They reworked the scaling system on the 400 series. it can better adapt to intense situations in games. and its pushing out 34 billion pixels a second by default (OC means more of course) and the memory size is the biggest that has come in a DDR5 variant so it can hold its own framerates in intense situations.

@vegasblahman I always run with VSync off and this is a variable FPS benchmark. I just have the 1200W so I'll have plenty of room for whatever else comes down the line. I also love Antec products.

You have a watercooling loop going just buy four gtx480 water blocks and another gtx 480 nothing could stand in the way of your machine if you did that

If you have time/interest, can you show a 1920x1200 comparison? I'm trying to decide if I should go GTX 480 SLI, but I would not be using as high of a resolution as you. I'm wondering how good the scaling would be at a lower res.

It's definitely going to be more fps vs 1920x1200 at lower resolution since it takes less memory and power vs the higher resolution.

@TylertheGeek28 I don't know yet. If I decide to overclock the cards I might. But I don't know if I'm gonna overclock them yet. They're running at stock frequency and they're still faster than my 295s even when they were overclocked. So I might just leave them the way they are.

Liquid cooling them is gonna be a pain in the ass because I'm gonna have to drain all of the coolant and refill it. I'm having a hard time finding waterblocks for the 480s anyway. Dont know if the others will fit them

@CPUMaster500 true thats one thing i don't like about water cooling, having to drain & clean the loop, so far I've only seen blocks for those cards from Koolance and i think i saw one from Danger Den but I'm not sure, yeah u would probably be ok, just stick a fan behind them or some thing like that.

@SirJamesDDJ Truthfully when i played the demo i wasn't impressed, cus i didnt really get the game, then i watched some vids on you tube and saw some of the stuff people were doing in it, and thought id give the full game a try, and i really liked it, its kinda like a gta4 or mercenaries 2, you basicaly just blow stuff up and screw about, the word is huge also.

Cuda water looks awesome and maxed out its a very demanding.

Give the demo a try if not just to run the benchmark.

Dude, the scaling percentage is huge, so much more compared to CFX and former SLI setups. That's why it's so impressive.

@nairb2693 Yes, I know. But it seems like there is a 50% increase here. And I think the 5970 beats it. I don't know with how much or if it does because I can't find any benchmarks with two 5970's in CFX. Sure it's a very good increase, but it seems like it's been way to over hyped.

Most people with dual/tri or quad setups only have 1920x1200 monitors! what a waste! If I may ask, could you put the resolution you run in each video in the video description? That way we can all be sure what rez you run it at, I know sometimes you run at 1920x1200, thanks!
