hey everybody, i just want to ask how hard ocarina of time is? just to compare i have beaten super mario 64. is ocarina of time harder?? ive just bougt it for 3ds. (sorry for my english) :D
I almost cried. I never actually beat the game and my bro couldnt get past the ghost temple thing so after about two years of waiting to see the ending I watched this. Made me pretty sad. I will NEVER forget all the epic memories of this game, it started my gaming love and it will allways be stuck in my heart as the fucking COOLIST game EVER! So so sad though. Im gonna miss this when it doesent even exist anymore :'(
This isn't just a game, it's a work of art. It's a beautiful story, beautiful music, unforgettable characters, it's a fun game you never get tired of. This game will be like one of those stories that gets passed down through generations. Honestly, if Nintendo kept remaking this game, I wouldn't mind. I'd keep buying and playing it. But I'll never forget the original that started my life as a gamer :')
The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time is the only game I have beaten so meney times I lost track. I remember playing on my n64 I was horrible cause I was so young.
@ColorBlindChick101 fuck off you vile peasant. How dare you disgrace the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time by refernecing a shoddy game made for pathetic sheep who judge everything on graphics.
Do you remember as a kid when video games were good? Sure they're still fun and all, no i mean that warm feeling when you entered a world as a kid that was exciting, adventurous, simple but became complex. When you stood in front of the master sword and built up the excitement. The love of fire and spirit, the frustration of water. And the greatest final boss atmosphere in the history of gaming. I have never loved another game as much as i love this game- signed, 5 year old inner child :')
this is a game that touches my heart no matter wat its one of the best games and thats why i have all the games and all the systems to play them on u rock ZELDA and dont u forge it!!!!
I was so sad that the game had to end =/, but fantastic memorable credits nevertheless! I especially liked the scene with the sages on top of death mountain, I still get goosebumps from that.
Anyone who says OoT was ahead of it's time, that's wrong. Because that would mean it can compete with games nowadays. Games now are really awful compared to OoT... CoD and Halo? No. OoT has no time, it's the Ocarina OF TIME.

