usually in 48 hour film festivals the filmmakers are given prompts. and to qualify their film must follow the prompt guidelines. this helps ensure that the videos being created by the filmmakers were within 48 hours - not before.
if there were no prompts given, then whos to say you didnt the video before the festival began.
@VanBurleigh : ah the rules you mean? if so, it says it right in the beginning of the film: Actor: Alex Filbert, Prop: Junkmail, and Line: "how was I supposed to know", and the genre we picked out of the hat was Musical or Western, in which we went with Western.
@44Bogdan11 : lol, made it from garage band... i highly doubt Nolan's team would use same program with the things they can do. thanks for referencing it to such a great film though!
@Faithsmitty when you use a 35mm adapter and a 50mm lens wide open at 1.8. You get this thing called shallow depth of field which most filmmakers aim to get as it creates separation between your subject and background/foreground. Being that we shot primarily gorilla, no sticks, and follow focus, it was hard to maintain constant focus through out while shooting a moving subject. The shots we used that were out of focus and the refocused into the subject is called a rack focus. Shot purposely
this was great. 6:25 "whoops" *flipsgun into holster* XD
