  • Can't believe I found this!

    True Band

  • thanks! awesome band!!

  • Valerie, where are you?

  • I WANT A TIME MASCHINE TO GO BACK

  • One of my favourite bands of all time :)

  • They always leaves me speechless!!!!

  • Love it just love. Is there any more where this gem came from??????

  • stingrays rock

  • Heyah, many thanks. The Stingrays where part of my youth in the 80s, rock on!

  • Awesome. I want it, where is it coming from?

    FYI, the members were:

    - Vocals: Bal (Alex) Croce, now in Earls of Suave

    - 12 Strings Guitar (normally on Drums): Alec Palao, now a music consultant at Ace Records, see the latest releases of the Nuggets

    - Guitar: Mark Hosking, now in Earls of Suave and the Flaming Stars

    - Double Bass: Johnny Bridgewood , now playing with Morrissey

  • OK ,so not the best band in the world !but they did have some cracking good tunes! this band were a big influence on me,always down to earth, unpretenious and enthusiastic about what they did .Far too clever for the psychobillies, not authentic enough for the dull minded 60's scene kids, they never really fitted into any niche(the 80's was all about fucking niches wasnt it)Their cover versions introduced us to bands we might not of heard of -13th Floor elevators, love, wire, joy division.thanks lads!

  • Thank you for makin my day! Brilliant!

  • That made my day! Thanks a lot!

  • where did this come from? wow!

  • London - Crouch End - Bal still drives his Sedan throu Nag's head when he can afford some gas. The drummer/guitar player moved to LOSNAGleles some 150 years ago (well feels like it) First album is brill.

  • drummer is in San Francisco area

  • ye I know...he has a sun tan whereas the others are still pale white...BAL drives his big CHEVEY up the Holloway road sometimes..or maybe it's a HILLMAN?? I dunno...ALEC looks like KLAUS NOMI in this video...uh..

  • Klaus Nomi :-) Lol

  • SHIT I can't believe I EVEN WROTE that...Klaus NOMI ahaha ahah sorry STING RAYS...I'm so mean sometimes...Klaus NOMI ! he was a pioneer...I shoulda say BELA LUGOSI but Klaus came to mind...actually it;s a shame he's dead...maybe he woulda done some good music later on in life...cool...

  • Are Bal still active with the Earls?

  • I dunno, I actually never seen them live. Maybe best to check if they have My Space...Also, totally by chance...in the early nineties I think I saw a Tv prog all about FIFTIES MOVIES and OBSCURE FLICKS...BAL was presenting it ??? It was fooking great...didn't last on the box...The schedulers in GB are a bit dum...they'd rather have BRUCE FORCEPS doing generation game or lots of football as opposed to genius/singer/songwriter like BAL doing something totally outstanding FUCK

  • Ok, tx a lot. will try looking at those other suggestions.

  • Thanx !!!

  • fuckin classic

  • This is really great stuff!!!! :-)