@D3AtH19 Canonically it's Skyward Sword, Minish Cap and then Four Swords. Ocarina of Time and here it gets funky: the first timeline which is called the Adult (Ganon is sealed) leads to the Wind Waker and its spinoffs. The other timeline is called the Child and is when Link returns from the future and tells Zelda what will happen: Ganon is then jailed, Majora's Mask takes place and then Twilight Princess and Four Swords Adventure. The third one is if Link fails in OoT and Ganon--
@D3AtH19@D3AtH19 -- gets the entire Triforce. More war, Sages, blah blah, A Link to the Past occurs and then the two Oracle games and then Link's Awakening. I know, Nintendo really pulled this out of their asses - they could have just settled for excluding some games from the official timeline. Anyway, hope this helps.
@MrMakowako as an adult u must head down to the goron city and on the 2nd or 3rd level of the place there should be a small goron rolling in a circle u must hit with a bomb to stop him then talk to him and u get the heat resistant tunic (red tunic)
i've been reading most of the comments & like im guessing you guys dont know why in MM link was in the woods. Link was in the lost woods because he was looking for his friend (the kid with the mask!). That's why when he got knocked out & looked at him tried to jump him because he finally found him!!!
I cry every single time and I'm 19. It brings back so much memories. The Legend of Zelda was basically my childhood. i'd say out of all the the sages Saria's my favorite don't know why i guess cause she's so friendly and u can talk to her at any time if u do her song on the ocarina even when i played this as a child she's always been my favorite i just don't like her dungeon it's a pain in the bootay right up there w/ the water temple ZELDA OotT is way better then zelda TP
(link) ok so i saved the entire world hiked to the top of a volcano defeated a fire breathing dragon changed the water level 1000 times in an annoying water temple was almost killed by 2 giant decapitated hands beating on a drum and was almost frozen to the bone and burnt by these two witches and all i get is a Thank you and good bye and i don't get to keep this ocarina
(zelda) give the ocarina to me
(link) take it if that's all you care about biotch i'm outta here
theres one thing i like about zelda when you beat the game, like this one, it leaves you with a feeling that you want more outta the series. or is that something you should hate? majoras mask was nice i kinda liked it better than this game. and twilight princess kinda let me down with the mediocre bosses. but I hope to get wind waker soon. these are my thoughts on Zelda
i may love CoD but THIS game is much better! This needs to be made compatible with xbox or PS3 with nothing changed, not even the graphics although I found it disappointing at the end when you couldnt wonder around...
@SmileyGamingTV Um...its a Nintendo game. It wouldn't be on a xbox or play station. You can download it on the Wii virtual console or get the remake on 3DS though.
I remember about a year ago I played this game all the way through for the first time (yeah sue me, I was a little late I've seen it played through before but I never played it myself) and my now ex-boyfriend helped me out through this game. It was one of my fondest memories with him and I still love him and miss him. This game brought us together and now whenever I watch this ending, I cry because of how nostalgic it is and how much I miss and still love him. Thanks Ethan <3
I don't know guys but THIS freaking game marked my childhood and forever will be my favorite game. Really close to it is majora's mask. Some people doesn't like it but for me, everything about it was freaking genious. maybe it was an excuse to recycle character models but they did it right. I really was into it. I REALLy wanted to save termina. i loved all about it. That's why. Those 2 games are the best for me. And this link is the real link for me.
Whoa, wait. Mind rape. If Zelda sent link back to his original state, why is he seen putting the master sword back? Wouldn't he be in kokiri? Or did she just send him back in time so he could put the master sword in the pedestal?
@MichaelHaire0 Zelda sends Link back in time exactly before he goes to meet her in her young form for the very first time. But this time he doesn't go meet her with the spiritual stone, he goes to meet her to tell her what will happen in the future and to proof it he shows her the Triforce of Courage that's on the back of his hand. After that Zelda gives him the ocarina of time and sends him away from Hyrule to keep the ocarina safe.
@sheiksevensage she couldnt have sent him to the time of their first meeting, hes inside the room with the master sword, which he unlocked by using the spiritual stones. She sent him to the moment where he was gunna pick up the master sword for the first time but with ganondorf sealed away there was no need to pick it up. Link then leaves to look for navi and she just gives him the ocarina just in case anything happened to him, so he could use it to go back in time, like in majora's mask
@MichaelHaire0 the games are quite weird theres 3 timelines Timeline A If link fails to defeat ganon. timeline B (child era) zelda sends link to the past. Then theres timeline C (Adult era) where adult zelda seals off hyrule and floods it
ah i remember being obsessed with the sages and wanting malon and link to marry. to think think the first time i saw this ending was december 26 1998, thirteen years ago today i miss those days... at least i still have my n64 and legend of zelda ocarina of time game console :) <3
I don't know how this is going to sound to all of you, but I presonally think that Ocarina of Time is overrated. Sure, it's a great game and all, but in my opinion there are better Zelda, (and other games in general) out there.
