Finally a run of the arcade version on Youtube, NES version is nice, but this arcade one as usual is so much better. Have both NES cart and arcade version on Data East Arcade Collection Wii. Both worthy additions to ones collection.
This game easily ate half my allowance. At the pizza place they told me I had to buy something to be in there. They didn't see my pumping an endless stream of quarters into the machine I guess. I bought garlic bread so I'd have enough quarters. I still love garlic bread beyond all reason.
This brings back some very special memories, i was only 13 when i first played this and i still remember the hexagonal joystick you had to twist for all the directions :) Seeing the guns before you pick them up gives a buzz because i remember how it felt seeing them and knowing what each one did.
This is a memory blast from the past :) Thanks for the upload.
I second, what getter7seven said....Nice work. Thanks for uploading this. It's been so long since I saw it in the arcade in Waco, Texas where I went to high school. Haven't seen it since, save for the occasional NES cart for sale at the local thrift store, and nice as the NES was, most arcade games got watered down on it. But now this along with some other Data East games have been released for the Nin Wii, so can see/ play it there, but this was/ is more enjoyable. Thanks again for uploading.
Great to see the best game i ever played being enjoyed by someone else. Good job.

I LOVED this game sooo much. I sucked at it bigtime, of course, but always played it in those free play arcades so I'd continue 'til it was over.
You know a game is completely badass when even a 1UP makes the game yell "ATTACK!"
Damn fine playing I must say. Thank you for uploading a classic!

I'm stuck at around 2:00, I can't enter the wall break; also I can't get all those silver chests during the level. Could it be a bug or something?
