I'm 7 months pregnant and I have been smoking ganja my entire pregnancy. I've had all the tests done to see if my daughter has any detectable mental disabilities and she has nothing wrong with her. She is normal size, all her organs have developed faster than normal, and according to the doctor if she was born now her lungs would already work on their own. I had chronic morning sickness through most of my pregnancy and smoking weed is all that kept my food down. Marijuana is a gift, not a drug.

The day I found out I was pregnant I went from a pack a day cigarette smoker to zero a day after 10 years of smoking. Smoking any type of substance interferes with the fetus's blood supply. This can mean the fetus doesn't get enough oxygen, and s/he may be born smaller in both weight and length. Smaller babies have a higher risk of other problems after birth, such as infections, severe jaundice, difficulty feeding, breathing problems, low blood sugar, etc....

Drinking while pregnant? Well, that ones a givin. Everyone knows alcohol affects our very own livers and stomach, so why would you even WANT to drink while pregnant? Even if it is in moderation, alchohol generally has no purpose but to get someone warm, fuzzy, and drunk. My suggestion is just to hold off for the nine months.

I have heard people say, if it's in your system, they will take away your child. That's untrue. They will not. I have been told by my very own prenatal nurse that the only reason they will take away your child is if things like pills or man made narcotics show up in your system. I wouldn't have been able to gain the weight I need to without it. I was 109 lbs when I was first pregnant. Doc said I needed to gain about five pounds, and min. Without the weed, there is no way in the world I would have been able to. I was nauseous constantly and had a empty appetite of NOTHING.

I smoked marijuana during my first pregnancy and my son did not have any deformations of the face or mental problems. i smoked about a bowl a day until i could eat on my own..so between 2 weeks and 12 weeks i smoked everyday for morning sickness. my friends have also smoked during their pregnancy and her children are fine and well also. i believe marijuana does not harm the fetus like cigs and alcohol or illicit man made drugs can. an Amniocentesis can see if ur child developed any deformities!!

I'm pregnant. I'm just now entering the second trimester, and I smoked weed throughout my first as well. I quit this last weekend, at my boyfriends insistence. I have several friends who smoked all through their pregnancies and to be perfectly frank, there is nothing wrong with any of their children. Actually, one of them, is the healthiest and smartest little girl I've ever met. That's all I have to say.
One last thing, I am not an advocate of smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol, or doing any other street drugs. Personally, I only smoke medicinal as I know who it comes from, how they grow it, and that it is not laced with anything that might harm my child.

My pregnancy is progressing wonderfully and out baby seems to be completely healthy. If you're totally against marijuana while pregnant, then don't get pregnant and smoke. I'm pregnant and I smoke marijuana on occasion. Maybe once a week with my husband. I have been smoking since before I found out and stopped smoking so heavily, but not completely. It does help when I'm not feeling the best. My mother also smoked with me as well as my older brother and we both turned out fine. My brother is graduating from a 4 year college with a double major in biology as well as physics and I am nearly complete with my degree. I went to a four year college as well.

Smoking weed while being pregnant is not a good idea at all. You shouldn't be smoking weed until you're at least 15. It's better to wait even longer. When you're young your brain develops a lot and weed fucks with that if your brain ain't developed fully. And a BABY is developing it's brain MUCH, MUCH, MUCH faster then a 10 yearold. I knew a couple who got a new puppy. They were regular stoners, they always blew smoke in the puppies' face. They did it for years, and when the puppy was only 3 it looked like it was in it's later years; sick, feeble, lazy, and fat... My mother smoked while pregnant with me and I am relatively normal. My friends all smoked with their children and although none of them are over the age of 2, they seem fine as well. I am pregnant now and haven't touched any drugs. I would say that you really shouldn't if you can help it and that it's Russian Roulette basically. You don't know what X amount of a substance will do on X day of development. I think it's much worse to drink and smoke cigarettes though.
I have a huge family and most of my family smoke weed. I have seen first hand that weed will in fact hurt the child. as in learning disabilities and the such. I do understand that it helps with ordinary everday life as I used to smoke a lot myself (but since I had a choice between my job and weed, I chose my job) I guess my main comment is that if you want to take this chance on raising a chile with disabilities that seem normal at the moment, it is your choice. as long as you don't give up
I just found out that I'm 5 wks preggo and also continue to smoke weed to handle the harshness of all day sickness. Watching other people doing the same thing is making me feel less guilty and more aware that there are other women out there going through the same thing as me. So thanks for posting this video.
i totally agree with you. couldnt have made it through my pregnancy without smoking weed, it helped with sickness, makes you eat more if you are having trouble eating etc. i read as long as your not smoking over 5 grams a day that it will not effect the fetus.

