

  • @Theotherkikomi too bad its not heavy metal

  • @MrVirusSnake This album was the birth of metal..Black Sabbath were the first metal band..every true metal fan knows that..every metal band after Black Sabbath owes a debt to them musically

  • @shawndixon13 yes but this particular song is 99% blues and rock rather than metal...

  • @Theotherkikomi This is blues rock.

  • @Theotherkikomi I agree so much, I'm in love with this song

  • @Theotherkikomi this is classic rock stupid man..not heavy metal....!

  • @Dbalx straight up classic rock.I would say that heavy metal was based around this, but black Sabbath is a form of crazy acid blues rock and roll with a twist of hell for effect.LOL

  • @jdrt1911 u know what?i like you..i like your style man..u speak the fucking truth!!!just that..thats the right words..(sorry for my english if i am wrong..u know..i am greek...hehe) tell me...i ask from curiosity..what other rock do u hear?

  • @Dbalx listen to "when the levee breaks" by led zeppelin!

  • @gunslinga19 why u said that to me?and also the song of course i have hear it...the drums of bonham just kills...

  • @Dbalx because u asked someone what they listen to, and I thought you wanted recommendations so I suggested that song cus Bonham kills lol

  • @gunslinga19 hehe ok then..thanx..yeah let his soul rest in peace :/ :)..although..my favourite drummer was mitch mitchell..what do u have to say about him?

  • @Dbalx A legend but increasingly shadowed by main man Hendrix. Have you heard Stargazer? Awesome drum intro.

  • @gunslinga19 yeah of crouse HENDRIX WAS THE BEST MUSIC MAN EVER EVER EVER..hehe..oh yeah i know thw song..thw intro its insaaaane maan!!!!really..if u want to have any rock conversation check me out on facebook..alx triantafyllou..

  • I see a lot of people praising Ozzy and thats fine. But the truth is they would still be a great band even without Ozzy. Tony Iommi may be a little sloppy on his solos but his riffs are so catchy it should be illegal. It doesn't hurt to have Geezer and Bill Ward holding the rhythm down behind you either.

  • @Royalvisigoths Don't be so fucking stupid, They needed ozzy just as much as they needed bill, tony and geezer. so fuck you!

  • you know.. I've Played n Smoked The SHIT out of This Page!

  • this is the real shit man, greetings from croatia

  • Black Sabbath my friends.

  • i fell like jerking ozzy s mom off

  • this song is so fucking awesome.

  • yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! ozzy rules

  • @GamerMovieMaker7 .I see...ROCK ON BITCHES!!!

  • That was like.. The greatest fu**ing solo i have ever heared in my life. It was play by heart not by hands. While i was listening to the song first time i was like "Whaaaa". I'm so glad those guys are coming to Serbia this summer.

    Carry on, Black Sabbath!

  • @TheLolmanization theyre also doing a new album idk if you knew or not

  • @MrMike6604 Yeah, i knew that ;) .

  • havent heard this song in years!!! i love it!!

haNDS down best album by black sabbath

  • @4TEENMason88 The 3 first albums are best in different ways, just my opinion.

  • 11 people didnt get the warning, dumbfucks need to be taught a lesson now! REDRUM

  • cannot believe that the "critics" panned Sabbath in the early days. Proof that most people want stuff that simply tastes good, rather THAN have stuff that's IN "good taste."

  • the original lyrics say "I was WARNED about you babe..." not "BORN" hence the name warning lol

  • In my younger days I only listened to rock-genres. There was alot of Black Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth, and so on. The two songs that got me into this phase was Judas Priest's Breaking the Law, and Sabbath's Paranoid.

Nowadays I mostly listen to fusion, house, hiphop, funk and electronica (mostly songs made in the 90s or early 00s), and I also make my own music.

My rock phase of life is behind me, and I don't know if it'll come back,

but I still listen to Black Sabbath and Alice in Chains.

  • probably my fav BS track

  • You know why the song was named Waring right?

To let you know your brain might explode from sheer epicness. And everything you listen to after listening to this may sound like shit for a great while until you forget this song, but you can't forget the song, so everything will always sound like shit after this.

  • @SLAYERMETALLICA357 i think the idea was that ozzy didn't head the warning signs that the relationship wasn't going to work

  • This song reminds me of 2009, I still <3 it. =]

  • 11 people are Dio fans. It's cool. It's a free country, live like you wanna live...

  • @Hister333 you're moron. Ozzy and Dio are two different styles. But Black Sabbath fan is still the fan despite who is vocalist. And youtube is a global not county portal.

