When you're not a 1st round pick and you don't come with a lot of hype, you don't the same opportunities. When Thomas tried out for the US U-20 team, he was the best goaltender in camp. They cut him and took the guys who were high draft picks that sucked in camp and sucked in the tournament. He never got a shot in the NHL because his teams drafted goalies in higher rounds.

Ill tell you why he is under rated. sure he makes some great saves like that but he also lets the easy ones in....hes not cosistent. he doesnt come through when its really important.

I live in Calgary so obviously I cheer for the flames, however you need to give credit where it's due and Thomas is a great goalie. This was an insane save, and watching him play, he comes up with big saves a lot.

Okay so a league leading .930 Saves % which is the most important stat for goaltenders and people think he is the worse goaltender. I don't know what people have against this guy but I will give Kudos to the people posting positive comments about Tim.

for someone who 'knows their hockey', you sure are pretty fucking dumb. the bruins goaltending is their most redeaming aspect. the Bottom of the barrel? they're 7th in the eastern conference (putting them in the upper half) and had 4 all stars this year....one of them being thomas, who was the winning goalie of the game while, another being Chara who started and Savard, who had the game winning goal. thomas also has the best save percentage in the league. you're a retard
