The reverb is really creepy on this recording when your talking about powered speakers listen on some monitors or headphones its scary 0_o sounds like someone copying you talking and whispering everything back!

I find powered speakers are great for smaller events, house/backyard parties and that sort of thing. Large Speakers without built-in amps are for sound reinforcement and large events. I find too much bass is not good for house parties/backyard parties. All you really need is good set of powered 12" or 15" speakers, no subs needed. For large areas, you need more bass than other sounds, so large speakers and a ton of power always work best.

@jamiev4 I have used the Mackie srm 450s and they pump out quite a bit of good clear well bodied sound up to pretty loud settings. Albeit Ive retired those to my home setup but for mobile applications I now use the Bose L1 model 1 dual bass package for mobile applications and when properly situated even in oddly configured rooms it sounds absolutely amazing.

The divorce settlement he's been going through, has been going on a very long time, and predates his current relationship, that's my understanding. It's been a hard road for J. Divorces can sometimes be a blessing, but theyre just hidden until its all finalised etc. The grass is greener on the other side as they say... I think they is coldplay in one of their songs. Anyways.... I think i'd go for a powerd speaker if they could match what i have. Atm, i've got 2 Peavey speakers that are 500 watts aside, but theyre the same size as my old RCL 250 watts. It's just brilliant.

@DjHECKTIK You won't see much difference on sound quality if the two songs are encoded at the same rate. I encode my songs at a least 192k but go with 256 or 320 mp3. Wave has best sound but take up the most space. The only difference is USB has a bigger storage for songs.