  • @SynZebedeusza You'll get over it.

  • lol 2012 likes.... and we are almost at 2012

  • If anyone wants to hear the original, by The Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation, I have it uploaded, go look in my videos.

  • @karlmoles65 erm thanks but no thanks.... Jokes, I'll check it out :)

  • @gunslinga19 Haha, awesome.

  • i'll give you my opinion about black sabbath to me is horror films. dracula, the ghost from 1700's the old vampire, cristopher lee come back from the grave as the count. like the great tonnyiomy.horror express, revengeful ghost,el santo against the vampire womans the tomb

  • What a bass line !

  • Rockin out with Satan. Aw yeah.

  • @Mytholgylove

STFU this song isn't about Satan!

  • @StonesFloydZepPurple

Pretty sure comments are for the purpose of the audience to say whatever they want. If you don't like my opinion, that's your problem.

  • @Mytholgylove

Fair enough. But them sayings in general(bout metal) pi** me off to so much, there so stereotypical!

  • @StonesFloydZepPurple

Well they DO mention the devil an awful lot, their name is even Black Sabbath!

    Can you blame me? :C

  • @Mytholgylove

Yeah but most of the stuff about them is assumed...which is wrong

  • @Mytholgylove ..Black Sabbth was a film back in the 60's. Starred Boris Karloff..That was the Inspiration for the band name..They had tostop using EARTH as it was already a band..They dont glorify stan at all..Listen to their lyrics..Alot are pro god/ christian..but gloom and doom is a part of life as well..thats what they write about..Dig It

  • @halford3256 Who is Stan?

  • @killtrosity ..satan..;)

  • I am having fun tapping this replay button! :)

  • I'm guitar player but this, dang! this song makes me want to learn bass, too! so sweet! =D

  • @91nickt i love playing bass to this

  • @TheDarkLordEthan yeah, makes me want to learn

  • and that "dream" became reality

  • My feelings were a little bit too strong I suppose! :/

  • Man, on bass you can just jam anything in this song (mostly in the key of (G?) excluding the main beginning/end riff)! It's really a fun song to jam along to.

  • bought this album and first discovered sabs in 1970 at age 15. Its still a brilliant unique album and literally a studio live recording - took just 2 or 3 days I believe. I've seen them live 35 times and after dio's passing thought that was the end of it all so I'm really pleased that Ozzy's back. Hope that the new material is going to hold up as these guys are now getting on a bit just like me!

  • wo, I just set 666 in the views not together but they in there such a frequent number for me 396,606

  • well wtf I believed sabbath wrote this all this time feels like lyrics theyd write...still fuckin rules that bass is enough to melt Gods vagina in half and vocals to set hell on fire. ya set hell on fire

  • 2:56 Sorrow grips my voice as I stand here all alone

and watch you slowly puff away the last bit of my bone ...

  • You can always tell it's gonna be a great song when Geezer's bass is the first thing that you hear.

  • 5.20...orgasm :)

  • @arzachel79 6:20 second orgasm; 9:04 third orgasm :D

  • they invented the internet so could sit hear and jam to Sabbath on my pc, without having to change cd's I guess

  • @dsmallwood2112 And COD

  • great quality, sounds very good

  • this is the 1st album by black sabbath which is just a great work of heavy blues you could say, this is a cover of ansyls dunbar group good drummer aswell...

  • A rock masterpiece. As a matter of fact, this whole album rocked, and still does!

  • Comment removed

  • man, i missed the sound of black sabbath when ozz left!

  • Some of Tonys best work love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i wish there was a 10 hour version of this not something fucking retarded like nyan cat

  • Love the sound of this LP........

  • this was a breakthrough album-no other sabbath album has this much depth.Officially brought in new, darker sound to rock music.Yes,this is a cover of another song-but this is the band that made the dark sound so popular

  • This has got to be the classic version of this number - but it was an Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation original of a few years earlier which most people have never heard- did they ever get their financial dues ? I doubt it. that is show business for you.

  • Tony's playing on this record is absolutely killer! He was one of the very best blues/rock guitarists of that era. Bought this LP when I was 18 years old . 59 and still listening! to it!.

  • @realityfrominsanity OMG?!?! Really? That is an awesome factoid.

  • @realityfrominsanity Wow , thats a big oops !

  • @realityfrominsanity lol. the Ansley Dunbar lyrics make so much more sense! I was like wtf are you talking about Ozzy?
