You may not know that the words in Sarti's piece were not written by Sarti, the words of the song come from an anonymously written poem. Take a listen to Sarti and you'll see it's different.

in response to bold1970. Opera is not defined as someone singing with a dark tone, nor with excessive vibrato. The piece she chose was composed in the operatic style, and the fact that her voice is not that of a 40 year old well-trained soprano does not make it any less so.

@arronishott Actually, a common misconception of operatic vocalization: dark tone is correct opera tone. Too dark or too bright is incorrect. The "tone" actually has to do with the language. Also "excessive" vibratto is true and correct vibratto, which is the outcome of correct breath support. Also, you don't have to be old to have vibratto. Correct vibratto reflects a mature voice. I'm 16 and i have a vibratto.,, Opera is music, and pop is music, but we all need to understand the distinctions.

The higher you sing the more you seem to tense up which is also bad for your vocal chords and intonation and can leave you unable to sing by the time you are 35. Please loosen up the tension in your neck the higher you go to prevent this. Simply moving your head around like a "bobble-head" doll can work wonders. Also lowering your jaw in the higher register puts your larynx in a happy place to sing those notes as well. If you actually read this, I hope it helps :)

Okay, sweetheart, you need to breathe from the middle and lower part of your torso to have enough support on the higher notes and not let your ribs collapse. Also, opening your mouth more on the "a" vowels will produce more sound and be mindful of syllabic stress. In Italian, putting the wrong stress on the wrong syllable completely changes the meaning of the word.
