Camshaft position syncronizer squeaking, '98 3.8 Mustang - outside car

Mines had this problem for a while actually... For some reason or another its less loud and less frequent but I know it still needs to be changed out. I just wonder why the sound has diminished.

Have the same problem in my mustang. It appears ford's sensors are shit.

@Ninjadelusion Note that it's not the sensor that's broken here, but the syncronizer -- the thing that the sensor monitors. Did you get it fixed?

@jonathanstotts I got it fixed. It was a bunch of things that blew up on me at once. In the past month I had to have my catalytic converter, camshaft sensor, DPFE sensor, and my EGR valve....

And then it began to stall when idle and misfire violently and made even more engine noise. I couldn't figure this last thing out for shit. Last night it magically fixed itself and the check light went out... It's been quite a hassle lately. Cant believe all that shit happened at once

@Ninjadelusion Amen I am going threw the same thing as well i think Ford needs to do a Recall and Fix there mistake, 20,000.00 for 03 mustang nine years ago, they made billions of dollars off there cheap ass parts!