And just last week I beat Skyward Sword, so it finally makes sense to me why Ganondorf was called the Evil Incarnation of Darkness in this cutscene.
What happens to Navi after Skyward sword? Which game is the real ending? I have played Ocarina time, Mojoras mask, and will play Skyward sword, but the story is realy realy confuseing because I don't know in which order the events of the whole story happens.
@noobkaka567 Well in Skyward Sword the Fairy it's not Navi but one fairy named Fi and Skyward Sword it's not part of the story of Ocarina of Time, the events in Majoras mask are after Ocarina of Time. It's not hard to see that cause in the beginning of Majoras Mask that mask guy (that I dont know the name) stole Link the Ocarina of Time I dont know how Link get it, maybe when he go see Zelda in the ending of OoT she gave it to him.
@noobkaka567 Skyward Sword is the first game in the storyline so far (not sure if it's the very first game). It's a prequel to Ocarina of Time and explains many things, including the origins of Ganondorf and the Master Sword. I recommend you play, it will answer many of your questions.
If you have any questions about the story, feel free to ask. ;)
Hey guys! Our names are Wintry, Odin and Ray. We do challenge runs of video games. We're currently doing our extreme restriction run of Ocarina of Time and would appreciate it if you checked us out!
When I have children, I'll make sure this will be the first game they play. Later, they'll get a new console which is able to show nice graphics. So, they'll see that you need no good graphics but a good gameplay/story to have fun.
A lot of games have nice graphics, but it's getting boring after a few days because it's always the same.
Today, Ocarina of Time is still a wonderful game and I want to play it all over the time.
I liked her, at times she gets annoying... buts its nothing to hate her, she's just doing her job. anyways the part when she leaves link ( 09:23 ) I cried like a bitch and screamed 'navi come back' :"D love this game <3
@MrMerchiodos You know that there's a glitch in the game where you can leave Navi at the Temple of Time, butt you can't do anything without her. So, quite literally, you NEED Navi to play the game.
Sometimes i would play zelda ocarina of time for minutes yet i feelt as though i had been in a place more beautiful then i ever could have imaged for a life time. As if part of my soul went into the game and really lived out links quest. i remember when i would feel sad or lonely i would turn on my N64 and play these sweet soft melodies over and over again to remind me i had a home"Hyrule"
it was as if time stoped when i played this game allowing me to experience true beauty. Thankyou Nintendo
@RyuuteamStudios of course they do they dont know what a game with with a good story is they just now how to shoot over and over and over again same thing over and over again BORRRINNNGGGG
@darkraven447 Exactly, my brother is one of them, he button mashes through the entirety of the dialogue on anything with a story just so he can kill stuff. I think people just need to get their brains back and play real games like Legend of Zelda or Final Fantasy
@RyuuteamStudios yea kinda bad they dont do games with a deep story that much anymore most of the games now gives like 5 hours of story and pretty much multiplayer later especially shooters dont get me wrong i like shooters but it gets boring after a couple of hours
if link went 7 yrs into the future what happened to the "orignal" him 7 yrs in the future? since he displaced himself...& why couldn't zelda get the "7 years older" link to save the world, why'd it have to be young link in the future?
OOT was more than just a game. It was a really significant part of my childhood. I'm currently playing Skyward Sword and it brings back memories from when I was a dumb 9 year old kid playing the greatest game of all time. Long live The Legend of Zelda!
No Link! do not go after Navi, if you go, there won't be a hero to fight against Ganon because he's going to escape from the Sacred Realm and goddesses will sink Hyrule into rain, all because of YOU, and then you will have to reborn to stop Ganon (again). Do you want that? I do not think so.
Who else reached the end, and watched it with a mixture of happiness and sadness?
I was happy, because it was finally over. Ganon had been defeated, Hyrule returned to the normal peaceful ways. Seeing everyone sing and dance in celebration litterally brought a smile to my face. But, it was sad that Link couldn't see Saria any longer, that he had to become a child again, and that Navi, as annoying as she was, left. Seeing Epona at the end, running by herself, was also sad.
amazing i love how everyone else has the same feeling as i do for this game you fall in love with the scenery and the characters ive kept hold of my n64 since 1998 because of this. best game EVER!!
To me, Ocarina of Time is every bit as important to children as the original Star Wars Trilogy. No kid should go without OoT. And neither should any adult, for that matter. True art.
This game is fucking phenomenal, something this powerful and ahead of its time is mind blowing. There is no fucking way a game will be made that can even come close to a masterpiece like this. The storyline, morals and progression setup is bloody amazing. Starting in the small forest and working your way to Ganon's castle, learning the truths about who and what. The feeling you get when you beat this game for the first time.
Watching this makes me tear up. There were the old times when Legend of Zelda was like the CoD or Battlefield today. It is and will always be the best game ever made. It will be the closest to our hearts and will be a piece out our childhood that can never be forgotten. Legend of Zelda is absolutely stunning in words unspeakable.

