  • The baby in the womb

  • What is music or art is all a matter of perception, to the one who is listening or viewing, just let the two take you to places in your mind, whether it is the past present or future, as for, me, listening to Steve Roach’s “The Memory” takes me to the place of the whales.

  • @phman53

touche' phman53, currently channeling the whales myself, would like to take them with me and swim to work

  • Great music!

  • Contemplation,

  • Steve roach is just amazing... copying the sounds/vibrations he felt in the higher Dimensions! I Have just released my spiritual fiction book "We Have Each Other" which involve spiritual visions by some teens who are living alone in northern England (everyone fled south due to a storm) they end up having to warn humanity not to maltreat their planet. For more information, plot synopsis, and the lulu online order link please go to wehaveeachother co uk (replace the dots), i hope you all enjoy :)

  • Intotdeauna muzica Irina...

  • SADDEST SONG IN THE UNIVERSE :( but I love it all the same.

  • Expansive, contemplative, blissful, relaxing, dreamy. Beautiful ambient soundscape.

  • this music reminds me of space mountain at disney world! :D

  • Some of us here will make it to an old age, decades from now, find this song again and let the waves of memory wash over you...it will be the most beautiful thing you ever hear.

  • @TheGrinninMan - Totally agree!! ...this track is timeless and the pic with it is perfect!

  • @TheGrinninMan I hope so my friend. Check out the equally beautiful "Held Together By Gravity" By Carbon Based Lifeforms. It's here on youtube. The accompanying video is breathtaking.

  • @TheGrinninMan ...you are one in touch with light and love. Peace.

  • Right now all I can do is close my eyes and reach back to memories I have loved in the past.

  • Beautiful

  • my heart aches just listening to this...

  • Une musique paisible

    Qui oblige à s'arrêter

    A observer

A prendre conscience du moment présent

    I love you all !!!

  • @Universalecstasy ...not gonna argue theology here, but I get your drift.

  • @Universalecstasy I love you too!

  • Comment removed

  • @Universalecstasy Well, that is a matter of one's personal diluted ignorant opinion. If i were God, i would be 100% perfect, sinless, omnipresent, a savior of mankind, all knowing, all powerful and never had a beginning, eternal. Honestly...

  • @NanoPlinket KNOW THY SELF

  • @Universalecstasy amen. we are all the architects and designers of this realm we divine ourselves in. The gods. It brings me peace that i have finally found others who have synchronized themselves around this concept as well. So thank you for that and all who agree.

  • @Universalecstasy What? What do you mean? How would you be able to justify that?

  • So quiet and peaceful. Makes me want to write a sci-fi novel. =)

  • @GhengopelALPHA just fascinated to know. what would it be about?

  • @poorlymadeproduction Oh, I'm not sure yet. It might be about creatures called Meonicans... that's all I'm gonna say about it. If you want to know more about it, follow me on twitter: @KingJulian00

About 10% of my tweets are about my sci-fi imaginations. XD

  • Whenever God wants to relax he listens to Steve Roach.

  • Some of the most hauntingly beautiful music I've ever heard.

  • This is the kind of flow that I aspire to someday achieve.

  • By some strange chance I was looking at photos of Japan (pre-earthquake) and this came on Pandora. A truly moving moment honestly.

  • I mostly enjoy rock music but have always had a place for hearts of space. It comes on every Sunday night on the public radio channel. A great way to go to bed early and unwind. The hosts voice just soothes my soul.

  • Mankind Music for Amazing Minds.

  • Just reading comments on this track inspires me. It's nice to know that there are so many like-minded people out there. Open minded and open hearted. Thx to you out there on the other side of the screen.

  • if music helps plants grow then i think it was music like this that caused evolution ;)

a kind of comforting lullaby from god / gods. i feel like i just drank the nicest cup of scullcap/valerian root after a hot bath cuddling up in the fluffiest fleece blanket in front of a fireplace sipping hot cocoa forgetting about today passing out and doing it all over again tomorrow ;) these are songs that mother earth and father moon sing to us.

  • Beautiful and profound truly a musical masterpiece I feel deep emotions with I ii listen to this.

-Thank you Steve Roach for creating/expressing such an amazing art form.

  • It's like venturing to parallel worlds!

