They should call this show Crashbusters because these days it's more about testimg an impossible "myths" just to have an excuse to blow something up or crash something at the end of the show....

Unless you have evidence that something is impossible, it should always be regarded as possible. And even if they DIDN'T know, it's just a physics calculation... Knowing the angle and velocity you would know whether it would clear the space or not.

Again they KNOW this. It's all just for show.

The premise is that what you see in the movie may be possible. But clearly the movie is taking a HUGE liberty by having the bus pop up in the air to make it appear that it is possible for a bus to make that gap.

Obviously in the real world a bus\car\anything would just continue straight along the same path and fall depending on how fast it was going.

No gap like that could be cleared without a ramp.
