@Lodine66 that's talking out of a lot of ignorance...many people have healed from many acute & chronic conditions--& it's only in the USA--where the AMA gave up healing & curing for the far more profitable treating & managing disease that HBOT is all that expensive...I'm a "miracle cure" of very cost effective HBOT treatment I had to leave the US to get --because of our high-cost health care system. HBOT costs about $8 for an hour in England & less in other countries...& it works!

One of the things we are involved with now is treating Veterans coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan who are suffering from mild traumatic brain injury and post traumatic stress disorder. .The stiffness diminishes, I feel great. Momentarily I feel like a superhuman, it's not long enough to tell if the phobias ho away but I feel joy and peaceful for a few minutes, but doesn't last of course. Is this a sign that hbot is something that could truly help? I have a question. I have a neck injury caused by head trauma, need a lot of help with the pain and also since then have had ongoing illnesses pop up, Addison's, hypothyroidism, constantly sick and tired, anxiety, phobias, agorophobia being one. When I do rapid deep breathing for a minute or more I can feel what feels like dead tissue in my neck and back "come to life" that's the only way I can describe it.

please ask questions about this. it notes that "its astounding effects on children with autism has just emerged." it doesn't cite any research, however--the slim research that has been done is biased, non peer-reviewed. (published in a pay-to-publish journal.) there are reasons why the bulk of the scientific community doesn't put much weight on HBOT as a "treatment" for autism. please do research.

If you experienced severe CO poisoning, you most likely experienced a brain injury.

We have treated stroke patients 8 years after their insult and still had good results.

No one should ever guarantee good results but from past experience I would say the chances are very promising.

There are long term neurological effects due to CO poisoning. It can affect your memory, brain function and your behavior. It can also cause permanent damage to other major organs within the body, such as the heart. I had a few minor poisonings (I'm a mechanic), I realized I had not a memory as good has I had few years ago. I was feeling depressed to witch can be a side effect of the poisonning too. With a few treatments, I noticed an improvement.

This is a shocking lie. I have just written a dissertation on the beneficial uses of hyperbaric oxygen and autism is not one of them.

it's to bad that you feel that way. Perhaps you are unaware of the science behind HBOT. Thank goodness not everyone shares your closed mindedness otherwise we wouldn't be treating diabetic wounds, CO poisoning, crush injuries etc with successful HBOT . Perhaps after we are finished with the study treating US vets with TBI and PTSD and the incredible results we're already starting to see, and Medicare accepting these ailments as a payable diagnosis, you will be a bit more open minded.

I bought an oxygen concentrator from vitality medical. They shipped it to me for free. I use it for oxygen therapy as well as with a hyperbaric chamber.