  • love the music ambient <3

  • The Hdo21, go to Wikipedia and look up Ekpyrotic Universe. I think it's the theory to which you're referring. It's my favorite too; dovetails nicely with my personal philosophy. Great music, I have this piece on one of his CDs.

    Enjoy!!

  • Steve's music is the "gold standard" for all ambient music. It is as if he channels his music directly from another realm of existence. I sleep very deeply with his music playing softly against my dreams.

  • Top-Twenty smooth and steady

  • This music reminds me of how fascinating our world actually is, with all its life and nature.

  • I've been listening to magnificent void since its release can't get enough, Steve is awesome.

  • i love the way this music is making everyone feel the need to philosiphise about the universe :P

  • ...:d(-__-)b:...

  • ƸӜƷ

  • I find it strange how I've started yawning a lot after listening to this and other previous songs like this. o.o I don't mean it in a bad way though.

  • Electronic Pads created from absolute scratch... without programs... without anything other than programming knowledge and a computer. Grand job Steven Roach, I envy you.

  • Music of love!

  • I discovered Steve Roach only a couple of years, but find his soundscapes endlessly fascinating. I can listen to the same piece over and over and find new ways to listen.

  • heey! i have this exact same picture used in one of my videos! ^-^

  • thank you 4 sharing this beautiful music with us - amazing picture btw.

  • I first heard this around the time my Grandfather died in 98. Simply brilliant! The only problem is on the CD you have to crank the volume to the max just to hear this at a normal audio level (at least on my copy). Does anyone else have that problem?Strange.

  • @greg71579

Yup, it's really quite track. But simply amazing and addicting.

  • Wonderful music !

  • Wonderfully beautiful and relaxing music. The image is fantastic and I have a feeling it was done in Bryce which is the 3D art software I have been using recently. Magnificent image. The music is perfect ! Thanks for putting this up.

  • "You are traveling through space, you are looking for somewhere to settle - it cannot be here".

  • I like so muchhhhh

  • really magnific

  • This music and this picture make me think of the inevitability of life. Very powerful song, deeply inspired and inspiring and full of feelings.

  • This is very nice, BUT if you like this you will LOVE "Carbon Based Lifeforms: 20 Minutes" :)

  • When I listen to this breathtaking song, it makes me think of lost dreams and lost love ones. And yet, it is so beautiful. ღ

  • Steve creates the exact type of ambient music that I love.

  • This is the music I heard in heaven

  • INCREIBLE MELODIA DE REFLEXION EXCELENTE MUSICA

  • This track just plain does something to your soul

  • Sounds and combinations of sounds have a direct effect with our brain frequecy specialy when they match , then you feel the effect of diferents animics levels. Or calm , angry , or many ideas fly thru your head while you 're inmobile. Many things may happen to you while under influence of sounds. Of course you have to let it take you.

  • Thought provoking gem. Good instrumental music and sounds don't require lyrics - it says everything with a given title.

  • Beautiful. Reminds me of a tamer version of the sounds taken from Jupiter.

  • Well, this doesn't come from any artistic will.

  • @ryanlike I dont even care, about your taste of music. Keep your opinion for your self!!

  • @ryanlike obvious troll is REAAALLLY obvious, you havnt even bothered favouriting any videos, and as if your from afghanistan!

for people who dont know what a troll is, its basically someone who leaves stupid comments on videos to try to make people angry and laugh at their reactions. just ignore them :0)

and as for the video, steve roach is amazing. its the only music iv ever known that actually helps headaches!

  • das ist ein guter abschluss für mein wochenende...*g*......dank dir!!!

  • good. song. best ever when you read. but i don´t get sentimental of it.

  • this is the music of our time and the future, here it is, look no further

  • I was tripping on LSD. My soul wept, while watching this video. It was a cathartic experience. "Dream body" was mind blowing: /watch?v=yMVMB9Ha6jo&fmt=18 Earthman was fantastic: /watch?v=60Erg2NbNW4

  • This song I'd like to dedicate toThe Memory of my

    BEST FRIEND "MIRANDA" who passed

    away 10/19/09

    I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!

  • I am so sorry to hear that? How did she die? I lost a friend this year to in May 2009, Sebastian Neale. He was 26 yrs old. How old was Miranda?

  • @RandyLahey100 May she rest in peace in a place far better than ours.

  • @RandyLahey100 Beautiful song i agree ~ nice last name :)

  • @roundtop64 nice last name indeed :)

  • I LOVE THIS!!

