its going to be a sad day when the a340-600 are not flying no more.With the B787s and A350s takeing to the skys and they will domenate the airways in the near future.The only 4 holers will be the A380's and B747's.Its to bad they wont be around in another 10 years or so.Great airplane..

@MrJwill919 Delta never bought a single Airbus and never will. They have the best prices and discounts at Boeing. I think there are special relations between Delta and Boeing so that Airbus will not have a chance to sell a single plane in the next years.............

@skylineXpert No you don't have to. It's a possibility to get your pilot's licence at the airforce and fly for an airline a few yeas later, but it's not a requirement.

Most of the airline-pilots get their ATPL (air transport pilot licence) paid by the airline they're going to fly for ;)

And it doesn't take that much time ;) The education takes about 2-3 years.

Here in Brazil, i live in an apartment that stays at 500 ft of an international airport. Someday i was spotting airplanes in my window and i saw a A330-200 taking off, i felt the ground shake. I just said, damn it! And now i wonder what i would say if i see one of these A340 taking off there.
