ان يوسف لما شاهد الشمس قد أخفت اشعتها وحجاب الهيكل انشق لموت المخلص، دنا من بيلاطس وتضرَّع اليه صارخاً وقائلاً: أعطني هذا الغريب الذي منذ طفوليته تغرَّب كغريب، أعطني هذا الغريب الذي أستغربُ مشاهدتي اياه ضيفا للموت، أعطني هذا الغريب الذي يعرف أن يُقريَ الفقراء والغرباء، أعطني هذا الغريب الذي غرَّرَ به اليهود من العالم حسداً، أعطني هذا الغريب لكي اواريه في لحد ، الذي بما أنه غريبٌ ليس له أين يسند رأسه، أعطني هذا الغريب الذي لما رأته أُمه ميتا صرخت يا ابني والهي، ولئن ---يتبع

This chant is very sad and very diffifcult to chant. The best person to execute is Elias El-Murr my teacher from 1950-1954. I have this taped from 1950 where I chanted with Elias for Broad casting at the Beirut Radio Station . SEM/yazbeck can ecexcute far better. It need more torrid voice. The late Elias Kurban and Tripoli choir could have chant it better. I am not impressed bye the chanter.