  • I first heard Steve Roach on the video game GrandTheftAutoIV his song 'arrival' is one of the songs that play on the radio in the game.

  • are you serious? i would have NEVER thought they would play steve on GrandtheftAuto.....

  • :D !!

  • GrandtheftAuto somehow caters to everyone in a media sense.

  • love the artwork as well as the music...set

on a moon orbiting an earthlike planet.

  • I dont understand why people fight over which music is best, if you were a true fan of music you would respect most genre's because they are aimed at getting a certain response from the listener.

  • hail 222sucram for his post.

  • lol is that meant to be sarcastic?

  • no, not at all. its true

  • j'attends avec impatience une collaboration de steve roach et klaus schulze , en europe si possible !

klaus & steve , quel concert ce serais !

  • Alot of his music was inspired by a Near-Death Experience he had after crashing his motorcycle. He then dedicated alot of time to recreating what he heard, "Structures from Silence" is a result of that experience.

  • @eatbigwinbig We can see how his music seems to be devoted to "inner peace" and is very spiritual in nature. This would explain his creative flow and possibly where it came from. I had no idea of his accident. Thanks for the information. Cheers!

  • Steve Roach is not just a musician

    he is a HEALER

  • Wonderful music as always!

  • memories hurt.

  • just close you eyes and listen sisters and brothers...namaste

  • Only an older, more evolved soul can truly appreciate where this music comes from. Such a soul does not seek chaos and dischord. Instead one seeks harmony and unity in life as it grows ever closer to the Father and eternal paradise...

  • only an older soul huh? I do believe you are quite wrong with that statement.

  • Uh-huh. I'll second that! Unless, of course, 17 is an "older, more evoked soul" - A reincarnation, perhaps?

  • You're already moving. On a planet around the sun. If you have no sense of a higher reality, you shouldn't be listening to Steve Roach...he'd likely sound quite dull to you.

  • Interesting how we judge time, and thus, memory. By means of the device of place, through movement, we sense moments. As moments progress by change of place, we retain memory of past moments. Steve Roach speaks much of place in his music, and the significance of place, and their memories render emotion. I think of Steve's music as a pointer to the super-reality that emotions give us glimpses of -- Seeing through a darkened glass dimly those wonders we deeply hope for.

  • Remember, as you judge this music, it is judging you. Those that don't "get" Steve Roach are doomed to a life of mediocrity.

  • He's right, these comments are full of shamaniacs. A true shaman speaks understandable WISDOM that every man can benefit from, not regurgitate (poorly and less intelligibly) whatever Ken Wilber/Arjuna Ardagh, etc. passage he/she read on the toilet this morning.

  • lol. how about replying directly to my comment next time instead of my profile so i don't have to wonder about the context, coward.

and your simple comment "hey,. fuck you" just shows how full of shit you actually are. I'm sure you're nothing without your ego.

    good luck.

  • Come on guys...smoke a peace pipe and just listen to the music. I ain't taking sides...I just hate to see anyone fighting over something that was not meant to be fought over. Do not mean to offend anyone. I am sure both of you are decent fellas.

  • Do your headphones not work or something?

  • Truth is, this music isn't super hard to make. It's great for meditative reasons. Very simple. So while Michael Jackson has all these complex dance moves and vocalizations, it's a diff. type of music, with a diff. set of objectives.

  • BYE BYE BYE!

  • No. Garbage is what you hear on almost every radio staion. This is thought provoking music for people with imagination. an adventure in sound and music.

  • Impresionant!

  • Obviously you know nothing about ambient music, which is fine...but don't go around trashing something you dont understand because it makes you look like a complete asshole.

  • then go and listen to your mainstream crap

  • as a musician i apreciate all types of music. and i apreciate the effort that was put into every song. even world music, i found this peice rather beautiful. but you are most likely just a stupid 12 year old that is brain washed by the one genre i cant apreciate... rap/main stream.....THAT.. is the repetitive music, just an on going beat with someone talking trash about women and drugs. but anyways, go have fun listening to that and leave us alone.

  • @kev6451 100% agree with you rap and mainstream cant really even be called music

  • @marknashland Who the hell do you think are to define what is and isn't music?! Music is art. Art, once defined, loses all meaning.

  • @marknashland Why not? Is only the music you like, real music?
