you forgot about the compression and codec issue (when you import your video files into your computer it is compressed into fullscreen even if you recorded in wide screen, my next comment will explain ways around this)

the easy button is stupid, it takes away control of the light and effects (just set the focus and exposure to manual and you'll be fine)

There should be a USB cable for the cam. A USB cam has a flat end which plugs into your computer's USB port. The other end plugs into the cam. The other two cables are for charging and hooking up to your TV.

Yes it is great as it is lightweight but also very high quality and good resolution. You can attach a fisheye lense, check out Utube vids

Well you can attach wide lenses, fisheye lenses etc but you have to follow some risky steps. Search YouTube for "Canon FS100 Fisheye Lense" and you will see you have to glue the lense on using a special glue and then attach it via threads. It can be removed, but I've heard stories of people not being able to remove it. Have a look.

The included software is terrible. You are better off using Nero or Roxio if you have a PC. The video files are in a ".MOD" format, but you can rename them to .MPEG of you wish. If you have a Mac, then just use iMovie & iDVD.

I got the canon Zr950, the MiniDv counterpart of this one. I like MiniDV because it dosnt compress. I've tried both, reccomend both, but if you are looking for higher quality and are planning to do more professional things, get the Canon ZR950, for more family, regular use, get the FS100