Link spends like the ENTIRE game to get Zelda, and than he only gets to talk to her for like 5 minutes and then he goes on with his life. Doesn't he AT LEAST get some hot action for all his hard work? And what does he do after he saves Zelda in these games anyhow? What, does he go fishing or something? Train people how to use a sword?
I fuckin' love Zelda, but this happens in all the games haha xD

theres one thing i like about zelda when you beat the game, like this one, it leaves you with a feeling that you want more outta the series. or is that something you should hate? majoras mask was nice i kinda liked it better than this game. and twilight princess kinda let me down with the mediocre bosses. but I hope to get wind waker soon. these are my thoughts on Zelda

i love the ending. i think that this game sets the plot for the other zelda games to come after it.

i may love CoD but THIS game is much better! This needs to be made compatible with xbox or PS3 with nothing changed, not even the graphics although I found it disappointing at the end when you couldnt wonder around...

WHy is there even people talking about COD?
I don't know guys but THIS freaking game marked my childhood and forever will be my favorite game. Really close to it is majora's mask. Some people doesn't like it but for me, everything about it was freaking genious. maybe it was an excuse to recycle character models but they did it right. I really was into it. I REALLy wanted to save termina. i loved all about it. That's why. Those 2 games are the best for me. And this link is the real link for me.

RoseColordBoxers 1 month ago
Whoa, wait. Mind rape. If Zelda sent link back to his original state, why is he seen putting the master sword back? Wouldn't he be in kokiri? Or did she just send him back in time so he could put the master sword in the pedestal?
MichaelHaire0 1 month ago 2
@MichaelHaire0 Zelda sends Link back in time exactly before he goes to meet her in her young form for the very first time. But this time he doesn't go meet her with the spiritual stone, he goes to meet her to tell her what will happen in the future and to proof it he shows her the Triforce of Courage that's on the back of his hand. After that Zelda gives him the ocarina of time and sends him away from Hyrule to keep the ocarina safe.
sheiksevensage 1 month ago 7
@sheiksevensage mmm link is not looking for navi when he goes away from hyrule??
Rosati84 4 weeks ago
@sheiksevensage she couldnt have sent him to the time of their first meeting, hes inside the room with the master sword, which he unlocked by using the spiritual stones. She sent him to the moment where he was gunna pick up the master sword for the first time but with ganondorf sealed away there was no need to pick it up. Link then leaves to look for navi and she just gives him the ocarina just in case anything happened to him, so he could use it to go back in time, like in majora's mask
warisneverfalls 2 weeks ago
@MichaelHaire0 the games are quite weird theres 3 timelines Timeline A If link fails to defeat ganon. timeline B (child era) zelda sends link to the past. Then theres timeline C (Adult era) where adult zelda seals off hyrule and floods it

I still prefer OOT over SS, for the simple fact of the nostalgia playing this all those years ago. It will always be number 1.
Having said that, the end theme for Skyward Sword is the best end theme of any Zelda title...period.

I have played Ocarina time, Mojoras mask, and will play Skyward sword, but the story is realy realy confuseing because I don't know in which order the events of the whole story happens.
noobkaka567 1 month ago
@noobkaka567 Well in Skyward Sword the Fairy it's not Navi but one fairy named Fi and Skyward Sword it's not part of the story of Ocarina of Time, the events in Majoras mask are after Ocarina of Time. It's not hard to see that cause in the beginning of Majoras Mask that mask guy (that I dont know the name) stole Link the Ocarina of Time I dont know how Link get it, maybe when he go see Zelda in the ending of OoT she gave it to him.
MultiSuperChaos 1 month ago
@noobkaka567 Skyward Sword is the first game in the storyline so far (not sure if it's the very first game). It's a prequel to Ocarina of Time and explains many things, including the origins of Ganondorf and the Master Sword. I recommend you play, it will answer many of your questions.
If you have any questions about the story, feel free to ask. ;)

Today, Ocarina of Time is still a wonderful game and I want to play it all over the time.

it was as if time stoped when i played this game allowing me to experience true beauty. Thankyou Nintendo

rjkahlon 1 month ago
No Link! do not go after Navi, if you go, there won't be a hero to fight against Ganon because he's going to escape from the Sacred Realm and goddesses will sink Hyrule into rain, all because of YOU, and then you will have to reborn to stop Ganon (again). Do you want that? I do not think so.
uRnotRom 1 month ago
I'd put Mario 64, Golden Eye, and CS 1.6 up there.....but Ocarina of Time is the greatest game ever, if you ask me. I'd play it right now if I could.
