  • . . . And that's why Mary went blind . . . Indian karma.

  • it's not fair, they were here first...

  • How u get a french indian?

  • Love you Mr. Edwards!

  • laura really is her father's child

  • Wow. We have it good! Can you imagine having to pluck the feathers from your own Thanksgiving turkey before you cook it?

  • @easlesonavon Country people still pluck feathers of animals or turkeys before they cook it.It is still a customs in little villages in countryside.

  • @easlesonavon

heh. First you had to catch it. Then you had to wring it's neck. Then you had to pluck it. But that's how you got feather pillows & feather beds.

  • love Carrie's face at 3:30 :)

  • Charles could have helped Caroline pluck the turkey, lol.

Mr. Edwards is so funny, lol.

  • "It's not fair. They were here first." AMEN TO THAT.

  • Won't Caroline washing the floor like that make the wood soggy and cause it to rot? I mean, it's not finished or anything.

  • @LMA629

She would've had to have thrown buckets of water on the floor & left it for it to do damage. I would imagine things like termites would've done more damage then her washing the floor would've.

  • anyone know what the indian said?

  • @StephanieGrace3793

"This amulet will give you luck"

  • awww laura is so cute! :)

  • love that mr edwardsis carrying snow shoes lol :)

  • @MsBristowSark: Yeah, and then he falls right into the icy water... yuck! :-D

  • Awww, the guy giving her an amulet for good fortune! :)

  • Ha! I love how in the midwest (U.S. and Canada) we all still jump up and go look outside whenever someone says "IT'S SNOWING!" Like it doesn't happen every year! We all still run and look.

  • Caroline deserves a bar of soap scrubbed in her mouth. Never liked her. Not even when I read the books in Grade 4.

    Bravo Laura. <3

  • Oh! Poor Mr. Edwards!!!!

  • I love their faces at 0:01!!!!

  • @GreasyPoontang Shut the h*** up!

  • I hate how this scene goes

    Ma- thank goodness he's gone

Charles- i thought he was kinda nice

    Ma- for an Indian.

I HATE HOW THEY DESCRIBE INDIANS IN THIS. THEY ARE PEOPLE LIKE US

  • @ThePinkie9 yea, but u have to remeber, this was a show set back in the day, and that is how they thought of them, you kno? i mean, they had never seen anybody except white ppl, and they were told horror stories of them. they were scared

  • @LovesMyJimmyStewart true....

  • @ThePinkie9 its not a description of indians "in this" it is reflective of the prevailing sentiment of that time, historically correct.

  • I think that the more correct term for the Native American in this instant is Metis not Indian

  • @tmuise11 metis are the french canadian indians, not all indians are metis, though

  • Gotta love it...LOL. Holstein calf out of a Longhorn cow. I love this show. One of my favorites, but the props people needed to come from the farm and ranch backgrounds.

  • its not fair. they were here first.

Its Christ's birthday not ours Charles.

the Neighbours foolhardily wadin thru the crick in his union suit!

  • Na, if Malissa had not been in Little House, it would not have been so heartfelt and beautiful as she helped make it, she's a Legend !

  • I wonder if Melissa Gilbert hadn't got the part in this show, would little house have been the show it was?

  • @Ellie26UK doubt it

  • jack is so cute

  • what the heck is Edwards thinking

  • well, you see he knows that the girls wont be having much of a christmas, and he is the SWEETEST man so he is making damn sure that those kind, and deserving girls get preasents and a happy christmas

  • I think the comment was about him trapsing nakers through the flooding crick, rather than finding a ford or knocking down a tree to cross. Mountain man oughto know better.

  • why didn't they invite the Pawnee's? friend in?

  • maybe they were going by the old ways when you mostly would do buisness and introduce yourself to the chief first. maybe..... im not sure.

  • Right. Smart pioneers would get the tribes on their side, make their own peace for their kin.
