@1834Benji No, we have hit some good size rocks, Usually it will spit them out and we have gotten the thing stuck once where we needed to use the backhoe to dig it out.
nice vid those lil post hole diggers are handy tools when u need one. the only problem that i find with em is that u buy em n u hook em up to ur tractor, use em, put it up, n it might sit for 20+ yrs before ul ever use it again
Nice video! If you want an easier way of putting posts in the ground, use a post driver. We have 128 Acres, and about...8 or 9 acres of pastures. We have to put new posts into the ground since some of them are rotting, so instead of using a post hole digger, were going to use a Post Driver. One brand I know of that makes these is King Hitter. My Neighbor uses them for his fencing and apparently, to him, they work better than having to drill a hole.
I am sure if u do not drill down to far and clean the auger ever few inches ...more or less ..you would never get stuck.. Being to brave will get u in trouble..
@LawnCareBusiness You don't need to really put much pressure down. The auger drills itself right in just fine. Honestly the hard part is if the auger does too good of a job drilling and you can't get it out! Had to use the backhoe a time or 2 to dig the PHD out when it's gotten stuck.
Thanks for the video,
Bill

@weldermaniacbob We got it stuck because it wedged itself around a rock. Nothing a backhoe couldn't fix.

Will that drill through tree stumps?
nandoGdog 1 year ago
@nandoGdog No it will not, it's meant for augering through soil. We use a backhoe to pop out tree stumps.
