I set my spare board up this way. Its fucken hard to push and you can feel the fast switch muscle fibres in your legs just going crazy when you do. But makes you have to sort your style out. if you dont stay centred you just can't skate the thing.

Long story short my friend hooked me up with a longboard and I loved it. Better than skating IMO. You may be getting confused with a "Cruising" type longboarder with a "downhill" type. I am the downhill type and i dont intend to do tricks neither do my friends, we just like to go fast.

@1041990 Trucks don't work without bushings. The hangar flops out of the pivot as soon as you lean/turn. At least in Indys/other straight pivot trucks and all reverse kingpin trucks. Haven't ridden any bent pivot trucks though, but I can't see it being any different.

@fallenangel9966 If you cut it too small your hanger will pop out of your pivot cup. Don't cut your bushings, that retarded. You'll have no control for the beginning of a turn and then instant hard resistance. Go buy some 79a Khiro bushings. They're really soft (Don't buy 73a, they just squish into nothing) and allow for perfect smooth turning. Also go buy some sliptape and put it on your board where you wheel bite. With bushings that soft you'll be wheel biting ALL the time.

the only revelant trucks to me are indys, venture and thunder. thunder and indy are pretty much the same except indys last longer but take a while to break in. ventures are the only low trucks that feel good in my opinion but i prefer indys. to each his own though

everybody there who says tighter trucks are better,when i started skateboarding i skated like epicly tight trucks,with just a little wobble,i really liked it,untill my bushings got fucked up,in like 3 days i learned to skate really loose trucks,and its real fun,even though i pop my tricks a little better with tight trucks, loose trucks make your style better,plus on loose trucks its alot easier to slide on 180,360 tricks,and its really fun,you start to get alot of balance