I smoke half a joint a day usually just before dinner. Not enough to get really high but just enough to feel hungry. I'm 7 months pregnant and I have been smoking ganja my entire pregnancy. I've had all the tests done to see if my daughter has any detectable mental disabilities and she has nothing wrong with her. She is normal size, all her organs have developed faster than normal, and according to the doctor if she was born now her lungs would already work on their own. I had chronic morning sickness through most of my pregnancy and smoking weed is all that kept my food down. Marijuana is a gift, not a drug.

I smoke marijuana when I need it, like for example when I just got done vomiting from morning sickness and I know I NEED to eat something but have absolutely NO appetite at all, it gives me an appetite. Smoking anything during pregnancy deprives the fetus of oxygen. Just as smoking tobacco is discouraged in pregnant women, so is smoking marijuana. Smoking any type of substance interferes with the fetus's blood supply. This can mean the fetus doesn't get enough oxygen, and s/he may be born smaller in both weight and length. Smaller babies have a higher risk of other problems after birth, such as infections, severe jaundice, difficulty feeding, breathing problems, low blood sugar, etc....

The people around them, they get the rest.. Most children born woman who smoke cigs during pregnancy generally are born premature, low birth weight, under developed lungs, or with jaundice, etc. My friends mother smoked only a couple cigs off her husbands cig butts a day, and her son was born with jaundice and was yellow and had a low immune system for quite a while. Smoking marijuana can only be harmful in two ways.

I have been told by my very own prenatal nurse that the only reason they will take away your child is if things like pills or man made narcotics show up in your system. I smoked marijuana during my first pregnancy and my son did not have any deformations of the face or mental problems. i smoked about a bowl a day until i could eat on my own..so between 2 weeks and 12 weeks i smoked everyday for morning sickness. my friends have also smoked during their pregnancy and her children are fine and well also. i believe marijuana does not harm the fetus like cigs and alcohol or illicit man made drugs can. an Amniocentesis can see if ur child developed any deformities!!

I have several friends who smoked all through their pregnancies and to be perfectly frank, there is nothing wrong with any of their children. Smoking weed while being pregnant is not a good idea at all. You shouldn't be smoking weed until you're at least 15. It's better to wait even longer. When you're young your brain develops a lot and weed fucks with that if your brain ain't developed fully. And a BABY is developing it's brain MUCH, MUCH, MUCH faster then a 10 yearold. If I remember correctly, it does so you can't focus properly. So no, don't smoke weed while being pregnant. STUPID IDEA.

I knew a couple who got a new puppy. They were regular stoners, they always blew smoke in the puppies' face. They did it for years, and when the puppy was only 3 it looked like it was in it's later years; sick, feeble, lazy, and fat... Smoking ruined that dogs life, and it had no control or understanding of what was being done to it. Smoking weed while your pregnant is totally your call, but understand it WILL have a gigantic effect on your kid.

check out Melanie Dreher's research on pregnant Jamaican women it says it all and go figure its not included in our usa studies involving marijuana use... it is proven to be less dangerous than cigarette use during pregnancy. and there is literally no difference between users and non-users of marijuana......... so do what you will all of you say what you will but the facts show what the facts show and just for further input on my view i smoked lightly with my first child and she is smart&normal

My mother smoked while pregnant with me and I am relatively normal. My friends all smoked with their children and although none of them are over the age of 2, they seem fine as well. I am pregnant now and haven't touched any drugs. I would say that you really shouldn't if you can help it and that it's Russian Roulette basically. You don't know what X amount of a substance will do on X day of development. I think it's much worse to drink and smoke cigarettes though.

I have a huge family and most of my family smoke weed. I have seen first hand that weed will in fact hurt the child. as in learning disabilities and the such. I do understand that it helps with ordinary everday life as I used to smoke a lot myself (but since I had a choice between my job and weed, I chose my job) I guess my main comment is that if you want to take this chance on raising a chile with disabilities that seem normal at the moment, it is your choice. as long as you don't give up

I just found out that I'm 5 wks preggo and also continue to smoke weed to handle the harshness of all day sickness. Watching other people doing the same thing is making me feel less guilty and more aware that there are other women out there going through the same thing as me. So thanks for posting this video.

i totally agree with you. couldnt have made it through my pregnancy without smoking weed, it helped with sickness, makes you eat more if you are having trouble eating etc. i read as long as your not smoking over 5 grams a day that it will not effect the fetus.

hello!!! I am 19 and 7 weeks pregnant with my first child. i'm feeling the harsh effects of morning sickness and it is hard for me to eat more then a few bites of any meal. I smoke half a joint a day usually just before dinner. Not enough to get really high but just enough to feel hungry. I believe as long as you are not overdoing it and you are not smoking tobacco and you quite as soon as your over your morning sickness there is no reasons in all my research to suggest any ill effects.
