A lot like most other BBC presentation in the 1980s - the idea of forcing everything to use the same "corporate identity" or house style would have been anathema. The initials "BBC" were considered to be enough of a corporate identity in themselves, I guess. Remember when BBC1 and BBC2 looked completely different and the only time the BBC logo regularly appeared on screen was on the copyright slides at the end of programme credits?
